  • Will people just stop fighting about HRH the Queen and about witch country is better going by history there would be no usa if not for the British empire who were fighting the French at the same time as the revolutionists in the what is now called the u.s.a The Queen is head of all the Commonwealth people are in awe of her for who she is at what she commands blessings of love and light

  • Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith

    Or

    Elizabeth II D.G. Reg. F.D.

    (Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensor)

  • How many frocks did she take with her on that trip? I'm guessing her British Airways baggage allowance was more generous than most folks!

  • Harry for King ... God Bless King Harry ... The Crown took your heart and soul .

Get it back , the people are with YOU .

    God Bless Diana ,

King Harry the soldier , knows the working mans heart . like your mother said . " NWO . no more killing or CULLING of the innocent .

  • It's nice to know that there are people out there who appreciate what the brave men and women serving in our (US) and our allies armies! Unlike some stupid movies and so-called children's shows that go out of their way to make them look like cold-blooded killers or inept fools! It's a shame more parents aren't paying closer attention to what their children and teenagers are watching so they discuss some of the contents of various shows!

  • Her smiles make me think that she was surprised about how friendly everyone was. I loved the pic of the little girl handing her a flower.

  • I just don't understand the concept and the point of kings and queens in the 21st century. Why do I or any other American as taxpayers have to foot the bill to have a state visit for these two old people who came over from a little country on the other side of the ocean? Just look at the state visit for India this past November. It was a disaster. I think that the taxpayers money would have been better spent by investing in ourselves instead of pandering to the foreigners.

  • @Kildruf79 British Tax Payer

  • I was at the Williamsburg Inn when she arrived... she stayed for one night, but had 26 hat boxes.

  • The Queen will always congratulate the miltary of a country that stands with us. In the US she met the WW11 vets personally because this is dear to her heart. She met with the troops who had been to Afghan because she had a grandson out there fighting. The royal family always fill there roles in the armed forces. You ask any soilder who they are fighting for and they will say Queen & country. US dos'nt have theroyal history we have. Thhe Queen is regal & British.

  • @smp236520

"US dos'nt have theroyal history we have. "

Funny how you make it sound like a bad thing

  • @smp236520 US does not have the royal history but has won more wars than uk all around.

  • This is such a nice video. Great song too!!

  • agreed!

  • America don't you ever forget 'George Washington was a Terrorist' as per British North American Imperialists.

  • WHAT is WITH the OCCASIONAL use of ALL CAPS?

  • LOL!!

  • well everyone whos fighting about england and so on she is actually the Queen of Canada when she is on this continent as canada is the nearest country to her!!!!

  • I admire THE QUEEN ELIZABETH II for "SUCH HER ABILITY" that SHE NEVER INFORMED PEOPLE on THE GLOBE about DESIGNERS & DRESSMAKERS who DRESSED / DRESS HER MAJESTY. Certainly from MY CHILDHOOD I have ADMIRED SPECIALLY HATS of THE QUEEN so it means that HER MAJESTY DESIGNERS of HATS were / are ALSO VERY GOOD!

  • We love queen, I respect America. But I do not love its main holiday " Day of Independence ". From whom and from what? From whom you were exempted?

  • From England

  • don't forget most of the colonist were English Colonist. So basically it was the English fighting the English.

  • She has such lovely taste in hats.

  • I think its great that the United States and Britain can be firend. : ]

  • Im a bit fed up with all the same fights between Americans and English, we are both great nations, and both have they're strengths and weakneses the sooner we all realise that the better, there are things about england people dont know unless you live here, like how really big our militry really is, and how many different branches it has. Long live the queen and our great alliance!

  • Are they American people holding the British flag?

  • yeah

  • Yes because they know the motherland

  • The people in the video are waving English flags which are different from the Union flat (the Union Jack).

  • The USA and the UK are both incredible nations and as a Briton I can say that we have no greater friend than the United States of America.

Thanks for being great to our Queen.

  • Our pleasure. Fond greetings from Virginia.

  • right back at you...brothers forever!

  • Let US not speak ill of mama England. Only the English speaking world stands up for freedom; that includes Canada, Australia, and NZ. We have the Magna Carta and our Declaration & Constitution w/ Bill Of Rights. Who else has been so free, so inspired?

Americans are not foreigners in GB, Canada, Australia, etc. They are not foreigners here, and why is it so? Blood, heritages, common law, and a miriad of reasons, but we are family. WWII laid it all out.

  • To say that only the English-speaking world stands for freedom is complete BS!

  • althogh agreeably the commonwealth in far from the empire it used to be, i do not agree that britian is becoming one of the most politically iscolated contries in the world, ok so its not the super power it used to be. its still a very rich and powerfull country. And the queen is super cool

  • phillip what a geeza.

  • Did you see the jewelry on that woman? Wow! Some kinda rocks she's got there!

  • I heard once this republican (someone who wants Britain to be a Republic, not the political party) who said that the Queen came up to him and his friends at a dinner party once, but instead of taking the opportunity to voice his opinions, he just stood there grinning sheepishly, such was the awe she inspired by her presence.

That's impressive for an 80 year old lady.

  • I've heard stories like that as well. They always make me smile! ^_^

  • Just because we want a republic, doesn't mean we don't respect the Queen, if i met her i would be polite and i certainly wouldn't have a debate in an inappropriate place. You royalists have very strange view of the world!

  • Change the National Anthem for London 2012. God Save the People, not just the queen.

  • Come on be friendly. Remember if our two countries start a war, Europe would be drawn and then the Commonwealth. If they had not answered the Queens call to arms already. After all it's called "commonwealth" but the Queen still has Governors representing her wishes. Empire with a different name. We are all together Empire just not imperialist. We got what we want and don't want anymore, we won......again.

  • You were lucky Her Majesty visited you.

  • God Save the Queen

  • This isn't a US State Visit, it's a British State Visit because the Queen and Prince Philip VISITED the United States. When George W & Laura Bush visited the UK some years ago - that was a US State visit.

  • The title is meant to imply that it's the Queen's visit to the US...although I can see how you can read it as the opposite! :) "US State Visit" made for a better title then "State Visit to the US" imho.

  • god save the queen

  • God Save The Queen!

  • God, if you look in some of these photos, you can see teenagers at these public events just standing around stupidly. At least stand up straight you stupid twits, it's the queen of England!

  • Teens are usually pretty good at being bored and unimpressed. :D

  • @unterland

When will Americans ever get it right? She not "The Queen of England" , she is the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain (which comprises England, Scotland and Wales) and Northern Ireland. Please get your facts right...it may seem a trivial matter to you but it pisses off millions of Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish people to hear our monarch continually referred to (and I hate to say it, but its true - usually by US citizens) as the Queen of England.

  • @Manfromelpaso Nearly right. She's the Queen of the Commonwealth!

    :)

  • @Manfromelpaso

Get it right too, she is the Queen of Great Britain and the Commonwealth....

  • @Manfromelpaso I understand what you're saying, but technically she is the Queen of England.

And, with your statement, you just slighted millions of people in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea, The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, The Solomon Islands, and Tuvalu. ;-)

  • Very nice video. I hope she enjoyed her visit to Churchill Downs.

  • The USA is bigger (in more then one sense i guess) and as such its no wonder its miliary and economic influence is greater than Britain which is a third of the size in terms of population and a 10th in terms of land mass, but, Britain exerts a huge amount of economic and political power despite only having such a small group of islands, if Britain had 300 million people instead of 60 million, we could compete on a global scale

  • Its not a question of size or population the reason why Britain has been successful through the ages, is because of the way us Brits we do thing, in other word, not acting in haste, good education, planning, hard working and resourceful. Other countries have adopted our system, our language, and our political structure. After the ancient Greeks we introduce modern democracy. Our Monarchy is living history which brings millions of pounds sterling in tourism.

  • queen of great britain ,australasia, canada head of the commonwealth defender of the faith ,bah i dont know how many other post.she still rules the world

  • Amen!

  • an elegant woman

  • VIVE LA MONARCHIE !

    riboud duverne

  • On account of Britain to American power balance U.S. has lost its status of superpower about 15 years ago. It may still be more powerful than Britain military but economically no, that is not to mention Britain is far more prestigious. In general European Countries nowadays have a far greater influence on the world and their word matters more. On account of the queen I love how she can be viewed as a nice simple lady yet still hold herself truly royally.

God bless US, UK, may He save the Queen!

  • good lord what silliness, the we are better blah blah blah....It's a fact that te US is the more powerful i mean that much is obvious!

But they are our ally because of historical, cultural and economic reasons.

Also American policy is more of economic and cultural imperalism as opposed to the UKs colonial style. Because the colonial era is over. and we should celebrate the freedom we have from WW2 rather than bicker over who won it. It was a mix of factors, not one country or military.

  • and yet America has military Bases in most countries around the world in which it has ever fought, including in Britain, im still not sure why American armed forced are still ond duty in Britain, i could understand diplomats and military represeantatives on account of the war in Iraq but not the military presence

  • I love this woman!

  • The US was asked by Britain to join in WWII a number of times. King George VI (the first British king to visit America) appealed to President Roosevelt himself, as did Winston Churchill. America only joined the war after it's base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was bombed by the Japanese who then declared war on the US.

  • Who would have won the war had America joined in immediately or never does not especially matter. What matters is that millions of young men died for a cause far greater then any war American and Britain have been involved in since and I for one am proud of them all.

  • And lets not forget that it was not only Britain and America who fought together as allies. The Commonwealth Countries along with Russia, China, Portugal...I'm forgetting some!...all fought on the same side during WWII.

  • here here!!

  • Australia has a big part of the commonwealth,

  • Must be awful being the Queen. All those parties, all those banquets, and never does she get the chance to get truly wasted.

  • lol

  • Wellcome to Turkey Queen Elizabeth.

  • Love the picture of President Bush winking at the Queen.

  • i wish she came to canada

  • Our PMs and Prez's come and go but the Queen continues to stand the needed watch for all of us in Britain, the Commonwealth and America.

This Yank is proud to add his own 'God Save the Queen' to the chorus.

  • Thank you USA for welcoming our Queen to your great nation. We love you all. A very proud Brit

  • She seems like a very nice women. She represents you Brits well.

  • Pathetic to bring up 1812 as a statement of fact about the world today, you guys. Get with the programme and read todays news! =)

  • teamgop - "The United States is THE most powerful empire in the world, that's not biased, just fact"

america has never had an empire, and never will. God save the queen.....

  • Well said. Empires were the properties of the old countries. Sure, you may have bought companies everywhere- but you never carved out huge territories through conquest... Like the Brits/French/Hungarians/Spanish/Porto/Dutch

  • "America has never had an empire." Its "protectorates" are part of its physical empire. Half the world's nations are part of the trade empire of the US. In this it took its lead from Britain's empire in Africa. There it left the governments of its subject countries in place & told them what to do.

  • So What! Did you ever think that imperialism is a good thing?

  • USA has never had imperial ambitions like the UK. We do not conquer land. The USA only has a handful of overseas territorial possessions-- Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Midway Island, and the US Virgin Islands. Culturally, I would definitely say that the USA has a hegemony and extreme influence over the world. The economic balance of power is tipping towards a corrupt China now while the USA's military capability to this day remains unmatched by any other country. No empire for USA.

  • iraq and afghanistan ring a bell??

  • US does not conquer land? Hello! What about the Indians?

  • The USA has never had or wanted an empire by conquering land. Unlike the UK that has several overseas territorial possessions, the USA only has a handful-- Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Midway, Micronesia, and American Samoa. Culturally, yes the USA most definitely has a hegemonic hold and tremendous influence over the world. Economically, power is sadly tipping towards China day by day. Militarily, the USA is unmatched and superior in firepower. To say the USA is an empire is outlandish

  • The UK has 14 overseas territories, which all control their own immigration laws and have the ability to claim independence: Anguilla Bermuda British Antarctic Territory British Indian Ocean Territory British Virgin Islands Cayman Islands Falkland Islands and Dependencies (South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands) Gibraltar Montserrat Pitcairn Island St Helena and Dependencies (Ascension and Tristan da Cunha Islands) Turks and Caicos Islands
  • well in fairness. ENGLAND has been around a hell of alot longer than you. USA has never had an empire because its so new.

And for the record your army is not unmached as you and alot of other americans seem to belive. you aint the only ones with big missles that go boom

  • THe Queen is not an HRH...she is HRM.

  • I'm happy that HRH has changed from a cold, unfeeling woman, who merely patted her little boy on the head after being away from him for months; from refusing to permit Princess Diana to go to London to be there for her friend dying of AIDS (Diana drove herself there anyway); to a more open and personable monarch. It seems that it was Diana's influence that changed the cold, outward appears of HRH to a more human and caring monarch. God Bless Princess Diana and Long Live the Queen.

  • It's HM not HRH. Americans!

  • England without a queen , not is england

  • I cannot believe that the President winked at The Queen. This man has no manners or even remotely knows how to behave in front of a person os such high stature and regal majesty. How an uncouth man like George Bush has managed to enact any type of diplomacy on the red carpet without making a fool of himself is beyond me.

  • What a lady!

May she and her family live on forever.

  • haha:P i live in canadareally though if i saw her walking down the street i wouldnt know who she was:P

  • sounds like you need to read the newspapers and watch the news a bit more lol.

  • Its all about Great Britain. I think the British are way more powerful than th United States, and I am an American my self

  • Yea, that is what everybody thought in 1776

  • Hello there.

You seem to be an un-biased American-a rare thing in my limited experience of your countrymen.

I myself am from Great Britain and also believe that Great Britain has more power than the United States Of America, due to her location, military, history etc . . .

I wonder; why do you believe this to be so?

    Regards,

    -Ian III

  • More powerful? Really? Never heard that one before. Even though America has a larger military and has an economy of more than $14 trillion, I had no clue someone could possibly say England is more powerful.

I believe we defeated England in the Revolutionary War as well as the War of 1812, so you have no room to talk my friend. The United States is THE most powerful empire in the world, that's not biased, just fact.

    -Preston

  • Hi, The war of 1812 remains controversial, When the British fought back the US from invading Canada they did it in 2 ways, 1st was by splitting up the US forces by attacking towns in Florida so that the US would concentrate in sending troops south.

  • The 2nd was then pushing back US troops from South Canada all the way back to Boston where The British torched and city as a punishment for trying to invade Canada. Now here is where we argue who won the battle of 1812. The British could of stayed in the US and took it back but didnt because it was more valuble to leave the US alone in terms of trade. The British returned to Canada and the Carribean and left the US alone and that was seen by the US as defeat but really it wasn't.

  • Hope Ive cleared up the whole 1812 war for you. The US is the most powerful country in the world at present but will never have an empire like the British did & will not last as a super power for much long due to economic and military pressures that the US is in.

  • Spot on Sammyraa. And I'm pretty sure something happened to the White House did it not? Anyone smell burning ;)

And besides, you fought a guerilla war during the war of Independence. Very difficult wars to win for the visiting army- as you have demonstrated in Vietnam, Afganistan and Iraq... If we had fought you on neutral ground, in battle formations, with 100% our troops (not county militia/loyalist forces) I think all Yanks know who would have won!

Hats off though, you are the richest.

  • You didn't win the War of 1812 my friend, not even your own American Historians claim that! See Donald Hickory's related work - I think that is his name. None of your war aims were achieved. Good book.

Glad you said 'empire' and not me :)

  • Hardly what I would call an empire. You're quickly turning into one of the most isolated countries in the world politically.

  • other then the fact that we have military bases in over i believe 130 countries...and that doesnt include USA ships in every part on the ocean all over the world...

and another fact that every country in the world buys our merchandise...and that includes the fact that Europe spent $80 billion at Mcdonalds in 07' thats just one expample....but yes i guess u can say we are the most isolated country politically...

  • HAHA pwned

  • This woman is amazing and if you like the Queen. You should go to 324wilson's account. His channel really rocks.

    GOD SAVE THIS BEAUTIFUL LADY(Queen)!!!

  • Queen Elizabeth II is an inspiration to all supporters of the freedom-loving, tolerant, and courageous British and American people and civilized way of life.

  • That's right my friend!

  • She's unelected. Monarchs are a throwback to feudalism.

  • True but you see she has a crown and people love that sh*t!

  • Yep, I feel like a serf - I'm so oppressed it's untrue. Damn that feudalism!

Actually, the reason the queen is still going strong after more than 50 years is because she's damn popular and she's represented her country with dignity and honour all that time - we don't need to elect the old girl every few years because the vast majority are happy with the job she's doing anyway. I can assure you that if we didn't want her we'd soon get rid of her.

  • Really?

  • daniel987878 - yep, if you were actually English you might know more about it lol.

  • the U.S. helped "Britland" in the Malvinas and of course WWII u need the US more than it will ever need Britland....

  • The US helped the Brits in the Falkland war because Britain forced the US. Initially the US tried to stop the UK going to war with Argentina but when Britain threatened to end US leases of several military bases on british owned islands they backed down and started offering help. America needs those offshore bases for strategic purposes, the British don't need US support for their own battles as they are capable of waging wars on their own.

  • Excuse me! I think the British more than required American help in WWI, and absolutely during WWII. If not for American help in WWII, there would be no UK today. It would be a province of the Nazi Empire. US money, military personnel, equipment and fortitude saved Britain, and don't you ever forget it (like the French conveniently have). I respect Britain, but also demand they respect our hard earned position in this world.

  • Not entirely true actually, it's been proven that we could of defended Britian if Germany invaded. Also, with regards to US money saved Britian - America came out of the war eight times wealthier; all at Britians exspense. Nonetheless, you played a big part in ending the war sooner!

  • Excuse me, but the Battle of Britain was fought and won with next to no help from the idle, isolationist USA, which wasn't even in WWII yet. Per capita, Canada's war effort was ten times that of the USA until D-Day in 1944 (we took Juno Beach and then liberated Holland and quite a bit of numerous other countries (Italy, Belgium, DenmarK etc). The USA also never showed up for WWI until it was almost over. The USA's help shortened that war, but didn't win it.

  • You (US administration) waited on the sidelines to see what would happen. Once it was clear where the final victory lay you joined the wining team, all of Frances money all of Britains money and technology, and then you joined the wining team. The reason your foreign policy has failed is due to your achieving top table status by default. Check your facts please. Your statement that you demand respect shows that you have no clear understanding of respect or that it has to be earned.

  • To be honest the USA didn't have a choice, Germany were by far the most technologically advanced nation in the world and may well have been attacking US soil if all had gone to plan. Personally im eternally grateful the Americans sacrificed so many good men but lets not fool ourselves into thinking it was to help us Brits out, if that were the case they would've joined earlier. The US only got involved for fear of a german nuclear weapon and for the obvious monetary gains.

  • Another thing you might want to take note: there were so many Prussians (Germans)in pre-colonial America, that German could've conceivably become the dominant language in America. Food for thought, fellow YouTubers. Chow down!

  • True but after ww1 the mentality of the American people was "why should we fight another European war and be suckered into it early like the Canadians and Australians were"? Because we were an independent nation we fought the war upon our chossing... Which was on the date of 12-07-41. Then thats when we whooped ass and never looked back

  • i think you seriouslly underestimate the reasoning behind our invasion. Sure, We were relieved from a depression, but it also cost us very much, including many American lives, far more than the Brits lost I might add.

  • The US didn't gain anything monetarily from WWII you ass. On the contrary the gdp shrunk and the national debt ballooned. The USA stayed out of WWII because Roosevelt was determined to prolong America's involvement as to save as many of his citizens lives as possible he was an intelligent President. America had no desire to enter into another European disaster.

  • If only you did use us Brits more- you could hire our spokespeople for a start. Let's just say, clangers such as 'A Crusade against Terror' and 'We are hoping to decapitate the enemy stronghold' would not crop up on CNN. We taught you a lot of what you know, as you have taught us much. Please show some respect!

  • I loved the snapshot of the queen walking by the word "Freedom" at the WWII memorial. Thanks be both our countries remained free despite those dark Nazi days. The queen will always be welcome in the USA!

  • as a member of the commonwealth i don't know why the Queen wastes her time going to the U.S. They aren't even part of the commonwealth let them fight thier own wars and realize how much they do need the U.K. then you'd be wishing you didn't say anything bad about them!!!!

  • We did fight a war,,WWII. After you and Stalin knocked the heck out of our enemy. But not quite enough. Pretty smart.

  • I admire royalty on earth and knowing that I too an spiritual Heir to the spiritual Kingdom of Heaven.

  • Our Queen, like all of our Royal Family, does a huge amount to highlight various plights in the United Kingdom and the rest of the world and she also regularly promotes various British businesses when on her tours.

She and her family (especially her son Andrew, who fought in the Falklands' War) are good ambassadors for our nation.

Also, the fact that our Royal Family costs us 61 pence each per year does not concern me when you consider what the Royal Family does for tourism.

  • As a Para,,,God bless your Queen.

  • Erm - alittle confused, You don't have Para's in the U.S?

    Do you mean AIRBORN!?!

  • Sorry for confusion. Was talking to British Para LTC. Hope you are not a leg. I was Airborne with 3/505 82nd and 3/187 101st.

  • Oh right!

    Hardcore Bunch! (Airborn)

I'm guesing you've seen alot in you,er time!

  • Nope,,Can not recall a thing.

  • Right...So you're 63 year's old and you havn't seen much in you're time!

    Impresive ..Chap!

  • i'd pay money to see the queen in jeans dancing to rock and roll.

  • :D:D:D

  • Why do People keep going on about the royals being Germans? The English people themselves are mostly of Germanic origin. Hence the name of out race 'Anglo Saxon'

  • I always enjoy seeing the Queen and reading about her

  • i love the queen. she is my hero!

  • Your text is a bit confusing. Nowhere does the U.S. Constitution mention democracy. The founders did not care for mob rule. The only vote that the 'people' had was for the House of Reps. Senators were appointed by State Govenors. The 'people' still do not vote for the president.

  • True. Too bad that we seem to have gone from polity to democracy (or maybe oligarchy) in the Aristotilean point of view.

  • Perhaps you would be so kind as to notice the change in name from German to English. I believe in 1910's.

  • The reason Americans admire the British monarchy so much is because we know what it's like to be ruled by politicians. Democracy: a form of government by which those who have the power are the ones who really, really WANT to have the power--and are ruthless, rich, and tricksy enough to get it. Sounds like a great idea to to me!

  • She will live on your tax dollars.u willing to do that? definitely not me. The britts can keep her for themselves. Like the post below, that family was a drug cartel that robbered the world by murdering. The royals are just some Hollywood characters and nothing more.

  • You have the audacity to compare the freaks in Hollywood, to the Queen? Come on! I know you can be more objective than that. Do I detect a hint of jealousy... or a longing for money power and respect... that, i might add, will never come to you? Its ok... Its ok... you wrote from the heart and made yourself transparent.

  • Jealous? Do I sound like one? Your money=power=respect is not uncommon, so it will waste of time to change that perception.I'm only interested in our current status, striking similar to UK before it turned into an ex-superpower:military over the world, losing competitiveness(China), huge debt, foolish public only listen to media, abusive governement. How long will it take to make us like UK, a country made Darwin,Shakespear but nothing since WWII.

  • Nothing since the war? Oi! That's a little nasty... What about S.Hawking, our music and our extensive work on DNA research? We're still kicking about... Honest!

  • I'll tell you what: once the American people start electing men like Ron Paul, who wants power only to protect the people from it, I'll accept that our system works. But as long as they're throwing up people like Bush and Clinton and Pelosi and Giuliani, I say give me a monarch who was chosen by genetic chance and might NOT be an ambitious power-hungry cretin.

  • Perhaps term limits might restore some aspects of the Constitution. How about one term for Pres-6 years. And one term for the damn Senators and Reps.

  • You're so right. The current political situation is not encouraging. I just recently knew of Ron Paul. Shame on me. He's from my state. I'll vote for him when time comes. The rest are stinking politicians, who are only interested in themselve. They don't really care what this country will be like in the next 20 years.

  • well said old boy.

  • ok, lets never invite another US president and lavish him/her ever again, sound fair?

  • Britain is ruled by polititions and has been for a very long time.

  • yes quite right, but the Queen has the last say, and don't forget, as an ex Para myself the armed forces of Great Britain swear alligence to Queen and Country not to the govenment, who do you think we would back in a revolution, the Government?, dream on.

  • As another ex Para ( 82nd and 101st ), I took an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. My commission as an Officer is from the President. Perhaps as my friend, a Sandhurst graduate said, we are different.

  • Well, old boy, the original six states, New England being one of them, are entitled to join the British Commonwealth and they can elect our beloved Queen to be their Monarch, after all she is Queen of your bigger naibour Canada, never mind Australia and New Zealand and 50 other countries around the world have Her as their Queen, so New England, Virgina and the four others why don;t you join the most prestigious and exclusive club in the world??

  • LONG live the QUEEN,

she is very powerful not only is she the commander is chief of all british forces she is the head of state for 14 other countries with full LEGAL executive powers and royal preogerative, she is more powerful then u can give her credit for and shes 82

    RULE BRITANNIA

  • Long live the Queen!

  • Nice Video

    GOD SAVE OUR GRACIOUS QUEEN

    LONG LIVE OUR NOBLE QUEEN

LONG MAY SHE RULE OVER US MANY YEARS TO COME

    GOD BLESS HER!!!

  • U gotta love this lady!!!

  • okay the turth the queen cannot make or pass laws or other things but she have to sign off on all these things if not whatever law or other thing the pal.wants to inforce they can't without her signing it so in other words she stills have power and then some.

  • As an American, I do understand the need of the population to look 'up' for 'something'. I do realize that your former Kings were brutal men. Tribal leaders perhaps.

  • Just look up yourself. That's what democracy is all about.

  • You are quite right, but she has always been a lady. Anymore, I am not sure about democracy,,witness those who wish to be the next president.

  • That's because people dont educate themselves anymore but only listen to a small group of people who hold political power. If we admire Uk that much, we soon will be just like them, another ex-superpower.

  • Once again, your point is taken. The admiration of the UK is not the point. The point is what an individuals feel. As for myself, I have a Commission from the President. To preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. Our Congress has destroyed that. I will be happy to die with only honor.

  • totally agree with you.

  • People should remember that the Office of President holds all executive power in USA.

The Royals lost all executive power during the British civil war with Oliver Cromwell-the execution of Charles I in January 1649.

The queen is a figure head of state-its easy to idealize and love somebody that never offends anybody.

You won't ever get mad at her for not spending enough money on education or starting a war.

If she started actually running the government it would be another matter totally.

  • The "Royals" didn't lose their executive power. Her Majesty still holds all of the power, but, by convention, does not exercise it.

  • By convention my ass-if she doesn't give the royal ascent and sign legislation it still becomes law! You are talking constitutional semantics-in both reality and practice she has no power. Its a charade-her constitutional position on paper. Yes, she "invites" a new PM to "form" a new government-but what if she didn't? The idea she has all the power and just chooses not to exercise it is just preposterous-but you have to allow the British their grand illusions or they get funny in the head.

  • you say the british grand illusion???

but british people think she has little power.

so u clearly havnt got a clue.

and the truth is the queen does have all the power still and is the worlds most powerfull head of state.

the PMs have to meeting with the queen twice a week [and no one is ever aloud to witness or discuss about]

  • she is head of masons.

and has more job roles than any other leader.

including head of the commonwealth, commander-in- chief of the armed forces [uk/canada/australia/s,africa/jamaica etc]

and 8 other jobs. queen of 16 countries!

she does more than people think and thats the best way to do it.

the british way -under there noses [usa??]
