  • Ford Cosworth engine? You're doing it right.

  • wait a minute...

  • Finnish rally legend Juha Kankkunen owns this car :)

  • A1....

  • GODDAMN SON SLOW DOWN...lol jk HIT THEM LIL' KIDS ON THA ROAD

  • In my honest opinion, one of the FINEST hot rods EVER built!!!!'

Definitely NOT a 'cookie cutter' hot rod, but instead, one man's masterpiece.

  • @jgmagoo1 it´s a sleeper :P

  • 3rd to 4th gear i hear no drops in the rpm

  • Absolutely awesome!!!

  • Awesome !! :D

  • 250hp, and it goes that quick!? Imagine he droped a ramjet 502 in that thing...

    *starts to drool...*

  • Now THAT'S what i call a sleeper :D

  • Cool car

  • how fast?

  • This car was featured in Hot Rod magazine sometime back, still have it somewhere. Very awesome work, the guy who had it built is some rally driver. Completely custom designed/built chassis and suspension.absolutely amazing work

  • @FurrtherMoor You're a retard and I hope you die of penile cancer.

  • lmao is that a Honda motor

  • @xXBRETT972558Xx972 no its better than honda its ford bda engine. He is very lucky to have that engine

  • No V8? Very disappointing

  • @magnum9987 @djbazzmaster Original Hot Rods only have 4 cylinders. But oh, the possibilities.

  • im missing the v8 sound ...

  • BTW, those wheels? They aren't wooden! They're billet Aluminum craftily painted to look like wood.

This, my friends, is the sleeper to end all sleepers and there aren't many cars I would take over this... Certainly none I wouldn't have to take a long deep consideration before picking them over this one.

  • @greeptown This is real dude, go to the site, the engine is modified with a fuel injection kit and is beefed up to put out more hp. If that's not enough it has an actual transmission instead of the original open clutch design.

  • @greeptown If you knew just what kind of motor that is and just what they did to the chassis (hint, nothing's original of the suspension), you'd realize that the video is real. It really is that fast. BTW, they have a switch on the panel that makes the engine miss, faking an old engine sound. Flip that switch to normal when some wingnut in a GTI or big wing Civic thinks he's going to pass you :-)

  • This is way cool! Wish I had thought of it first!

  • i like the idea! :)

  • that poor car! those cars werent made for this, and let it be like that!

  • @TheSupervincent Click the link in the description. The engine's not the only thing that got "the treatment." It all blends into classic but classic it's not. Frame, Suspenders, Motor, etc. are all modified or replaced with modern parts.

  • @paytontech ah, ok. but its just, that i like these cars very much... and hate it when people turn it into hotrods or some shit like that.

  • @paytontech so basically, its a modern vintage. or modernized vintage, i guess.

  • Very nice

  • fake classic .

  • Beautiful job...Henry would love it.

  • ford has delt with cosworth through out the years in fact they make hi-po focus and fiesta engines now, so i dont think putting one in a model A is "blashphemy" however i do think putting a 350 small block chevy in one is like digging up Henry ford and kicking him in the balls but most people are ok with that??? this car is awsome

  • @brianszoo I agree completely!!! Looks like a nice car but they wrecked it by changing the engine so drastically! If I get a chance I want to restore a 37 Ford Pickup completely factory including the 6 volt electrical system and the cable/rod brake system, no 12volt and no hydraulic brakes -- exactly the way it came from Ford in 1937!!! Anyone can customize but you rarely see a restoration that is completely factory correct.

  • Its a 250hp rally car engine.

  • That is so damn bitchen!!!!! Hell Yeah!

  • a classic 1929 Ford Model A with a 1970s Cosworth engine. Whats next, putting a original Model A engine in a 2010 Ferrari? That too will sound silly. Image and sound mismatch.

  • amazing car , good work

  • This is actually better than porn

  • damn!that's what i call a sleeper :D

  • this car can not be made fast enough to run shine in....

  • this car would can not be made fast enough to run shine in....

  • lol!! too sick!!

  • LOL

  • Absofuckinlutly beautifull!!!!!

  • Keep her Lit!

  • haha sounds like an import motor O.o

  • @sohc004 Well, as far as I know, Cosworth isnt made in Finland so youre probably right.

  • @sohc004 dude it is :P

  • What's with the dumb shits calling this fake?

  • @pnyk They obviously have never seen a Ford Cosworth BDA engine and have no clue what they;re on about. I once owned a ford Escort MKII with a 2.0 BDA, what a car.

  • @TheCustom34ford

    BDG? 1,6bda 1,8-2,0 bdg?

  • IS this still using the Flathead 4 banger? LOL

  • Absolutely, one of the finest hot rods ever built!!

Check out their web site! The engineering and craftsmanship are WAY over the top!!

If you're not a real car enthusiast, you will never 'get it'.

  • What a wonderfull work of engineering and Ford Oem combination of the best products...

  • VTEC just kicked in yo!

  • fakeee

  • that is amazing!

  • i love the way you made the engine period looking!

  • thats was great, luv the wheels

  • SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

If that thing doesnt put a smile on your face, seek professional help immediately!

  • This is my dream car.... period.

  • this is a pretty stupid car to build up, talent aside.

  • @kingcrimson234 why do you say its a stupid car too build up?

  • Shear talent to build this car. I love how its still Ford powered AND still a four cylinder.

And I like the music too.

  • WTF is with the retarded music? lol

  • If Bonnie and Clyde had had this, they would have lived to a ripe old age.

  • Sim City 3000 music at the end.

  • Model A Ford and a tank full of gas!

Mouth full of pussy and a hand full of ass!

  • @b0rat07 Quote of the day.

    Old Fords kick ass.

  • u are borat indeed for this comment. great success !

  • Absolutely awesome build! Props for Scandinavian car enthusiasts! They really know how to be totally original!

  • moonshiners would only wish to have this

  • @marchingwildcatsnake I herd these were later used on nascar tracks in the early days.

  • But ... this car is running too!

  • This is a real sleeper!

  • OMG if people would look at the pictures instead of putting stupid comments they would understand the work that went into this machine! awesome work guys!! this thing is sweet!

  • Thing sounds like it has a VTEC motor in it, am I right?

  • @corvettels9 nope it's a Coswoth :D

  • @BatkoRadko555 lol I coulda sworn that thing had VTEC kicking in, yo. hahahahaha

  • @BatkoRadko555 oh wow I didn't even read the info. haha

  • Now THIS is a proper sleeper.

  • Ich watched all the 200 Pictures. As a Metalworker i have to say this is very well done!

    I like your work :-)

  • the world oldest ricer car jp

  • oh you messed up the good classic .

  • WOW I just looked at the link its pics of the build if you have time its a must look. Any questions you might have about the car will be answered thru the link and I must say to the men who rebuild this crazy car, BRAVO! Its simply amazing job, as far as the price I don't know how much it cost them but it was worth every single cent. Would love to see more cars redone like this. Such a beautiful car, I would pay big bucks to drive this car for an hour. Oh the wooden wheels are not wood. A+

  • I want one

  • Amazing! It turns round a corners without understeering.... What year inside parts are in this proper 1920s sports car?

  • Ferrar"A"

  • dude it sounds like a Porsche or something, hahha crazy shit :D

  • Comment removed

  • Mesmerizing and seriously hot in a very cool way!!! Well done.

  • whys it sound like a tunner lol?

  • Checked out their website. Seriously impressive work on all their cars. I particularly like their Rally-Ferrari 308.

  • The chassis must be from a modern car too. I can't imagine a 1929 car cornering that well.

  • Amazing car, it appears to handle nimbly. I love your Darth Vader gloves!

Can anyone tell me (in a message) the name of the song that starts at 2:40?

  • That was frickin' awesome! I loved every second of it.

  • That's totally kick ass!

  • sound like a honda

  • @zoneracer Hondas have a more hollow sound than this engine. If anything, it sounds like the 4AG 16v, seeing as the 4AG was basically a copy of the Cosworth BDA

  • I saw this car in Hot Rod magazine. That model A has a full race Cosworth engine making 250 hp that is disguized as a vintage Ford engine. Its a wolf in sheeps clothing. You would never suspect that its a racecar.

  • Idk anything about these, how much do they usually put out? And this is the original motor that comes in the model A"s?

  • @Traxxas1992 they have a 4 cylinder engine with about a 40 hp output

  • @Traxxas1992, this is not the original motor, the original is a 200 ci flat head four. about 40hp

  • The first Shelby

  • damn i want that car more then any other car out there.not only does it have the looks and all the power your ever need it goes around corners like its on rails.this video is fucking epic and i love the car holy crap i just came :)

  • HOLY SHYT .... I thought this was fake until i saw the dyno and end footage.!!!!!!!! I love it....!!!! 10 out of 5 stars

  • Nice! I got a '29 A also, is yours a Sedan or a Coupe?

  • the baddest model A on youtube.

  • Thats 1 hell of a restomod

  • thats horrible...

    disgrace to such a classic

  • @atari26003

check the description box and look at the restoration on this thing. i think these guys know what they are dooing. and they havent destroyed anything.

  • @rocketman468 never said destroyed.

i saw the link too, im sorry if it came across that way.

I just dont think it should sound like that... at all lol

  • OMG THIS IS AWESOME!

  • OMG YOU RUINED THE CAR!!!!!!!!!

  • what engine are you running? it sounds like a motorcycle.......

  • @AGSAbbott

Cosworth's BDA engine, present in several Ford Escorts made for rally

  • @AGSAbbott did you actually watch the video? or can't you read?

  • what the hell is that he's wearing? Welding gloves ;o

  • @priest008

    Retard its in Finland!

  • @priest008 They are not Americans but Finish. There are lots of hotrods, so why do you care to complain about this one. It even looks stock.

  • i love it , classic stock looks, with modern preformance

  • HAHA!! this model A hauls more ass than my 78 trans am!

  • holy crap that cool

  • they should defenetly feature your car in TopGear!

  • I just looked at all of the build pictures, your attention to detail and fooling the naked eye is unbelieveable!! you sir, are a profit!!

  • Does not compute! D:

  • like WRC car :D

  • I think this would be a propper getaway car.

    Headline:

Man got away after bank robbery in a 1929 Ford model A.

    XD

  • Oh lord, I NEED ONE!!

  • John Dillinger and Al Capone would be proud!!!

  • hahahahhah that was so FUCKIN AWESOME :D

  • This is one of the most well-designed and constructed cars I've seen. That Cosworth sounds amazing going through the gears. Nicely done.

  • This is my favorite car on youtube, let me know if you get tired of it. Unique and well-constructed. Nice work.

  • Can you imagine driving this around town?

  • @crackdog69 Imagine pulling up to a light next to some teen with his tin can exhaust.

  • this is completely unnatural, but seems as though it was meant to be

  • I once did 17.5 seconds at a 1/4 mile drag strip in a '29 Model A coupe. twin single carbs and split ex manifold. About 5 seconds faster that stock. Wasn't mine, and the first time I ever drove it.

  • I'll take two

  • wow and it still looks original.

  • ok i correct myself........it looked like the vid was sped up until i watched the dyno. Actually, it still looks kinda sped up but thats a nice engine sound.

  • just looks sped up.

  • ...damn! that shits fast!

  • Ha ha brilliant.

Thats asking a hell of a lot of those wooden spoke wheels though!

The BDA even sort of looks liek the flathead the way you have it painted up liek that. Good work.

  • Nice !!!!!

.. but to slow for the german autobahn. Lots of model A´s are faster here ! ( smile,smile..)

    -

  • what tha hell oô amazing

  • Minkä pyörän moottorin ne on siihen laittanu :D

Komian kopan tosin ootta tehny, huijjaa varmasti monia, A mallin moottori tuo kuitenkaan ei ole :D kuuleehan tuon perkeles jo äänestä. Loistavaa työtä. Btw tuo linkki ei muuten toimi ainakaan itellä :I kokeilin kolmea selainta

  • @KeminmaanKauhu

no eikö siinä lukenu että joku cosworthin moottori?

  • this could be deadly

    but it sure is awesom

  • This car is a piece of fine engineering, beautiful. Better for not having a boring V8, and it handles too!

  • I beg to differ

  • Eissäää Peitää!!!

  • Суперкар!

  • ill buy that car name the price

  • wonder what kind of tranny and rear end it has

  • 200 KMH is 124 MPH, wow, i am surprised how that wooden spoke can actually handle those turns at that speed, it even sounds like it has a motorcycle engine in it, LoL, great car!

  • Those look like metal wheels painted to look like wood. This is an extremely well engineered car.

  • @SpiritsoftheWolf i think the wheels are billet aluminium painted up like wood

  • @FCCOOL, LoL it sure fooled me when i saw that after it making them turns at that speed, i was like how in the hell the wooden spoke wheels stay intact like that when it makes those turns at highspeed.... still a great car

  • There actually metal spokes made to look wood!

  • Wow, that's really very cool. Here in the states most model A mods involve V8s. It's wild to see a road racing engine in an old car like this. Looks like fine engineering.

  • This car has made it in few magazines its tricked out in every way its very well thought out nicely done I would be proud to own a car built like that..and I would ride with him hold on..

  • Yeah, but most people don't know they didn't have wooden ones, and this set looks period enough to fool passers by.

  • Great Car

    =)

  • anyone moaning sucks ass this rules!!!

  • kuradi kiire pill =D

  • all you need now is an awooga horn and its perfect, haha

  • meh anybody can put a big engine in a old car

  • @weirdstuffanimation7 yeah anyone can. you are so smart!

  • freestyla101 for the love of god spare the sarcasm
