  • It's true that people forget how much work is behind this. I used to be very shy (and did not like this about myself at all) and it took me several years of practise and getting over myself to now be the person who can go up to a complete stranger and start a conversation. For presentations I feel that the best way to go is to copy the people who do well in your opinion and when you get more comfortable work your own personality and style into it.

  • Thank you for uploading this good sir

  • you have to be on amphetamine to get up there and do all that

  • I have a presentation in front of my Uni class tomorrow! This vid has helped me. :-)

  • Hey I don't like to be a naysayer, especially when the content of this clip was quite insightful. But content doesn't make a good public speaker. So my criticism is that this guy's approach seemed very contrived. One might say that he lacks charm.

  • pretty effective ending!

  • I hope i will overcome my fear, thank you for this video!

  • inspiring.. hope it'll help me to overcome my fear

  • Great speech! Darren shows that the ability to do a good job of speaking in public is a skill that we're not born with, but rather something that all of us can learn to do well...

  • I think you were not as bad as you like to paint it. YOu were actually good enough to keep the people in the sound foreground giggling nonstop! I propose that you're a better comedian than public speaker.
