I'm considering buying a Shure Sm7b.

at the time of this video I ran my sm7 into an m-audio dmp3 preamp, into an m-audio mobilepre interface into logic express where I used compressors in the program, but I've since sold my mobilepre interface and now I have an mbox pro 2....by the way the sm7b is an amazing mic and I highly recommend it to anyone recording strong male vocals!

@archenemy9898 I agree. I just used it on two live recordings (a Shinedown cover and an original) and I can't imagine using a different mic for that application. I played a show last month and used it live as well, and got a lot of compliments on the vocal sound quality.
