  • Thanks for posting this! My daughter was born 6 months ago and lost her lower left leg to ABS and her right foot is clubbed. We found out at the 20 week ultrasound and I would just like to say- to any pregant mothers out there who are going through the same thing- it is SO much easier once your child is born. It is still hard today to deal with people's stares, but our daughter is healthy and happy and such a wonderful part of our lives.

  • I love this video! It makes me feel like there's so much more to get out of it. Im currently pregnant. At 23-24 weeks the doctor confirmed ABS on my babyboy's right hand but also said that a cleft palate was present. So im wanting to know if you guys experienced of this a cleft lip or palate situation with ABS?

  • how sad

  • Such a lovely video! My little boy also was affected by amniotic band syndrome in his left hand, and at five months old is just as cheerful as precious Deacon. Thank you for sharing this video to help show that all babies may be different, but the joy they bring us is universal.

  • He is just beautiful. We have just found out our unborn baby has a band around its right wrist and will probably be born without a hand. We are shocked, but your clip has helped. Thank you very much.

  • He is beautiful!! Im 24 and was also born with ABS on my right hand, but still have my thumb. I grew up with family that never treated me different, so never treat him any different. Let him know hes not alone, I did grow up thinking I was the only one like this so it was a little hard. Most of the time I even forget about my ABS now lol.

  • Deacon is beautiful! I am 35 years old and I was born without my right hand from ABS. It has never been a problem for me and I've always done whatever I felt like doing. Deacon will be the same. Just be sure to never treat him like there is anything wrong. Let him figure it out and he will adapt! That is the thing I am most thankful for in the way I was raised.

  • i have a daughter that doesnt have her right hand so yes i can relate to you and what you are going through. my daughter is 8 months old and is a happy baby as well. your baby is so cute and the way he laughs makes me laugh :)
