there is a compound in cannabis call CBD. This compound has anti cancer anti psychotic effects etc. if you are just smoking your kush or skunk (sativa)you are not get much of CBD. Higher the THC lower the CBD. But indica like big bang have lower THC so there for higher CBD. so if you smoke OG Kush all day and A nice Indica at the end of the day might help balance and put you to sleep

We do know that alcohol abuse causes a very high risk for liver cancer though, and I wouldn't want to make that illegal again. Look at what happened with alcohol prohibition, where alcohol was forced into a black market economy headed by the mafia. That was the crack of its time. Way more people died from that than the conflicts from Cannabis prohibition. Usually these growers who get busted are the most cooperative people when being detained.

The ONDCP claims that pot smoke is harder on the lungs than cigarette smoke. They assumed the average pot smoker smokes (30) a pack and a half a day of joints the size of cigarettes all by himself.
