Having had 10 , 911 turbos and owning a 600 bhp modified 1 year old turbo now I can tell you they are bullet proof unlike the Datsun. Its a real value for money supercar no doubt but has now got a bad record for breaking the transmission. The new 2010 GTR is slower and has no launch. I have a Turbo S June build hopefully due to me some point in June. I'm sure it will out perform the GTR -The ceramic brakes are also standard which are unreal. Piece of mind is a full warranty on the cars clutch.

If it had some warranty and would not break (as I drive my cars hard) I would honestly look at one. Have looked at changing recently and looked at LP560, and f430 spyder but could not take the loss of performance in 430 or £8k clutch replacement in the LP560 -have registered interest with McLaren for new car. You get exactly what you pay for with Jap Crap. 2010 GTR 0-60 time will be 4.0s to 60 and still fuck your clutch, and have no warranty. By the way what about the 997 Turbo S due out June? You did not answer my question. Where's the launch control gone? Where's the warranty on the clutch and drive transmission? They cannot guarantee their engineering like porsche. I have a 997 turbo 600bhp, (DMS) )and have never been a loser pal. I've had 5 turbos in a line nad they have withstood unreal punishment. I've also used the Launch control servel times and it still works perfectly the day i pursched the car. 0-60 times are exactly 3.5 had it 3.3 and the car works fine no problem at all. 2010 Porsche turbo 500 BHP, £79,000 more exspensive only does 16 MPG, (GTR is 24-5 MPG) may do 0 - 60 in 3.2 but still only performs 7:39 on Nurburgring wheres as the 1,749KG (base GTR) does 7:26.7...

Take the price difference between a GT-R and a ZR1 and invest that money in performance parts for the GT-R - I'll bet the GT-R will hold it's own then... Not to mention that the GT-R has 4 spacious seats, where the ZR1 is all engine and only 2 seats... It would be embarrassing for the ZR1 to lose to a much heavier 4 seater, but with the added performance parts, it's highly possible...
