How would you desribe this kind of party? Classy and elegant during the early hours, and fading to a damn good time when the lights go out. Seriously ineed to know
OMG! I can smell the cologne from here! What a beautiful display of manhood. I would love to be one of the woman invited to that party. I remember when men used to look and act like that. I miss those days.
who the hell drinks vodka straight or even on the rocks. if you want to drink vodka and be manly drink a martini. if you want to drink straight and be manly drink brown liquor it actually has a taste
Best add ever. When I saw these commercials I started drinking Ketel one again. Hadn't drank this since my Army days (late 90's-early 2000's) and I admit, I was inspired. Now I keep a large bottle in the freezer at all times.
i used to only drink bourbon whiskey...but damn this commercial is badass and makes me want to reconsider. reminds me of a scene from a guy ritchie film haha
And if that said "whiskey" instead of "beer," I might actually agree. Hell, even bourbon would count for something. Beer is for guys who have no stones.
On the other hand, if this were an advert for REAL vodka, I might actually protest. You do know that real (Russian) vodka is around 180 proof, right? The stuff you'll find in the store, like Ketel One for instance, is merely diluted pap.
Im sure someone can tell me; is this some kind of artistic style? The way the commertial is set up using dark colors, shadows and giving it a sence of depth. The closest style that i can think of (not that i know any at all) is noir; but this isn't exactly that - at least i dont think it is. Any of you artsy types care to give me a hand?
@xelmo007x Noir Urban. Most city themes have a granite/stone palette if they're giving the sophisticated or classy feel. It's meant to conjure up images of black tie events and their after parties; where the colleagues can actually enjoy a man's drink without all the pomp and discipline associated with the work scene. (i know, 2 year comment response means i'm trolling)
Haha, you're right, maybe I should go back to school and get my Ph.D. I always try and take lessons from people who don't know how to spell you or your. Thanks for the insightful, clearly thought out comment, I will really try to take that into consideration.
I have to agree with you sneak3. This is one of the best ads I have ever seen for alcohol. I am glad to see that they are putting real men, GENTLEMEN, on the forefront. No more binge drinking frat boys swigging down vodka red bulls and bad beer. Its refreshing to see ads portraying what drinking use to be like.
I can't agree with you more, strysniewicz. Frat boys are casting a cloud on us classy, college-educated men that wear suits to bars and drink fine alcohol. i'm proud to order Ketel One with my colleagues after work. God I love this commercial.
"There was a time when men were men," oh yeah, the good old days of sexism and racism. Oh man, don't you wish those days were back? Am I right Ketel one? Thanks for convincing me to never ever buy Ketel One.
'there was a time when men were men'....hahah I saw this commercial today and had to look it up. 0:17 you'll see that handsome man Steve Vanda...he was my male model for a fashion show a couple months ago. major crush on him, it's so funny and completely stalker-ish of me to recognize him in the commercial.
then again, it's just a real nice commercial of some good looking dudes. loves it
candywinters21 thank you for letting us know that cute guy is Steve Vanda. He rivals Ed Quinn (who is also in the commercial) in the hotness department.
I thought the guy was Christian Bale because the voice sounds like the Batman voice he does. Anyway. Sexy commercial. I love all of these Ketel One commercials on TV. Sexy.
Well for starters they don't make men like this, so this is a good way to reach out to the men, plus the guy in the middle is so sexy! i would love to sit, drink and converse with these intelligent and good looking men
Jacobr4 is right. Drinking is meant to stimulate intelligent conversation. The theme, look and pattern of behavior that commercial portrays is a dying art. Gentleman take note, we need to bring it back
THIS is how you drink vodka. I mean, whatever happened to sitting down with a few friends and conducting an intellectual conversation whilst having a few drinks? Drinking is a social activity, not an event full of reckless abandon. The only REAL way to drink vodka is the Russian way. I kid you not.
