  • wow i didn't realize that enemy from XII was Tonberry :O

  • one of my favorite monsters in the ff series. how could a cute, turtle-dolphin hybrid be so goddamn dangerous and annoying!?

  • where is Final Fantasy X-2 tonberry. That one was annoying too.

  • 2:36 Squall; CHARGING MA LAZOR!!!!!

  • You've missed Tonberries from FF5.

  • forgot crystal chronicles. In Moschet Manor, there are like 20 of them

  • Killing 20~ Tonberrys in the Cetra Ruins in FFVIII was the most annoying thing ever (even more if you try to use Card on them and then find out it doesn't count)

  • TONBERRYS FTW MOFO

  • Tonberry? TONBERRY!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!! I learned the hard way that tonberrys are dangerous little mother fuckers. They seem to have higher defences than most of the enemies (including bosses) throughout the final fantasy series.

  • mother fucking ff7 tonberry hit 32000 he broke the limit he hit OVER 9000!

  • AH!!! the might Tonberries.....or as i like to call them...buddist cactiars that have a thing for slasher movies....-_-...hate the fukers just like the cactiars....but least these guys dont wear a fake mostash

  • What the FUCK FF 12?!?!

  • wait a minut, what ahppened with the last one??, that was the lamest tonberry ever!!!

  • What IS a Tonberry anyway??

  • In Final Fantasy 6, the 'Pugs' had a counterattack called 'Step Mine'. Deals damage based off how many steps the character has taken in the game.

  • Comment removed

  • That Final Fantasy 7 one was a hacked super Tonberry.

  • In one it was called "dingleberry"

    Or something like that xD

I guess it doesn't count as a Tonberry

  • FFXI Tonberries > all

  • LOL FFXIII Tonberries actually run!

  • I HATE Tonberries!!!!!!

  • ugh those things r such a pain.......when i played ff7 in northern crater right when im about to kick sephy's butt, a tonberry shows up and kills the characters that happen to be close to their limits *grrr* it knows something............

  • Like your videos thus far. (Watched Tonberry and Cactuar, going to watch the rest as well.)

Though I have to comment on something: FFXII's "tonberry" is just a codename the pilot is using. I'm pretty sure it's a homage to the monster, if it doesn't appear ingame.

And FFXI's tonberries are really mean. ><;; Though that fight was easy as long as everyone kept their distanse.

Personally, my fave is the FFVIII's <3. Keep up the good work.

  • The defeated tonberry king actually sounded like it was saying sumimasen

  • First time I saw these guys in FF7 I was like, "Huh, he doesn't look too tough" Soon, I found myself asking, "Damn, how much damage does this guy take? Than he got too close to one of my party members and shanked him. I was like, "0_o, um gotta run!"

Than during FF9 when I first saw these guys I was like, "OH SHIT! Tonberries!! RUN!!!

  • doinkxD

  • Doink! haha love it!!

  • lol in FF3 (FF6) for the SNES they were called "Pug".

  • hahaah, karma's a bitch! tidus got RAPED.

  • That Master tonberry from VII was fucking annoying.

  • @TheICEMAN14596 I didn't even know the damage counter goes that high in that game!!!

  • Final Fantasy XII was complete garbage...

  • are they only in the advance version

  • squall: hu, one tonberry no problem!

    Master tonberry comes

    squall: OH SHIT

  • 1:30

    32,000 damage?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    WTF-BOOM!!!!!

  • You missed FFV... :(

  • Hmmm.... I really should try and take oen down in FF5.

  • ............Final fantasy XII is the only game with no tonberry......and when i first fought tonberry it was in Final fantasy VII it didn't do anything to me but walk around then its like..........1 minite it tried it tried to attack me but it already died and in FFX-2 it did same just walking around letting me kill it

  • @ShADowCloUDXstRIFe in FFX-2 i was not so lucky..It stabbed the hell out of me before i killed it.

  • @Lordrandom1 its cuz u have to act fast

  • FF12 fucked a lot of shit up

  • VII's tonberries were the best to me and seem to be the strongest. I remember encountering my first one ever in the caves before Sephiroth. I immediately double cast Knights of the Round like three times to rape him.

I don't remember a tonberry in IX. Were they missable? Also, the video implies that they were kind of weak/ encountered early on.

  • final fantasy 12 was GAY!!!

  • everyones grudge/karma was a scary move.. i think in one of the games at least it was based on how many enemies a person had beaten or something like that

  • FF9 tonberries were funny. They kept walking into each other and never got within knifing range xD.

  • tonberries were odd in 9

  • I just played/finished FF7 for the first time a month or so ago, but I didn't even see a tonberry in that game. =(

  • Maybe because you rushed through the parts that they were in in or maybe you were lucky XD you should look for them though and TRY! to beat them they a give a lot of exp

  • i always run

  • They were in FF5

  • I think Tonberries are my favorite FF enemy. Cute, yet when they appear your first thought is always "Oh shit!"

    Also, Don Tonberry ftw!

  • what I really hate about these dudes is that they don't look so life threatening, in fact they're cute. :D

Then after a minute or half a minute or so.

    *Game Over Screen*

  • ah, my little doinkers

  • is the master tonberry a new addition in the latest FF6 port?.

  • No. As far as I know, the Master Tonberry has always been in FF6. I have the PlayStation Anthology version of the game and he's in there, but I'm not really sure about the SNES version.

  • @ryanell666

no. Dragon's Den, Soul Shrine, and 4 new summons (GILGAMESH BEING ONE OF THEM!) are hte new content. ho, and youj can continue playing after the final boss. Infinite Lightrbingers.

  • <<<adds another one to the list and very true mettn attem :)

  • if only you added the tonberry from crystal cronicals my life as a darklord they are funny in there

  • 3 of them damn those suckers have way too high of hp points.

  • In the event of seeing a Tonberry, do these things:

    1: Panic

    2: Keep your distance

3: Blast it with your most powerful attacks

  • @MettanAtem

    Yeah but what if...

    DOINK

  • tonberry was fuckin mean in ff6

  • ffxi tonberries were the scariest mob. In that one temple

  • hell yeah D:!!!

  • ...What the heck was that at FFXII?! That was a tonberrry?!

  • you missed out ff5

  • "Remakes and updates of those games are featured, but I've opted to skip games like Tactics, FFX-2 and such. "

reading the descriptions is your friend

  • You forgot the Mega Tonberry in X-2.

    God I hate those guys.

  • WTD?

    WHAT

    THE

    DOINK?

  • @2:09: Squall: It's finally over.........damn.

  • dagger of doink! YES!

  • Don Tonberry is the deadliest.... EVERYTHING it does is almost always an instant kill (Karma, Chef's Knife, Voodoo).

  • well karma only is deadly if you have many kills, most damage is to Auron lovers

and if its someone who is not meant to kill for instance,Yuna is greater at magic then lulu but most people dont discover that,so they use her for healing/holy,so it wont do as much damage to yuna,if you haven't realized she is better at magic

  • LOL

    FF8

    Monster = ="

    DOINK

I always wondered why not deal 99999 damage...i still hate tomberries, they are so darn scary, swinging their lanterns and coming closer...*close eye then open*closer....*close eye then open* even closer....*close eye then open* in front of you....*close eye then open*....BAM bye bye

  • Final Fantasy VII has some attack that exceeds over 9999 hp damage. I originally saw an over 9999 hp damage at Final Fantasy VIII. I never saw an over 9999 hp damage at Final Fantasy VII before.

  • ALL TONBERRIES ARE AWESOME! lol ff12's tonberry was a ship. =P

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX Yea... has anyone noticed that a lot of mythical creatures are metallic objects in the latest FFs? Leviathan, ship FFXII, Tonberry... etc

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX Tonberry is not the name of the ship thing in ff12, it's the soldier name, the machine is an 'Air Cutter Remora'

  • @AncientVampyr Ah thanks for correcting me. =)

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX Actually, it was the guy's who used the ship codename.

  • @Hopohoo2 Haha thanks for the correction.

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX No problem.

    Tonberries FTW!

  • ffx-2 mega tonberries are by far the scariest

  • the tonberries pissed me off esp. in ffx where they countered every attack

  • best tonberry was on ff8, "Doink!" Lol

  • FF XII Tonberry epic

  • lmfao

  • 2:01 KICK HIS ASS, SQUAL!!!

I hate those little bastards... >.>

  • Ah, the tonberry was so evil..they are cute, they walk slowly towards you, and before you know it, WHAM! They just poke you with their little chef's knife and down you go.

  • el tonberry tambien aparece en final fantasy V, en la cueva detras de la catarata, cuando se va a matar a leviatan

  • That Tonberry in the the forest in FF7, where is that?

  • Gomen Nasi!

  • My First time fighting a Tonberry:

What is that....it's so cute...why is it coming toward me slowly.....slowly...it's Not dying....WTF!!!.....OMFG!! IT KILLED MY BEST CHARACTER REVIVE REVIVE NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah same here lol

  • @KanameTousen I second!

  • @LittlePjusk it pissed me off so much

  • @KanameTousen haha, I was weeping silently against the joystick.. XD!

  • @KanameTousen Same here lmao!

  • @KanameTousenmy first time was Tonberry eh? what the hell why are you getting closer, keep spamming omnislash cloud, SON OF A BITCH YOU LITTLE MOTHER FUCKER (uses barrets Op'd Ungarmax and kills it)

  • @kingk1132 see you hacked I didn't

  • Tonberries are mean!

  • tonberries r not mean

u always hit them first lol XD

  • Fucking FFXII....screwing up a good ole Tonberry.....

Loved FF8 though. Especially the summon

  • FFXll is dumb.

  • Our good ole tonberry....i could still remember its noise...DOINK! XD

  • the whole reason i started gaming on final fantasy is to have medieval stuff and creatures this mechanized bullshit that ff seems to be heading towards is NOT good as far as im concerned!

  • Well said my friend.

  • Nostalgia purists never cease to amuse me.

  • FF has kind of never been medieval :P maybe in I - V but vi vii viii ix x x-2 are no way near medieval :P.. but yes ffxii sucks balls

  • But that's what I was referring to. I like I-V I hate most of the others....

  • Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't tonberries get called "Pugs" a while back?

  • In the SNES version of FFVI, then known as FF3.

  • There were tonberries in either FF4 or FF5 as well, I remember finding them in a water cave of some description, so leviathan night be involved. They shuffled towards you (as best as the game engine could provide) like the later ones. I always had to run from them, they were too tough when I found them.

  • FFV.

Weirdly enough though, in the Anthologies version they were called Dingleberries.

    Yeah.

  • Where do you find the Tonberries in Final Fantasy 10?

  • Master Tonberries in the omega ruins, normal Tonberries in the chamber of the stolen fayth and Don Tonberry, the area creation for the sunken cave.

  • Awesome! You used my video for the FFXI part. I feel honored.

  • Well, thanks for being so cool about it, and taking the time to record the footage.

  • No problem. I'm glad you found it useful.

As an added thanks, I mentioned/linked your channel in a video I put up the other day.

    Sooo~ Thanks again.

  • Awesome dude. I checked out your stuff, it's damn good. Some of the better LP's I've seen on the Tube. Anyway, keep it up bro, it's guys like you that make the YT gaming community more than just frustrated fanboyism. Props.

  • the tonberry from ff7 is a modded version not found in the game. the one in the game isn't that powerful and is found in the northern cave.

  • you forgot the tonberries from FF Tactics advance

  • I didn't forget. Please read the video description.

  • there are tonberries in ipsen's castle in ff9 but yeah i dont remember tonberries in ff7's ancient forest

  • aww! tonberrys are sooo cute!!!

although i dont remember seeing them in Ipsen's Castle in FFIX

  • hmm i dont remember seeing any tonberries in the places that you showed on ff7 and ff9

  • Thanks a lot for the video good memories :D

  • yay in FFXII tonberrys r english

  • "Doink" XD aww the cute cute tonberries

  • Cute...until you're gutted by one.

  • XP true true
