I meant, what is it that makes this bass so much better (i.e. the parts, the craftsmanship, the playability, the tone,... all of the above)? what specifically did you find different? I'm looking at the SR755 5-String, and it looks like a damn fine bass. So, I just wanna know what's better about yours?

Fantastic looking bass! must play great, too! I find that the bottom end is a bit muddy, as I was required to bring up the treble boost in my speakers to clarify the tone of the bass. 4/5 stars!

Hello! yes, by the time i post my comment i was about to buy a new Bass. Now i have it! I bought an Ibanez Sr 3000 Prestige. The only diference is that I bought it used, so it's the model with Ibanez Pick Ups, not the Bartolini's. Do you know If there is too much difference between them? Because if there is, i will buy Bartolinis! Thanks, bye!

The SR prestige series are really amazing basses.You know, i've got another Ibanez basses with Ibanez pick ups & they 're very very good too (a very good Ergodyne 705 for example).Bartolini have very good pick ups too.

Awesome. I too play guitar. I have an Ibanez S540LTD from the early 90s that's AMAZING (original Wizard neck!!), an Ibanez RGT6EXFX that I play more than anything else, a Parker P38 that is great and a Jackson Kelly that I got for 20 bucks and fixed...lol. I'm trying to sell the Jackson...I have too many!

I LOVE Cort Curbows...I think the next bass I get will either be one of those or an Ibanez SR505.

1-This model is no longer available since 1998 but you can find one perhaps.

An anniversary model exist (the same with "golden keys" at 2000 euros.Or you can find the SR4005 or 5005 at 1700-2500 euros (very good basses !!!!!!)

2-I didn't use any amps for these videos (only a boss Gt10 b) direct in computer.

But for gigs i use an Huhes & Kettner basskick515 (& I love it!!!).

Ce modèle ne se fait plus depuis 1998 je crois.Par contre il y a un modèle "anniversaire" qui est sorti ds les 2000 euros :même modèle mais avec les mecaniques en doré (dommage d'ailleurs à mon gout,mais bon !).Va voir sur e site de thomann,ce sont en general les moins chers !

Sinon essaye les annonces d'occases et ebay ...avec un peu de chance !!!.

Sinon en modèle équivalent en neuf: la Ibanez sr 4005 et 5005 prestige.EXCELLENTES basses !!! (ds les 1600-2000 euros).

ps en 4 cordes: sr 3000, sr 4000 et 5000).

I add this 2 switches: one put the high eq like at "central position button" & the second put the mid frequencies at central position. In fact, it's for having like "4 different equalization presets" very fast.bye(excuse my bad english i'm french).
