  • nicely done.

  • good lookin jeep. i got a 4 cylinder too, just got 31's on it. what kind of mods did you have to make gear/axle wise for the 33's ?

  • bluw bluw bluw....

  • Four Banger!

  • Four banger!

  • Had to drive a 4 cyl jeep 130 miles on the interstate one time.... I hope i never have to do that again! I don't think they would hit 80 with nos.

  • @jcaled24 mine did 100 with a crushed tail pipe, i think your jeep just has problems

  • @MattRT91 Damn! That's waaaaay more than this one would do.And for what it's worth, it was my cousins jeep. She was too scared to drive it home after she bought it for some reason. Mine is a 4.0, and it wont do 100..... course it has a long arm lift and 35s..

  • @jcaled24 haha yeah I have a chip, intake, 2.5 inch exhaust (replaced the crushed one) and an ass ton of other power mods and I'm only riding on 30 inch tires (for now muahahaha)

  • @MattRT91 See I went for tires before the mods. Which one seemed to help the most? I really need to get some more power out of it, and don't have the cash for a hemi swap.

  • Do the intake and exhaust, so build an intake out of the universal spectre parts and get either a straight through muffler (magnaflow or dynomax), a glass pack, or one of the Flowmaster "super" mufflers with 2.5 inch pipe. That's what I have on mine. Also if your cat is clogged buy some cat cleaner or get an aftermarket one, they're like 80 bucks. DO NOT GET RID OF THE CAT, your life will suck, your rig will be illegal, smell bad, and you'll lose an ass-ton of performance.

  • @jcaled24 going down hill with a good tail wind i can hit 80 hahah

  • the little 4 cylinder that could.

  • what size tires are you running?

  • @whatifidied01 This one has 33s.

  • @gomofast did you lift it yourself?

  • @ChristianJames6759 Yes, I've done a couple of these lifts.

  • @gomofast how wide is his rims?

  • @ChristianJames6759 I don't remember for sure if he had 15x8 or 15x10... I think 15x10.

  • you gotta hit that shit hard man once your front tires hit the mud, floor it

  • how does that even work if he doesnt have a snorkel?

  • @TINGLEY99 The air intake is up high on the wrangler, right up underneath the hood. So as long as you don't submerge it, it's fine.

  • @gomofast i have a 98' jeep wrangler, is it stock to have a high air intake? or do i have to get that custom

  • @TINGLEY99 It's stock, open the hood and you'll see.

  • @gomofast ohh ok i see it. it looks sorta like the end of a trumpet right? haha

  • @TINGLEY99 yup, that's it

  • @gomofast legit. thanks bud

  • @gomofast a Buddie of mine had one of these and for some reason his friend turned the snorkel down, we went out wheelin hit the first puddle like 1.5 feet deep and sucked water in and threw a rod XD long story short make sure its aimed up.

  • i have those same rims.

  • powerful 4 cyl, i am about to get a 01 Cherokee. trail riding is great

  • Comment removed

  • Nice Jeep. I've got a 4cyl as well, mine has three and a quarter suspension spacers, 31s, air raid intake... Of course I have other stuff to tow, Jack, dig and winch.

  • I got a white Jeep too also with the 4 cylinder! And funny thing is I just got a 4" lift last week! Now I need lockers :D

  • Nice work dude

  • haha nice video dude :=

  • you gotta hit that throttle

  • have you ever broke your front or rear axle

  • @ramo1050 I've blown up my Dana 35 rear twice, but never on the trail. Once my foot just slipped off the clutch when leaving a stoplight, and that was it. Now I'm real careful.

  • @gomofast what? foot slipped off the clutch? what at 5000 rpm with 38's and 5.36s? bullshit.

  • @damnedboner No, probably around 2000 rpm, 35s and4.56. Not bullshit.

  • i never knew the 4 cylinder jeeps had soo much power! and they only have like 120 to 130 horses! its crazy...amazing jeep bro

  • you don't need that much power for off-roading, You can get the job done in first gear haha

  • @prettysheddy thats what most of the older jeeps were 4 cylinders. the reason there 4 is because they were just ment for getting from place to place. buy hey a straight i6 will never hurt

  • @prettysheddy

the power and torque come from the transfer case. Essentially the Tcase is a torque multipleier. If the enging has 100FT/lbs of torque you multiply that by the 2.72 in the tcase...

now you 272 foot/lbs of torque at a very low RPM. and that torque is what you need MOST of the time on the trail.

  • @prettysheddy actually like 180 horses, but they are very powerful

  • @prettysheddy they are jeeps still, but they belong in the city, for off road get the 6 cylinder the beast 4.0

  • @prettysheddy low gearing does it man

  • @prettysheddy hell yeah man my 4 banger goes like a son of a bitch off road! mine i literally identical to this one but mine has half doors and i wheel at Rausch Creek also!

  • love how people watch vids just to leave dumb comments every one always hates on people if you got a 4 inch lift they say you need 6 if you gotta 6 inch they say you need 8 its stupid worst part is most of dont have vids there self and if they do its somthing they copped of a tv show lol great vid i buying a jeep in a couple weeks i want a 4cyl for gas purposes and only a 3 or 4 inch lift a 33`s

  • @mhkmjh 4cyl gets terrible gas mileage though. Its too much vehicle for a 4 cyl. Ive had two jeep wrangler tj's with 4 cyl and both got bad gas mileage. The first had stock everything and got around 14 mpg city and the new one i have get 10-12 because it has a 3 inch body lift and 33" all terrain tires.

  • @matt757comedy iif you put a better gear ratio in it its not bad

  • "I Just can't do it!! I need more power!!!"

    *in best Scottish accent.*

  • what the hell are you talking about? this jeep doesn't even have reservoir shocks.

  • @Gsquad92 wtf are you talkin bout?! just shut up and go back to plyin with ur legos

  • it's a jeep not a boat buddy quit hatin

  • 15 in tires? no way. Unless you have a big lift to keep you and your engine out of the mud. lol. 4 in rides great. nice jeep dude

  • Nice jeep mann, looks awesome ! :-D

  • nice jeep bro, ... i'm all into bushrides. haha im from minersville. not too far away from tremont. very nice tho.

  • how does that 4 inch lift ride on the street?

  • It rides just fine. Soft shocks do the trick.

  • how much mud gets trown inside wit the top off?

  • depends on how much you use the stupid pedal

  • Hey do you need a snorkel for this and is this black or blue trail also nice driving and nice jeep

  • well, I don't have a snorkel, but it's probably a good idea for this mud pit. I don't remember which color this was marked as.

  • could you get through there with 15 inch tires?

  • sweet jeep

  • nice

  • bad driver

  • nice bro. i hope yall had tranny vent extensions! other than that looks like total fun!

  • I wish I had thought of that at the time (or at least thought to change the tranny fluid right after). Eventually, when I did change my fluid, it came out looking much like that muddy water... oops. I'm paying for it now... the tranny is on it's way out.

  • its all good bro! live and learn. i learned the same way lol. while its out just build an extinsion at the top vent and run it up to the firewall. keep wheelin it bro!

  • Thanks for the tip!

  • what does a tranny vent do?

  • yeah AMC Jeeps were built with those. Tranny and diffs had breathers up as high as the drivers seat. They come in very handy

  • 4 popper gettin it done!

  • my brother and my best friend both have the 4 bangger and they have no problem doing everything a 6 can. I hane video's of them on my page.

  • its all about the gearing.

  • I have a 4cyl too! Did he do an axle swap to use those beefy tires and rear locker?

  • Nope, he has the stock Dana 35 rear axle, with a Detroit Truetrac. The Truetrac is a gear-driven limited slip, not a true locker. I wouldn't put a full locker in a Dana 35 with big tires. I have a very similar set-up on my Jeep. And even so, we need to be careful not to break the axles. It's all about finesse.

  • Its nice to see someone who actually knows how to drive.

  • Yeah, that's my buddy Dave. He does a good job, even though it's only a 4-banger.

  • looks like 4 inch lift was just enough haha very nice
