Shawn won't be competing at nationals this year, and its unclear whether she'll be returning to elite gymnastics. Samantha Peszek will be competing at the American/Cover Girl Classic this Saturday (you can watch it on universal sports) in hopes to qualify for Nationals, along with Nastia.

Alicia Sacramone was a great asset to the 2008 Olympic team. She is a beautiful soul, a beautiful person and a beautiful gymnast. I am soo proud that she pushed through all of her trials and tribulations to make it to the games. She definitely has some of the best tumbling and power I have ever seen and she deserved so much more than she got. I wish her the best of luck for the future. GO Alicia!!!! You Rock!

Sacramones performance was terrible during the olympics and was the reason why Team USA lost. With that kind of performance and still made it to the national team, I wonder how many coaches did she have to sleep with in order to get the spot.
