I remember when I first saw this, I thought the Dinobots were going to be Robot Dinosaurs that turned into cars. I had the same reaction as Huffer did, when I saw they were robot humanoids that turned into Dinosaur robots. I was disappointed, and thought this was a dumb idea. By the end of the episode, the Dinobots won me over.

At 6:05, the DVD version has a unique error in which it doesn't show the Dinobots' energy powers destroying the rubble. Yet in mjtfreeze's version of S.O.S. Dinobots (using an older VHS copy, I suspect), the same scene *does* show the lasers coming from Grimlock's mouth, Slag's horns and Sludge's eyes.

More of a reason why I wish Kid Rhino didn't "re-master" the episodes.

That is because the Dinobots where created by the Autobots like Ratchet, wheeljack and Huffer and Prime. They were built fromt the ground up. Vector Sigma gave life to the Stunticons and airealbots. The stunts. and the bots where already built. The stunts and bots were just cars and planes and they had alittle energon to help sigma.

Production and release orders are different. SOS Dinobots is number 8 in production order. I remember Dinobot Island and the Immoboliser being introduced very early in the second season, yet there production was after other episodes (e.g. City of Steel)- possibly to introduce new characters. This may also suggest why in A Prime Problem Warpath and Powerglide appeared then disappeared for a few episodes.

I believe Skyfire was the first Transformer to be introduced post More Than Meets The Eye!
