Yeah, I have nothing to make the fuss out of and nothing worth showing off: just usual, old-fashioned stuff: Real weighted pull-ups, weighted dips, press, squats, cleans, some simple bar acrobatics, running, ..., boring... not for the CF pussies... you, CF guys, need smth that glitters :-)
Been doing a lot of EDT and PHA lately, i was bored with more traditional routines, flirted with crossfit from time to time aswell, a few of my friends are crossfitters. got to the point where i am going to embrace the crossfit spirit and the almost random, non linear nature of the workouts. its what i need and its the logical step after density training and PHA.
good work on this session, i doubt i could use anything like the suggested load parameters to be honest. so good going.
Fucking sick, really great job!! Try to lock you shoulders when your shoulders are more pressed together, if you know what i mean. Like when BP'ing where you pull your shoulderblades together and "lay on them". It's really hard to keep good form on deadlifts when HIIT training, but this might help a bit.
@cox96786 i dont know the crossfit rules but normally that bench press is legal and safe. arms come down to 90 degrees angle which is quite ok imho. but as i said dont kno the crossfit rules. good workout bro.
Technically squat cleans are the standard. When a WOD calls for cleans it always means squat clean. When it's a power clean they will always specify. Good job though. Linda's a bitch, lol.
@jayrhodes the wod is great but squat cleans is the prescribed exercise, as shown on the crossfit exercise demo page. not taking away from your wod but it's a standardized work out. not really your call on power clean instead squat cleans if your doing linda. i also have shoulder problem's when i bench but you got to be careful when you limit your range of motion like that. you strengthen only part of your bench so although your limited range of motion bench inproves your full bench doesn't
@HectorVictorious1 Next Linda will be squat cleans. And yeaahhh...it hurt. A lot. Lucky to walk away with no broken ribs, or worse have it land on my neck. Closed grip forever!
How should i lift a Deadlift - 1.5x Bodyweight. That would be 120 kg of my weight of 80kg

@valgez1 Read the info. Had a shoulder issue at the time which hurt only in that last ROM on the bench.
This is also almost 2 years old. Check some recent videos, I've learned a lot since then.
I'm deadlifting 505, Cleaning 295, Benching 275 (full ROM). Nothing wrong with that.

I have improved immensely on these and it actually looks how it should.

Good time. pretty weak on the ROM for the bench. should be done with full squat cleans.

SC vs. PC just makes it a different workout. Easier the way it's done here though for sure.

In Oly competitions you're free to power clean if you choose. It's all training anyhow so as long as you measure apples to apples its all good.

You'd benefit from full range of motion on both bench and full squat cleans instead of power cleans.. Great job though.

@codavex Thanks. I agree on the bench 100%, I'm able to do it with no shoulder pain now.
Power clean vs. Squat clean - IMO its just a different workout. Squat clean definitely tougher, because of the added ROM.

Good work dude! Try it with full squat cleans sometime, it's a different beast altogether!
Oh, and please find a power rack to bench in or at least use a closed grip- that didn't look fun at all lol
