  • Some time it is...

  • If this movie reached as many people as Michael Bay's take on Transformers, the world would be a better place.

I don't agree with "AColonDashSix" at all (I mean no disrespect!). But sometimes, in order to make life better you have to take life. It may be totally ugly ass truth...but it is just that; truth.

We ARE nature as much as everything else is. Nature destroys so there can be better chance for life to flourish. It is the way of things. And idiot ways of living must die or we all will imo

  • sometimes it is

  • Ghost Dog has much to learn.

Wasting the huntsmen only makes more waste.

A tree cannot grow larger than its roots allow.

As with the bottom as with the top.

  • I used to be a bear killer, until I took a bullet in the knee.

  • @tranquil87 LMKO!

  • i wanna see Leon vs Ghost dog, who would win?!

  • Listen to my bad-ass story. Two black men on side of rode retrieving an eagle they shot out of a tree. White guy pulls over and inquires disapprovingly. One of the black guys gets his gun and tells white guy he needs to drive on. As white guy is entering car he whirls around with pistol and murders both black men in cold blood. Then he says, "You know in ancient cultures, eagles were considered equal with men." Doesn't quite have the same ring does it?

  • @greatsea Sure it does....assholes come in every shade....and if a man pulls a gun, he's an agressor, which means he's become a fucking target. Period.

  • @rastablues1 That's why Katana, Wakizashi and Shuriken are better tools to use ;D

  • @greatsea Kinda like saying parallel lines always meet in the same direction in between or entwine .

  • @greatsea Yeah...it does.

  • 1:36

    BADASS MOTHUR RIGHT THERE!

  • One of the best scenes of all times

  • @MrDoDilicious

    true that bro

  • gooood movie!!!!!

  • Cant find my previous comment. It was quite interesting

  • This is a brilliant scene . Im a big black fucker myself .

  • I just never tire of watching this scene.

  • i hate animal killers man that's a useless sport hunt non living targets witch move could be same cool -.-

  • Жмот ублюдасовский.

  • @spanoischillin

are you proud of yourself ?

    Than keep it for yourself

  • @spanoischillin :O awesomeness

  • its also about "old ways". Things are always changing so people who follow the old ways may not fit in the new world, like the Samurai, like the mobsters in the movie, but that doesn't mean that there is no wisdom in those ways.

  • @spanoischillin Continue, my friend. And never give up! As our Lord Buddha said "Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without spiritual life".

  • ignorance breeds death. thats what I got from this scene

  • You have to ask yourself: had the redneck not drawn down on him, would he have wasted them? I think not.

  • @spanoischillin

jea ... but be sure its the right thing for ya

  • God exists in the nothingness.

  • I prefer the scene with Malkovich and hunters in "on the line of fire"

  • Good shot, man!

  • @spanoischillin try The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. i believe it will be helpful

  • if i were him i'll do the same

  • The way is not difficult to find, just that it usually takes many wanderers a long time to realise they are already on the path, yet are paying little attention to the direction in which they travel.

"Will we not be guests at next year's Bon festival, the world is vanity indeed" ;)

  • @spanoischillin Learning The Way is not an end, it is a journey; a long journey even the wisest of men are still walking. I too am seeking The Way. As a fellow traveler on this long road I welcome you and wish you luck on your path.

  • @spanoischillin chapeau, man. great attitude you have there. The Way is difficult to find. and there´s probably no final answer. as soon as you find answers, new questions emerge. maybe that´s the real meaning of The Way.

keep on searching. keep on studying. and be assured: you are already on The Way.

  • @harpiyon

    learning is not the way

  • @lowdownshakinchill oh i see.

so what is the way then? ignorance? denial? stagnating in your development? staying stupid?

i don´t think so. having the discipline, patience, motivation & will to learn & develop is one key factor of the way.

you can´t become a master if you haven´t been a (good) student.

  • @harpiyon

if yoy try to study, you will be far away from it

  • @lowdownshakinchill hmmm ok... ^^

so what should you do instead of studying & learning? do nothing? get drunk? take drugs?

    lmao

  • Man, it must be fun to do this in real life.

I honestly think i would enjoy it and afterwards feel like i had done something good.

  • Timothy Treadwell would have loved this scene. I love Ghost Dog. One of my favourite movies. Peace.

  • No one in this town works without retainer.

  • sometimes it is

  • @spanoischillin watch The Seven Samurai (1954) ~ Akira Kurosawa and read Tao Te Ching

  • HAGAKURE LIFE

  • @spanoischillin im reading hakakure around this time =D

and it is amazing,i was already busy following the way before i read it,and still am ;)

  • Beautiful. It's one of my favorite scenes from that movie. Thanks for the upoload!

  • this is a good scene to use as a teaser cuz there's no spoilers

  • that is kick ass

  • Imagine the KKK or Repulican vs The Front National in France. Nothing to compare. Sometimes I'm proud to live in France !

  • @spanoischillin

try the Thirty-six stratagems(If you haven't already) it's not a book of the way but it is an old Chinese text that was originally used to show tactics in war but has proved useful to many in day to day life, and in affairs outside that of combat.

  • Awe inspiring music for film and visual media availabe at my channel.

  • @spanoischillin May you find the Dao, brother. Remember that the taking of a human life must only be done out of necessity, and that one's honor must be measured carefully.

  • I love this movie I follow the hagekure everyday since I saw this movie, first time took me 2 years to find the book read it till its end. I read a passage everyday I have read many books on religion and ways of living life havn't found one better than this.

  • @crazychief9876 damm thats cool maybe you should become a hitman like ghost dog

  • @crazychief9876 The teachings of that book are ... I keep mine too thanks to the movie. One of the most important passages in the book I think was at the end of the "Driving Scene."

  • ghost dog 2 with a litle girls!!!!!

  • @spanoischillin enjoy the journey.

  • Well said ! Everything comes to an end. I love the philosophia of this movie. It's a good meditation and comprehension of the life. No matter what people say. I love this movie ! What about making Ghost dog 2?

  • @spanoischillin did you buy rashomon? i bought it a week ago and i'll read it as soon as i finish Hagakure the Manga edition it is a cartton interpretation so far really awesome.

  • This is my favorite from Ghost Dog as Bears are my favorite of all my brothers.

I once use to pray that I would never have to go to war or be put in position to where I ever had to kill anyone throughout my life time. As I have grown older and wiser to all the Bull S_ _ _ in the world I now pray that I don't leave this world without taking a few of these bastards with me. Redneck hunters are punks and a punk is a punk, is a punk, is a punk....

  • @ChipaTheWolfe you show your true strength if you don´t kill. at least not just for the sake of killing.

"ghost dog" had a strong motive of killing these men: he regarded the bear as his brother (he himself is like a bear); and because they started threatening him. in other cases he kills because he is ordered to. he does not do it for the money. and he never does it randomly. mind the ice man and the little girl, his friends: he would never harm them.

you do no good if you just go killing

  • @ChipaTheWolfe I concur....rednecks are a waste of oxygen,,but be equitable: While you're pretending to be a tough guy, drive down to Compton or Roxbury or Lawndale or The Desire project, and shoot some black gang members who believe beating down schoolkids and old people, raping girls and women and killing innocent people is what a "man" should do......All men are equal, and all bullies and thugs should die.

  • @spanoischillin your prolly are the way. you dont find the way. the way finds you.

  • @spanoischillin the samurai way, is the bushido code through and through

  • this scene is incredible

  • @spanoischillin the way is out through the box of norms & into the abyss of peace. Its a scary journey, if you survive with sanity intact you'll start understanding the way of the old.

  • @yellowbooze So true! You have to be out of your mind, to find your Self. To know your Self, you have to access the Sixth Sense or above. In other words, everything "normality" teaches you, no longer applies. No book you have ever read, has all the answers for your unique quest. Fundamentally, there is only One Seeker, who seeks only The One Mind ( TOM ). Everything is a mirror, but who is the seer, and who the reflection?

  • @zen4men Our egos tell us we are who we are. Lose the ego & you'll be one with the universe, with everything, with everyone. After that, the fear goes away...

  • I just searched the internets, and could not find what device he uses in the movie to unlock cars/gates and start cars. Does anyone know what this is?

    Thanks in advance.

  • the best movie ever! live by the code-die by the code!

  • @spanoischillin maybe you haven't seen it, but yoy ARE in The Way

  • 88888 view!

  • This is a very simple yet extremely powerfully directed scene, and it would have been so easy to have overdone it. The key to it, is Whitakers calmness and self- assuredness throughout...It is clear he knows he is fully in control of the situation. A very very underrated film.

  • @spanoischillin pick up the shoninki.

  • I love this part of the film where he fucks up the two redneck bitches.

  • @RecalcitrantBiznis that was a mistake he made and he knew it. he could of avoided conflict and drove away but he did not. He knew his honor was fading and was made from the previos scene. when a samurais honor fades he usually knows his death is around the corner. you have to know the mood of the ancient culture and thought or just examine the scene enought to understand. this scene seems like hes made or a badass or w/e but its actually one of his downfall points and he knows it

  • @spanoischillin Nice!

  • Hunter: This ain't no ancient culture here, mister.

    Ghost Dog: Sometimes it is.

  • ONE;LOVE

  • @spanoischillin Read Hagakure and The Book of Five Rings.

  • Pure justice in action! One of the most inspiring scenes ever.

  • GREAT MOVIE!

Very deep, very rich...loved every minute of it!

  • @spanoischillin I am on that path still.

  • @ILLCRILLKILLER I guess the path never ends

  • maybe in Ghost Dog 2 he can kill Michael Vick, of course Michael Vick will be played as a redneck white guy....

  • *sigh* more stereotypical racist bullshit. fuck hollywood and fuck you too mr. whitaker

  • @temperex Nope, sorry I live in the south this is exactly how it is.

  • @InsaneBillykane Depends where u live in the south. Not all southern states are this outlandish anymore.

  • I could watch inbred rednecks getting wasted with a silencer attached fireman anytime of the day.

  • @dunecigar lol but what are you really saying m8 ,cheers.

  • @dunecigar classic

  • I uploaded the entire film.

  • Those two racist idiots had it coming...Instant justice.

  • for fucks sake you woeful arse clowns, its only a movie. get a fucking life.

  • @spanoischillin keep it up brother

  • ghost dog

    57f92ed8.ubervidz.com

  • thx, man

  • Like he has spiritual awareness. not heard of karma ehh. kill two men for that then justifies that with misstranslation of Buddha. There are no justified resentment.

  • i cant remeber the movie. i Saw it in film class at college. but some awesome kurosawa flicks such as rashomon, seven samurai, and yojimbo. all all great movies. and if you want some bad ass samurai warrior movies. look up the Shogun assassin series. Also known as Lone wolf and Cub in America. great movies that all follow plot lines of great samurai warriors.

  • @tocicar Yeah shogun assassin is a deadly film.

  • @LulzBat you obviously have not watched the movie.

  • @LulzBat

You are a sick mind !!!!!!!

  • @LulzBat go fuck yourself some more.

  • Best scene in the movie!

  • Thats what bothers me as a Native American, seeing people hunt for sport and entertainment. Not for clothing, food, or respect for life. I love Ghost Dog protecting his way of life and following it, not many people do that. Native American hunt only what was needed to live, not over abundance. Letting life flourish, and flow.

  • good, kill those fuckin hillbillies

  • That's how it ought to be.

  • really epic!!!!!

  • Still great .thanks for posting ,cheers,I'm always glad he got the bogan vermin .

  • i love this epic scene

    =)

  • Whats crazy about this movie is all the symbolism from Rashamon and the Hagakure novels. The plot of this movie is all Based on Rashamon, and the morals are based from the hagakure. Fruthermore, something i had just learned is there is an old Kurosawa movie based on an assassin, following the samurai code and wears white gloves and all black suite. this movie was thought out a lot more then most movies. 99 was a great year, Fight Club, also based on a book, and of course the big lebowski.

  • @tocicar do you know the title of the movie? i would be very interested to see it.

  • @vangogh1234 I don't know if its the best movie but its based on one of the best books :-)

  • a good movie in troubled times..

  • niggers - 1

    rednecks -0

  • @recoveryprankcalls there are no niggers or rednecks, just ignorant humans

  • Comment removed

  • Kill the racist scum.

Ghost Dog -- the fuckking man.

  • hunting such an amazing beast with guns is cowardly

  • some hater got this vid removed by request from my facebook page, was it likely a crawler who had access to my page via a mutual friend, a site admin or what? I sure to hope it wasnt anyone of my ''friends'' there, or even worse somebody closer because I swear to God I will find them and disown them for life.

Harsh but fair in my world...

  • awesome

  • I swear Forest Whitaker actually found The Way while working on this flick, if not he did his research well that's for sure.

  • Either way, owned, nice one ghosty me mucka!

  • Make way for the samurai . If you point a gun at him. It would be like pointing at youself.

I kind of laughed a little when i saw the two hunters lay on the bear at the end lol.

  • Two wrongs do not make a right. But on further thought, these men are not hunters, which do good by killing populations as dictated by the park services and keep parks open by paying for a license. These men are poachers. GD did in fact make sure that they were not sanctioned to kill that bear by the law before killing them...so its a bit more understandable. They are doing the world a fairly big disservice, so maybe killing them is not so bad.

  • @lollipopfop

    law of the jungle

  • He just saved a population of nearly extinct bears from a couple of gun happy douches.

  • this is how things should be.....kill only if you are hungry not for your ego worthless piece of shits

  • (get down... it's just a movie)

  • A hawk does'nt have to ask permission to grab a rat.

  • A hawk uses hunts without weapons and does so to survive. Hunters kill animals from 100 feet away with guns because they think it's fun. There is a difference.

  • @xerxes465

    It is fun

  • @xerxes465 Agreed. However, I think the the reason Ghost Dog "cuts down" these two men is because they honor neither the laws of the land nor a code of mutual respect; in his eyes they're mere outlaws. As this notion of honor seemingly precedes "morality," they may be killed for their offense.

    Or so I gather.

  • @AvocadoRogue Although, traditionally, should not a samurai commit seppuku for breaking the laws of the land himself, even when it is done for his honor, and not break those laws or act in a way that demands seppuku if he has more pressing matters to tend by his honor?

  • @AvocadoRogue that wasnt the point of this scene alot of people done see it. he is falling from the honor path in this scene. he is already mad near the end and takes it out on these guys. Samurais try to avoid battle at all costs wich he did not do here, He should of got in his car and drove off. the next scenes that follow he dies. one of the reasons is hes losing his honor and he knows it. and its time for him to leave this world.

  • @AvocadoRogue

    Nice !

  • @xerxes465 that wasnt the point of this scene alot of people done see it. he is falling from the honor path in this scene. he is already mad near the end and takes it out on these guys. • @xerxes465 A hawk is naturally born with everything it needs to effectivly kill hawks eyesight are 7 times stronger than a man. But a man however is born hairless clawless and fangless they must rely on thier ablity to make tools and kill so they many become just as effective.

  • a hawk hunting for a rat , is because it needs food just like we do, it does what it has to do for survival not for entertaiment.

When we hunt for entertainment or cause like this guy says "its not that many left" , thats a disrespect againgst life. You only kill something when you need to eat or if mabye youre in great dangeour, not otherwise... too bad there are alot of retards that dont get it.

    (sorry for bad english)

  • wow, how enormous of you. not to knock you off of your soapbox or anything, but let me guess that you're a big fan of "good" and you think "bad" totally sucks.

  • @Shinku0405 the human being is not the only predator that hunts for pleasure or sport many others do it ie foxes, badgers, killers whales, lions etc

  • 1 thing about people, is that they always make new ones. So it's ok to kill bad ones, or assholes.

  • @renegademidget And in the process become a bad man yourself. Think on this. Assholes are not always bad people, nor are bad people always assholes. Some bad people are very pleasant. Its hard to judge the why of human activity. Thats why we have laws.

  • Fuck that. Smoke' em, Ghost Dog.

  • Two wrongs doesn't make a right

  • He was just balancing out nature.

  • @ToddCWiggins two mistakes are much better than the right thing

without first mistake 2 muthafucker will be still alive

  • I know that the ancient times are gone mr. or mrs. space369. but they are still people one such as myself that still takes up the old ways. History repeats itself in more ways than one. If the man that has done the act and has not a least payed his respects to what ever he hath slan, makes no difference to anyone or anything. it is a self conflict that he must deal with. The bear heart no one it was trying to live. just like you. all in all it was a good example.

  • @ILLCRILLKILLER -- That's sweet. So do you eat meat?

  • to an extent why do you ask. If your suggesting that eating meat is a cause to kill someone no. But replaceing life with life yes. Hunting is different from senseless killing. When any tribe hunts they use all parts of the body. so please compale me.

  • to kill a tiger or a bear with a gun is cowardly, to go out of your way to find an animal who has done nothing wrong to you and kill it for fun and with a gun? thats cowardly

  • @ILLCRILLKILLER -- "So please compale me."

Trust me, I'd 'compale' you till you weren't moving, but the dictionary won't allow me.

  • let me let yall understand this so the scene in this movie makes more sense to yall for those who do not understand. He killed those two men for one reason and one reason alone. They took something from nature. In hagakure the author explains why it is important to balance your emotion when it comes to nature. By taking the natural life of that animal the balance of nature was tilted and only then as a samurai is to do is to re harmonize nature by replacing it.

  • big up to the samurai! -_-

  • that's some fucked up logic for a cool movie !

    ancient cultures blablabla!

time is now no need to kill people!

  • @space369 And no need for the rednecks to get their gun out first to threaten a black man, but I guess you didn't see that. Typical.

  • Sometimes there is.

  • first he's gonna shit. then he's gonna kill us.

  • Let's turn it around: 2 black guys on side of road pop a red headed wood pecker off a wire with a 22 pistol just for kicks. White guy drives by, notices, exits car, talks some jazz about threatened species. Black guys make racist remark and out of fear pull gun on white guy to urge him away. White guy pulls piece and shoots them both down. One is still alive so he finishes him off. According to some of your logic the white guy would have been in the right & that is just plain disturbing.

  • Im not saying it's right. I was just explaining the meaning of this clip. yes it's cold blooded murder, but im pointing out how Ghost Dog believes they committed murder as well. He's a deep ass bad ass motha fuckin samurai.

  • Lets simply view the scene in context of the movie as its supposed to be seen , not outside.

Professional soldier (note not US military but medieval Japan's - professional soldier) sees two idiots that poached a bear .

In EXTREEMELY polite manner suggests that it s a wrong thing to do .

Gets threatened and aimed weapon on ....

I believe there is nearly appropriate term in american English - "suicide by cop" meaning stupid behavior that is guaranteed to provoke deadly force reaction.

  • @eliqfor1--In an earlier comment I said that within the context of the movie it was a great scene. What I have a problem with is the knuckle-heads who are suggesting the legitimacy of the ethos of Ghost Dog outside of the movie. Read the comments. And I still stick by my "let's turn it around" post and challenge anyone to address it directly. If it was a white guy instead of a black guy. If the colors were changed around, people wouldn't be so gung ho about the samuri aspect of it.

  • @greatsea Your a white American and nobody cares about your world view anymore haven't you noticed? It is a good move and that is it.

  • @Kalydosos -- It is a good move indeed. That is it it is.

  • @greatsea I mean movie!

  • okay I'm white, I have studyied the art bushido for many years sense I was young. If that " Ghost Dog" gentlemen was me, color would not be a factor in my decision. The pigment of your skin does not acount for your actions.

  • @greatsea Dont pull a gun on people making racist remarks. Thats all i have to say.

  • Great scene. The idea of Ghost Dog knocking off a couple of racist bear poaching rednecks is just "good tv". But, I'm disturbed by how many commenters think that in a real situation what Ghost Dog did was right. If I am a white country boy on the side of the road and a big ass black man stops to poke into what I am doing, I'm definitely getting my gun. In real life what Ghost dog did would have been cold blooded murder.
