As somebody who always leans towards the left, I have loads of respect for Ron Paul.

He is the only Republican I have ever seen talk about caring for the average person AND MEAN IT.

Also, his defence of the Constitution and his repeated attempts at raising the credibility of Congress are second to none. This is the kind of person that the Republicans ought to have nominated - it's a shame that more people didn't vote for him during the Republican primaries.

Well done (as a video, good effects), but most of what Ron Paul wants to do is take us back in time, so this is a bit misleading; he is clearly *not* progressive, wanting instead to revert America back to pre-industrial government. Ax free education, FDA, OSHA, Civil Rights, Fair Labor, Welfare, Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid, etc. etc.

I argue that is not leading us forward, but dragging us back. And few people are that extreme, and that is why he is ignored.

Ok firstly if you look at my other video which is ron paul march one i actually have video of the twin towers collapsing reversed so they reform into the sky and i think this mabey one of the most powerful images i could come up with to show ron paul is taking us back in time before 9/11 before the patriot act and before the iraq war, i'm panning to do another video were all the events of the last 7 years are visually reversed, the first bombings in afganistan and then finaly 9/11 reversed.

Artistically, a wonderful idea, I hope the video turns out well. The march video was very well done also. And as I mention there, his anti-military stance is his strongest, drawing support from liberals like me.

However, I strongly support the programs he wants to get rid of, such as those mentioned above. As president he would have wide-ranging power to destroy them (look at how Bush crippled EPA/FDA/etc., and he's not as fundamentally against them).

If he was *only* anti-war...

Name one modern nation without similar regulations. In fact, most of Europe is MORE socialist. These programs were created for good reasons, and yes, I am almost certain they helped. Some specific rules are needlessly complicated and/or counterproductive, but overall they build a more egalitarian society.

Does our ingenuity help more? Absolutely: we advance as humans mainly due to technology. In that sense we live in a Utopia compared to just a couple hundred years ago. But so does gov.

so when does this system of regulations become corrupted and be retroactive? I believe that we've hit that point and need to roll back some bullshit, rely on prosecution of polluters, and make it easier to do so.

My problem with regulation is that ill intentioned litigation gets a fair nod by a lazy populace.

i live in the UK but i will be flying into USA to support Ron Paul in Washington on July 12th 2008.

i do not want to be in the position to tell my kids that i had a chance to make a change and sat on my fat ass & did nothing.

a few hundred bucks in flights and a few days off work are nothing compared to the time and effort Dr. Ron has given to OUR service in his 20 years in congress.

why not use your tax rebate to finance the trip? Put that Bush bribe money to good use
