  • The video is flawed.

  • which is better the canon vixia hfs100 or 200???

  • '

nice canon with full color video,,,

    how about 40fps than 30

  • how come this is crap compared to you same test video of the hfs10, which is the same as this hfs100 only it has built in memory?

  • @STENONE1

this test is totally flawed, im just gonna base my decision of the HF S10 motion test.

this video doesnt even go to 1080 this video should be redone or just taken off.

  • I am very confused. I just bought the Canon Hfs100 and have installed the supplied software, ImageMixer3. I am filming the video in 1920x1080 and I import it into ImageMixer as 1920x1080. It plays back as 1920x1080 also. The problem is when i try to export the files to my computer they are only exporting as 720x480. Please help!

    Thanks!

  • @EclipseProductions89

Check on your export settings. Or try using another program like Adobe Premiere.

  • @EclipseProductions89 go in image maker import file to libary click make movie, edit, click on save, big button at top, then save file as H.264 for full definition

  • good try of test. doesn't seem to be in hd tho.

  • did u press the button that said HD?

    I see hd now

  • Why would this comment be marked as spam when it is only a simple question being asked? And would my comment be also marked as spam too because I asked a question?

Oh yeah to compare I am more impressed with the sony xr520v cam, This one has a grainy quality.

  • It's not a camera - it's test. Camera is brilliant but you need to know how to use it.

  • what is the key to actual SLOW-MOTION footage tho? inside the camera? lower shutter speed? what?... always tried to acheive that, but have come up short.

  • @comicbookjunkie1 You want to shoot good slow motion video? You need a high speed camera for that. To catch high speed frames. Tons of frames per second.

  • IT HURTS MY EYES!!!!!

  • what are peoples oppinions on this video...is it good or bad? hard to tell without being able to zoom in another level...is there a bit of noise on the part of the spinning circle...?

How does this compare to footage shot on aCanon HV30 or HV40 which uses HDV

  • very good, thanks for posting

  • The train seems to stop at some points. It's not running smooth. Is that a YouTube thing?

  • ya its youtube

  • It seems to be related to the ads - the train stutters every time an advert on the page refreshes.

  • yes, or a processing issue of some sort. this is not a very good test.

  • what is 60i? is it 60 frames per second?

  • nvm my previous message :o) Here's a better explanation: Interlaced scan refers to one of two common methods for "painting" a video image on an electronic display screen (the second is progressive scan) by scanning or displaying each line or row of pixels. This technique uses two fields to create a frame. One field contains all the odd lines in the image, the other contains all the even lines of the image. A PAL based television display, for example, scans 50 fields every second

  • (25 odd and 25 even). The two sets of 25 fields work together to create a full frame every 1/25th of a second, resulting in a display of 25 frames per second.

  • no, not exactly

it is the same as 30 frames per second but with more details

30frames upper field, 30 frames lower field...

it's like all 30 frames divided in 2 pieces, it's like you getting 60 frames but basically you get only more detail...

    i hope this helps
