this is what defines between an "eventer" and a real eventer: grim determination. some "eventers" would have just given up and fallen to the ground. but she was like "no no, I've got this" and in deed she did. and what a good horse to just stand there then go 2 strides and jump the next fence.

I was standing beside the Olympic equestrian team at Millbrook horse trials in New York, and boy I was star struck. Who wouldn't be happy to be encircled by these amazing athletes. People that aren't fans of eventers and what they do have no idea how tough the sport is. Sure, the horse is doing a lot of the physical work. But what about the person that got them there,or the person that's on board controlling such a massive animal?Btw, Karen O'Connor won first place on Mandiba at the horse trials

Compare your 'dressage' and 'showjumping' to those who do it as a PROFFESION and tell me who does it better. I know MANY famous showjumpers who started out as hunters. Sure, this video is of an amazing recovery. I know I personally couldn't do this. But that doesn't make your discipline any better than anyone elses.

Compare your 'dressage' tests to those of the pros. They do MORE than just, "lead-changes, shoulder-ins and half passes". They have TALENT and SKILL. And please, show jumpers jump over just 5ft, and have more challening courses. In eventing, just because they can do some basic dressage, jump a couple fences, and do a x-country course doesn't make them 'superior'. Everyone works hard. It's stupid trying to put yourself above disciplines you obviously don't understand.
