L.A. Noire has real licensed cars, but many of them are brands that are no longer in buisiness, or models no longer made. It's cheaper to license cars then. Also, it's actually in L.A so it has real landmarks.

GTA IV has parodies of real cars and landmarks. GTA V will be the same, I'm sure of it. The cars in the trailer look like the same kind of parody cars, and Los Santos is fake so it can't have real landmarks.

Personally, I think having made up stuff is more fun.

They aren't using it, it is too time-consuming for GTA V they're are no interrogations, so motion scanning is pointless. It will not happen, and haven't you noticed motion scanning causes bodies to look disconnected from the head? Well in Grand Theft Auto V the bodies look great. They are just using the fantastic Europhria engine instead.

Why do people keep comparing GTA 4 to L.A Noire?

GTA 4 are for people who wants pure adrenaline and mayhem, going around screwing things around with a kickass gangster.

L.A Noire isn't. It's a linear game that brings out a beautiful story of a cop and a very corrupted police force. It's for someone who wants to play something that takes things slow.

L.A Noire is more like a matured version of phoenix wright to me.
