@jed1masterig88 That's because in the old days there was only one program per week and one pay per view every few months. Stuff that happened in feuds at house show was reported on news-style during the tv show and a lot of it was done via interviews and promos. Nowadays we have the internet, we have millions of magazines, we have two live tv shows every week, you just can't drag it out as long as you used to be able to. Also territories were a lot smaller so people went to more shows.
@Bystander81 yes thats true, but the quality of the feuds were also much higher back then. regardless of how many hours per week. the last feud in the last 5 years i can think of is (and i hate to say it) cena vs edge, that lasted atleast 4 months maybe 6 at the most. i hate cena, but atleast it was a feud that went the distance. i do miss the old days.
@jed1masterig88 Yea me too...but that feud between Cena and Edge was actually pretty good. Also the Undertaker's feud with Batista was another one that lasted a pretty good while and had some great matches. But there probably won't ever be anything like the Flair/Sting feud that lasted three years or the 4 Horsemen and Dusty Rhodes, or Rock and Austin...unfortunately most of the people in the business today don't have the charisma to carry a feud out that long.
@MultiRocketman007 Same with Undertaker / Mark Calloway as Texas red in his first match. Ironically he was managed that night by Percy pringle / Paul bearer. Percy even joked Taker will tell you the only reason he was out there with him that night was to show him how to get back to the locker room after Brody beat the crap out of him. The match is on youtube here somewhere.
bruiser brody is the reason no respectable wrestler goes anywhere near puerto rico cause that scumbag should have been hung for what he did to Bruiser typical puerto rican doesnt get his way has to stab somebody bruiser should have seen what was coming had he known what was coming he would have shoved that shank up his ass!!!
I want everyone to Look up New Jack interviews and listen to what he says about Tazz. He is very informative about Tazz's toughness, his unwillingness to fight RVD back when he was slapped.
@Zamudiokid Tazz even says he's not the toughest guy in the world, he just plays a total badass in the ring.
Tazz is kind of in that personality where Big Van Vader is - legitimately tough in the ring, but outside the ring, total teddy bear. Nothing wrong with that.
It's annoying when they show the matches as they're pretty clearly only used as filler. We don't see the beginning or end...what's the point other than to waste time.
Brock is crazy too. He used to just fight in his little town, got a rep for being a hot head and he is still a hot head. Seems he used to be sort of a bully. I was not surprised when he started mma, I was more surprised that after talking crap about his wwe days that mma bookers gave him a chance. Yet he was still over hyped in mma, not that he was not talented, he just did not earn most of his fan faire. Ended up being the controversy of him going from wwe to ufc that got him hype, not ability.
Why are they talking "bad asses" with four guys who, beyond their ring persona, were anything but? There are tons of retired wrestlers - and genuine bad asses - who would probably be glad to forego fishing or fanfests to record an episode or two of LOW.
@TheLeroyMoon Possibly because between these four, they probably know all the stories, and people, they're talking about. And it probably doesn't hurt that, I think, they're all WWE employees, so WWE doesn't have to pay someone to come in and do a show, when they already have these guys.
I'm surprise Ross brings up Brody knowing what Hodge did to him at Ft. Smith. In terms of straight killers in wrestling, Brody doesn't come close to ranking.
Ok thats one incident, and Brody was still young. Ask Bruno about brody ? Or better yet Luger or the larger number of people who were afraid of him. Being tough or a bad ass also means being able to get your ass kicked and still be seen as tough. and there is always someone tougher then you
Bruno was legit bro. Brody was pretty decent amatuer himself, But again its all open to discussion. And being a shooter doesnt always mean your the best or even tough. There were some pretty bad ass dudes

old school feuds were great, same wrestlers fighting each other for at least 6 months at a time, nowadays a feud lasts 1 maybe 2 months
