  • Do anything take us out of this gloom. Sweet...

  • I got the LP when I was 12 years old....too young to appreciate it!!! I still have it!

  • Thank you so much. We do what we like.

  • Thanks for the memories, saw them at Woodstock ( 94 ) it made my whole weekend, again, thank you for the posting, God Bless

  • Thanks a lot for the posting. Just listening to an LP brings back so many great memories. I remember buying second-hand copies of Live Dead and Iron Butterfly and the good stuff was so heavily played. I will always prefer a few crackles to the soulless digital sound.

  • @Jeffmage Well said Bro

  • Good job on video. Watch for new release from BRANDON JAROD, coming soon!

  • Dear Mister Fantasy play us a tune

Something to make us all happy

Do anything take us out of this gloom

    Sing a song, play guitar

    Make it snappy

You are the one who can make us all laugh

But doing that you break out in tears

Please don't be sad if it was a straight mind you had

We wouldn't have known you all these years

  • It's better with blotter. If you can imagine.

  • That's the 1 that goes down memory lane :) Tks.

  • Right off the album...How I wish I had this on vinyl. I can hear the clicks and pops right at the start - how I envy you!

  • life was so less complicated then.

  • kudos to my sister for turning me on to this when i was 16

    47 now

  • Masterful riff in the middle of the song. And the final bit also absolutely memorable. Thanks for sharing!

  • One of the very best songs Traffic ever wrote or sang. I love the melancholy nature of this song, as well.

  • I am an original owner of "Heavy Traffic." Dr. Rock

  • I am an original owner of "Heavy Traffic," with "Dear Mr. Fantasy," "40 Thousand Headmen," etc. Thanks for posting this. Dr Rock

  • And another five stars for sharing it. The sound is great - Steve Winwood , Jim Capaldi - love them.

  • This is the (near) title track from "Mr Fantasy".Released in the states as "Heaven Is In Your mind".If you buy both versions of the cds you can get all mono and stereo variations including the singles and b sides, except the longer stereo version of Paper Sun which is on "Smiling Phases" and other compilations.Trainspotter or Trafficspotter?best

  • I love Jimi Capaldi's business-like drums on this song.

  • simply a...great old song..and im 14 and i like it =)

  • I like the crackling of the vinyl, damn I miss the vinyl. There is nothing like it. You get five stars for keeping the record in good condition .)

  • I just buy them at thrift stores. It's the original owners who should get the five stars for keeping them in good condition so people like me can keep on listening.

  • This song's from a really great album: "Traffic". Looking for another couple songs from that album - "Dealer", and "No Name, No Number ...". Would Buffalo611, or anyone else have them (and upload them)? Thanx.

  • great song! traffic really are underated, as are most things steve winwood has done

  • Winwood is virtually playing all instruments here , [ gtrs, bass , keys ]and vocals -through a leslie ? 1968. great and unmatched by anyone today......

  • ....and what is Dave Mason playing? He was a member at the time and is a great guitar player.

  • i don't think the composer had anybody's best interests at heart except his own.

  • Huh?? You mean like in a Kantian sense that no act is altruistic and everything is done out of greed?

    I'm being serious ...

  • I had these LP. Brings back memories. Very underated band.

  • I love Jim Capaldi's drumming on this song.

  • This is what i'm talkin about! thanks for the post, really dig it.
