  • @impreza25i07

was it much effort changing the headers?

  • any problem like during rain or snow with getting water on the engine?

  • @patryk275120 i have the same hood and nothing happens unless your intake gets wet

i think it also keeps the engine cooler

  • paintballjunkie93@ did you know that there is now a supercharger kit for the 2.5i? and it even comes with the AccessPORT software needed to reflash the stock ecu to support the extra fuel/air flow... ;)

  • @impreza25i07 please send me that info i want to mod my 07 2.5 i

  • if you want to see what my impreza looks like with the non-scoop hood VS the WRX/STi hood with scoop, let me know and i'll link you to my facebook acct with many pictures. (with the 2.5rs/2.5i hood, my car looked like a damn is300! with the hood scoop, it finally looked like it was a true SUBARU!)

  • how much did everything cost?

  • WHERE DID YOU GET THE HOOD SCOOP?!?!?!?!

  • @radkidmoe it's a Stock WRX/STi hood. replaced my hood, since i wanted a hood scoop, plus i couldn't refuse the price of the stock hood. lol.

  • @impreza25i07 i know im asking where you got it

  • @radkidmoe I found it off a local subaru forum...

  • @radkidmoe i got it off a local subaru forum...

  • Well the scoop lowers you engine temperature so It DOES have a function...if you think a car needs a Scoop JUST for intercooler you guys are wrong what can you tell me about celicas, mustangs, even SUVs have them so why can't a SUBARU IMPREZA have one ? -_- yes i own 2002 subaru impreza RS and yes i want a SCOOP

  • @paintballjunkie93 I don't think a top-mounted intercooler should be mandatory for a hood scoop, but I do think a car needs to earn it rather than just welding it onto anything. Celica doesn't deserve it, Mustang only does if it's a V8, & as much as I want a 2.5i, I don't think the Impreza earns it. That's just me though. I don't like to do mods that attribute specifically to making the car look more like a sports car when it still drives like an economy car (spoilers, scoops, body kits, etc)

  • @samburger077 Well RS stands for Rally sport..jk but I just want WRX hood it weights less and for me having a suby without the scoop its like not driving a subaru in the first place lol..but I'm going to do the wrx swap anyways xD

  • @paintballjunkie93 Haha true, true. Ideally, I'd like to have two Imprezas, both STi's. One made to look like a base model Impreza as a sleeper daily driver, & one rally blue with gold rims, rally wing, massive hood scoop, & the works as my "don't fuck with me" car. Basically I see the appeal in both looks, but on a day-to-day basis I prefer being faster than I look as opposed to looking faster than I am.

  • @samburger077 yeah i understand you.. I'm going with the wrx swap I don't want my car to be " only looks "

  • @paintballjunkie93 Just curious, any guesstimate of how much the swap is going to run you? I want a 2.5i because I want something with low miles that likely hasn't been driven like a rally car, but I really long for a WRX & have been considering buying a 2.5i & saving up for a turbo kit.

  • @samburger077 Well the swap with only wrx engine and ecu is around 1,500. Wrx engine and tranny its like 2,500. There is a turbo kit called AVO those guys are very good the turbo kit for the 02 RS is on 3k and thats not good for me besides the labor of the swap my friend is going to do it so no labor costs.

  • You have done so many things wrong to this car. Please check out some Subaru forums before you modify your car again. For starters the UEL headers are far less efficient then the stock EL headers that came with your car. A 3" exhaust is too much for the EJ253 engine. Your exhaust flow must be horrendous. The injen intake was a mistake as well. I own the same model car so I know what I am talking about.

  • @seyqKr Its just mods. He didnt do anything wrong. There is nothing "wrong" about making a normal 2.5i to look like a wrx and sound like one. If he wanted performance he would of went with a wrx or sti

  • @Kymco90 Mods are fine even cosmetic mods; EXCEPT when they decrease the performance of a car. I have a modded 2.5i that sounds great and performs better than stock. It's not WRX fast but it's faster than a Civic Si despite the slushbox tranny. I would own a STI if I didn't have to use my car for work. My company reimburses less for mileage if I use anything other than regular gas.

  • i have the same intake for my subaru and im getting no torqe when i push the pedal all the way at a dead stop ? then its alive ?

eny help on what it could be ?

  • @TheHighroller88 Look up the Williaty hybrid intake thread on NASIOC. Basically any intake that alters anything before the MAF on the EJ253 motor (the WRX and STI don't suffer from this problem) will cause severe MAF voltage spikes resulting in power loss at low RPMs. You can get better power by just removing the Torque box and fitting a pipe from the stock panel filter box back to the intake. Also the guy in this video will have a much slower car then the stock 2007 2.5i.

  • @seyqKr well found out what the problem whas hahahahhahahahahahha

FUCK AUTO ZONE FOR LIFE ; )

well i thot well ill check my spark plugs again just to see sheer whas the problem first spark plug had cracks all over it and 2 other ones were not sparking at all so to every one out there fuck auto zone im done every time i go there i get shit parts and bad service!! i put in 4 brand new subaru dealer spark plugs and bam the car is alive no more boging at a dead stop : )

  • I would think it's a WRX with the hood and that sound.

Although u2berz is some 15 year old jackass, I do have to admit this is a fuckin riced out car...come on..automatic 2.5i with 3" exhaust piping?

Well at least it sounds pretty good. I too own an 07 2.5i.

  • haha riced out faggot. get a real car and maybe girls might not be so repelled by your existence. jk, you're born failure, end your life man :)

  • @u2berz If you think you need a "real" car to actually get girls then you've got issues. Good day.

  • thanks you for posting this video i have the exact same car and was wondering what it would sound like with those mods, the car sounds so different stock i was a bit worried

  • good job wasting 600 dollars for 15 hp

and why the scoop? its not a wrx, nor does it make it one . its still a snail

  • @inflamessucks your the typical guy that talks smack and has a whopping 0 videos uploaded....

but anyway i think it sounds pretty good..

  • @80shairmetalman because i dont have a car worth posting videos about.. kinda like this kid

  • @inflamessucks because the stock inter cooler is still under the scoop.

  • @THEQUIETGUYBEHINDYOU not standing up for him, but its NOT a WRX or STI, its a 2.5i meaning there IS NO intercooler under that scoop, its simply for looks. Lear Subarus before you bash someone....this guy simply changed the headers, added an intake and an exhaust, so inflamessucks is actually right

  • @bsh009582 and thanks for letting that dumbass know that theirs no intercooler if theres no turbo. fucking idiots

  • Respond to this video... This sounds pretty sick, and who cares if he has a scoop on a N/A, cry some more everyone its what he likes. I want to do the same thing to mine but was thinking of BORLA replicas and a magnaflow catback. This does sound sweet though

  • @THEQUIETGUYBEHINDYOU its still beat.. i dont even remembe3r commenting on this video but im glad its bothering people that much

  • Comment removed

  • why the hood scoop ? if its not in wrx or an sti .. ?!?!

  • how much did everything cost you? im thinking of slapping everything you have on my 2.5

  • Hey i read the mods you did.. sounds very nice first of all! what engine mods did you do though to accomodate for the intake and exhaust? Like ecu and all that? or did a shop do it.

  • if the scoop isn't functional, isnt it just slowing the car down? i mean its catching all that air and its not intercooled right? I mean i would love to have one on my 2.5 even without an intercooler, just for looks, but i think it might be slowing the car down catching all that air, maybe

  • People are always hating on autos. I have this exact car (stock now but waiting to get a cold air intake and performance exhaust) and its very fast for an automatic. Subaru makes great cars, and even the automatic models are great. yes straight-drives are faster, but people make it such a big deal when it really isnt. BTW nice car!

  • @ImprezaCloud it's not just about the speed, it's everything about auto's which is inferior to a manual. Less power to the wheels, more expensive to buy, more expensive to maintain, uses more fuel, doesn't sound as good when it shifts, etc.

Whenever I hear a car with an exhaust which is automatic, I just cringe and think "Why? You're basically just advertising the fact it's auto"

  • @TheFartenator Yeah, i mean i definitely understand that they cost more, less power to wheels, maintaining, all that. but i guess since i have an automatic, (there where no straight drives around my area) i feel like i should still be able to customize and work on my car even though its automatic. I DO wish my car was straight-drive, but since its not and i dont want to sell it, i still want to fix it up some. maybe the exhaust wouldn't be a great idea, but i'd still like to get the intake.

  • @ImprezaCloud mate if that's what you want to do then don't let anyone's comments stop you.

But FWIW I think you should keep it stock as it will be worth more when you come to sell it and buy a manual version ;) Preferably a WRX.

  • @TheFartenator Yeah, i agree. i guess i'll have to settle for how fast it is for now. I was wondering though if i buy a cold air intake but keep my original parts, i could just take the intake with me and use it on a future WRX :) do you think that would work?

  • what brand headers did you get?

  • i have this same car without the scoop. its stock right now but im am looking to do exactly what you have done. would you have any suggestions or recommend anything?

  • I like the 2.5is, put your money into the suspension and you can have an awesome autox car. but I wouldve gotten the manual myself! plus hoodscoops on base imprezas are a bit ricey in my opinion. people see the scoop and think intercooler, its misleading.

  • how were you able to pipe the turboed headers onto your car without having a turbo?

  • idk why you would put a scoop and a wrx header, sint the header diamiter much larger than the stock?

    but still... sweet setup

  • not only is it not turbo but it's automatic? ugh

  • Just curious, does the normally aspirated 2.5liter even see any gains by going with a 3inch exhaust?

  • wow take off the damn scoop.

  • yea how did u get wrx headers on a 2.5i non turbo cuz i want UEL Headers.

  • how did u get a wrx header on a non turbo!

  • @goldsgym1244 - modify the jauhn lol.....all you need is a sawzall and a welder.
