  • Brenda is by far my favourite character of six feet. Claire would be next. I enjoyed Nate's character though.

  • thanx for posting this. when I saw 'highlights' I thought it was a compilation (not a fan of those), but checked it out and here THIS is. great fucking scene. Nate was also a sex addict. That was so sad when he broke up with Brenda on his deathbed. I LOVE that sicene in All Alone when Maggie brings the quiche and knocks the plant over and Brenda goes to Maggie, is that a quaker thing, fucks a woman's husband to death, and bring a quiche? 1 of Brenda finest momemts

  • peter krause is one of the best actors in the planet... i swear to god... the guy is as natural as fucking water.

  • the best dialogues ever written for tv

  • wtf is this?

  • Nates and Brenda's was nothing short of toxic, both cheated, both had issues, Nate was a womanizer, Brenda was a sex addict, both were just arm in arm because they were lonely. They were doomed from the start. Brenda put it perfectly. I was just some bitch you f....d when you got of an airplane, that's who I was. He should've known what he was letting himself in for, doing a women you only just met on a flight somes her up perfectly as a slut.

  • NeanderSFU uploaded a bunch of six feet under episodes on youtube.

type in "sfu pilot" and youll find the whole first episode.

  • I hated Brenda in the beginning of the series because she came off as a uncontrollable slut and a know it all. But as the series goes on you see her as a character of dignity and give her credit for being a human being she becomes

  • S L U T Intense scene..

  • Greatest breakup scene ever!!! Pure, raw, uncensored, repulsively real. Hurts to watch, as the ending of anything special should be. Serious props to Peter and Rachel, they must have needed a lot of time to recover

  • The line about Nate's hair gets me every time LMAO

  • Comment removed

  • she is a really fine actress !

  • this is a great scene....

  • Rachel Griffiths is fucking amazing

  • does anybody know if there is anywhere that has this show online? i know someone had all of the seasons on youtube, but i just found out that his account got deleted by youtube.

  • @galliokid sadly, i dont =(

maybe hulu, if you live in the USA...

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 It's not on Hulu it's an HBO show. Some sites have the first season online you have to hunt for it.

  • @galliokid project free tv should have it

  • @docdog333 That is a virus, so people, dont try it.....

  • @galliokid Metete en esta página, tiene todo lo que quieras y más, películas, series, yo miré completa esta y Dexter en esta página, muy buena calidad y nunca se cuelga! cuevana.tv

  • @galliokid HBO Go, Comcast has all seasons online.

  • @galliokid you can watch it on cuevana.tv

  • @galliokid go to sidereel, all the episodes are on there

  • I followed Hall to Dexter, Kraus to Parenthood and Griffith to Brothers and Sisters... but it's not the same. Especially for Griffiths, this video really reminded me how good she used to be. Her role on Brothers and Sisters sucks.

  • Twin Peaks was my favorite show for a decade... until Six Feet Under came along. Not only is the acting stellar and the story lines magnificent, but it is also remarkably effecting. Because of this show, I started a green burial association in upstate New York to create awareness about natural burials such as those received by two of our beloved characters.

  • @runly1

    wow!!

no doubt that SFU inspires people!!!

  • Rachel Griffiths made a funny comment on the dvd 'extras' about working with Peter Krause in which she said that he was so wonderful and gorgeous etc. that she'd have to be very professional in order to avoid falling in love with him!

Originally Peter Krause auditioned for David's role and Dina Waters - that really annoying character/stalker Tracy Montrose Blair auditioned for Brenda - thank goodness she didn't get the part!

  • @sleepypoodle

i always thought that was a very cute thing to say from Rachel, and it only proves the amazing chemistry between them.

Interesting fact about Dina Waters, i also think it was a good thing that didn't happen

  • best acting in a tv series scene ive seen so far. love this show!!!!

  • As wretched as Brenda was during this season, she was right about Nate... she was always right about Nate. He lived lie after lie... shit, he even died in a lie. A life with Maggie as Quakers... how long would that have gone on for before he was bored and onto something else. I love Nate's character and all of the flaws that they wrote into him. It took balls for the writers to do that.

  • "There barf!" LOL I miss six feet under so much :-(

  • @jonathanJ0J0 Memento mori is a Latin phrase translated as "Remember you must die".

  • I finished last episode of series one hour ago. And, however the end may look pathetic to someone, I want to point out something: the fact that this TV series was about "memento mori" for full five seasons without any boredom, repeating ideas/scenes/characters, is the fact that is astonishing by itself. It was an amazing ride for every of 63 episodes.

The very idea that we are all mortal gives me terrifying feeling about future of human kind.

  • @BodyHeaven

you're right!! but if one thing is VERY celebrated about SFU, it's precisely the way it ended =D

I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like this seeries =D, and i can proudly say that i'ce created some fans

  • best serie ever for me, miss you all

  • This ranks right up there with the big fight between Tony and Carmela on the Sopranos. Thanks HBO for giving us wonderful, intelligent adult programming.

  • @Pat2296 Indeed. All four actors give some of the best performances I've ever seen.

  • i love brenda and her story i miss this show..

  • Peter Krause is a great actor, I love this show. I just finished season 3, I'm about to start 4. The last episode of season 3 is pretty awesome, this show brings out emotion.

  • Dammit!! I just started watching this show. I'm on season 2 now and I haven't gotten to this part yet! But I couldn't stop watching this. The dynamic between Nate and Brenda is impossible to not watch!

  • @ccantu32film

If i'm correct, it's one of the last episodes of the season (if not the very last). i'm so jealous of you.... keep enjoying this magnificent series!!!!

  • happy cycling ;)

  • Yep, been there, done that. Twice.

    Great acting.

  • Love this show

all actors in the show did great in there

  • "Nate the FUCKING saint with the FUCKING great hair cut" the way she delivers that line and Krause's reaction to the hair cut bit always make me laugh

  • @thedynamichispanic HAHA me too, he gives the perfect WTF look in response to that comment hahahahaha!

  • what the hell this is just an acting masterclass

  • best scene in the hole serie

  • brenda i always wanted to see her have sex and claire but they never got nude what a drag

  • Love when he thows the ring and is like "there barf"

  • Fuckin great scene love both of these characters

  • I love this scene!

  • When brenda mentions the hair i loled

  • @wiiplaya25 lol me too!!! xD

  • I well used to have a crush on Nate haha

  • Fuck ! The scene is so intense ! Season 2 of 6FU is my favourite ! All characters are angry at each other. This show is the greatest drama ever created.

  • @guyomC75

    yes it is!!!! =D

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 I finished the series 3 days ago ... the last episode is one the greatest cinematic experience of my life !

  • I really miss this show and the Soprano’s . Now all HBO has on is that Vampire shit..

  • Thanks for uploading this scene. As much as I don't like relationship scenes from TV series in general (find them too cheesy), this intense fight between Nate and Brenda is an excellent exeption. Actually, the whole "SFU" series is.

  • Does anyone have more scenes from this episode? Like that one where Keith imagines he killed the most amazing human ever or when they are preparing the house for the social worker's visit. Both of them are hilarious! Or claire watching a car just like hers at the university....or Ruth breaking up at the movie theater...geeze! There are many great scenes...I wish they were here

  • excellent acting and writing. i wish this show was still on.

  • Did Brenda/Billy fuck? Thoughts everyone? I always wondered!

  • @stipV

that's an idea the creators liked to toy with us, yesterday i watched episode 1*06 and brenda makes a weeeird comment

    Brenda: did you fuck him?

    Claire: No

Brenda: you've just dogded a bullet...

uhmm, bit i would say no, it'd be tooo much, hehehe

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 Yeah that's true! I always wanted it to be solved! OMG that scene in the last season

    SPOILERS

where they make out but it's just a dream, I THOUGHT IT WAS REAL AT FIRST! I was so disturbed haha!

  • @stipV

    i bet!!!

i think it was just a freaky co dependent relationship that brenda got out from first, but it wasnt that easy for bill

in this scene, it's a really cheap and low move from Nate

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 Yeah it is a cheap move from him! And 'cunt from hell' is an awesome but harsh line! haha!

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 i don't think they did. i think brenda's comment meant more along the lines of she has seen him with other women and saw he was with women. i think his bipolar disorder had very bad consequences for the women he was with. you saw how obsessive he can be with brenda...imagine how he probably was with other women who he ACTUALLY did have a sexual relationship with...

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 This dialogue was an insult to Nate, he' s so round with his sex life, that's he'll sex anything that moves. He knows to much about him.

  • @stipV no. but i think billy always had this unrequited longing for her. he tried to kiss her and brenda quickly backed off and was disgusted and told him to NEVER do that again. she was always protective of him and he, after so many years of her always having his back, he interpreted that as romantic love...he didn't like sharing her...with ANYONE. i believe billy wanted her and her attention all to him.

  • @breezybabe23 Yeah you're probably right, because if they had hooked up in the past when he kissed her she would of said "We can't do that anymore" or something. I think SFU was ballsy to explore the relationship and storyline, love this show! Such good actors!

  • @stipV you're very right. there hasn't been a show like this on television in a long time (i'm also a huge fan of OZ...that was also very intriguing and gutsy for a show but in a different way than sfu). hbo and showtime both just make good tv shows that think out the box. and most of the shows end after what, 5 or 6 seasons? so love them and miss them...but they end before they overstay their welcome. but i still miss this show terribly...and yes i got the series on dvd. lol

  • @breezybabe23 Ooh I love Oz as well, such a good show! Do you watch Dexter? Also an AMAZING show! Yeah those channels really do have good shows, i'm in Aus so I don't know alot about what channels the shows are on, but when I start to watch something like SFU, Oz, Dexter and really love it I usually find out it was on HBO or Showtime.

  • @stipV I do like Dexter. Yet I don't get extended cable anymore so I can't watch it anymore. I did watch Parenthood though for Peter Krause and Lauren Graham, but that show...ehhh...not really all that good, yet it got greenlighted for another season. Another show I really got into was FlashForward...and it had a cliffhanger ending...and the damn thing got cancelled. which only proves my theory that shows that get cancelled...is my fault. me liking a show...is the kiss of death.

  • @stipV you have to check "mad men". It's on AMC but you'll definitely like it :)

  • @videosharetube Yeah? Have heard good things but never seen it, might have to look into it! Was sad it got the emmy over Dexter though! :(

  • For some reason I am obsessed with this scene...I watch it over and over again..it amazes me the talent that great actors like Rachel possess.

  • @capetownbound

I'm glad you like it!!! =D

  • The band is better than this!

  • 4 stars

  • That scene is at the end of third season, i guess. Nate was crying 'cause Lisa (his wife) was missing!

  • I believe it was the episode on the beach when he was looking for what happened to his missing wife Lisa.

  • This show was very realistic. The two actors are so natural, it seems like real life.

  • Help! Does anyone know the episode where at the end nate was hiding out alone and his brother and sister both showed up and the sister i believe said to nate "we thought you can use some company" then nate broke down crying and huged both of them and said he loved them. That's how this episode ended." BUT" there was a song that was playing i need to know this episode to find out the name of the song It sounded like a 70's Johnny nash or Roberta flack song but i'm just not sure. HELP

  • do you remember why was he crying? or at least the season???

that could help me,cos right now i dont remember

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 I think he was crying in that episode because Lisa went missing, you know... must be in the 3rd or 4th season.

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 isnt that when he went looking for lisa?

  • @fishfan67 It's the episode where Nate finds out that Lisa is actually dead. He goes to retrieve her car. There is a cabin that he's staying in, while there Claire and David show up. I believe the episode is called Death Works Overtime. It's in season 3. Hope this helps!!

  • @fishfan67 it sure does i found ot the sog was By Todd Rundgren- I saw the light. song means alot to me. brings back my childhood.. Thanks for your response.

  • @fishfan67 I remember that! I think it has to deal with Lisa.

  • Season 3, Episode 11 | Death Works Overtime

If you're talking about the song that's playing when Nate is sitting in Lisa's car, it's "I Saw the Light" by Todd Rundgren.

    Hope that helps :)

  • @fishfan67

Season 3, Episode 11 | Death Works Overtime

If you're talking about the song that's playing when Nate is sitting in Lisa's car, it's "I Saw the Light" by Todd Rundgren.

    Hope that helps :)

(Accidentally posted this twice -- sorry about that.)

  • @fishfan67 It was the episode when he was trying to find his missing wife Lisa.

  • @fishfan67 nah man you're thinking of an episode from season 3 where he just found out that Lisa is dead and stays in a motel where her car was found.

  • @fishfan67 just looked it up and it's S03E11, titled "Death Works Overtime". i had it in pretty fresh memory. :)

  • The part where Brenda says that her child might have a miserable life is so true its sad. So much of how a persons life is precived is how the parents treated them. If the parents were lousy, the kid is set up for a lousy life, but the cycle can be broken.

  • Those two were always great together! Now Rachel is on Brothers&Sisters and Peter is on Parenthood... but maybe some day we'll see them together again in some movie... I know it's only a dream!

  • just... wow !

  • Brill.

  • ugh so epic.

  • I usually find myself yawning at 'serious relationships' in programmes but Nate and Brenda's characters are excellent. love it.

  • I just realized this , whats great about this scene an what makes it so real is that they talk over each other.

  • yeah, that really is it lol it just makes the argument SO damn real. and it's a little frightening, cause it somehow reminds you of when you're little and your parents are arguing. so intense.

  • this is probably my favorite scene from six feet under. i've watched it 100's of times and i get chills every time. the writing, the acting, the cinematography...they all blow me away. especially rachel griffiths. she is the definition of an actress.

  • Rachel Griffiths is an acting genius! Superb!

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant.

  • Oh, one more thing: "The only reason you stayed with me is because I was never really here," has to be one of the greatest lines ever written for tv.

  • you ar absolutely right!!!

  • This moment was two years in the making, and it was electric when it happened for all the fans. Brenda was my favorite character on the show; not b/c she was the most likable, but b/c she was the most honest and complex, and she had serious flaws... you know, like normal people do.

  • best scene out of the entire series.

  • why?? ok,sometimes they were too much, but why do you say that?

    thanks for the comment!!

  • I don't think they ruined the show, in fact I think their relationship was one of the main backbones of the show. I think it was an accurate depiction of two people who were legitimately in love with each other but couldn't be together no matter how much they tried because they were practical polar opposites, yet they were made, on some level for each other. Everyone has that one relationship they reflect on that changed their life but it ended in the same manner. It's very real and raw.

  • wow!

you really got me thinking! I've just lived a similar experience, and i also thought that maybe two people can absolutely love each other but just can't be together, like you said, it was raw and very hard, but I learn something new about life. But all of this just speaks volumes about the genious of this show and the GREAT and WONDERFUL Alan Ball, I love that man!!

  • she is great.

  • I love this clip. Amazing acting.

  • lmfao hahaha ...you know what take your fucCking ugly ring..

...dont you throw that ring at me thats such a fucking cliche I'll fucking barf...

..there ..barf. hahahahahahaha brilliant posting..brilliant acting..fantastic script..that is so the highlight..

  • This seems too real. Great acting.

  • This is why I don't have relationships. Man my life is peaceful.

  • Funny and true.

    Amen Brother

  • Oooo... Tisk, tisk, Brenda.

  • This may take the cake for fight scenes on film

  • my and my ex!!!!

  • that was like me an mi ex girlfriend...

    oh great memories haha

  • I <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Rachel Griffiths (even if Brothers and Sisters is shite)

  • she is amazing!

  • spectacular writing and acting on this show.

This performance comes off as so real and unscripted.

Six feet under was the best.

  • absolutely. thank god summer started, rewatching this show again.

  • yeah, at 3:00 is really mean, but so funny too! in fact when watched the entire show till its end, I sympathize with Brenda, and she is actually right about Nate. By this time I was almost more to Nate's side

  • LOL "There... barf"

  • OMG !! its Unbelievable Hearing Rachel Swear Nd Talk Lyk This Aftr Hur in Brothers And Sister `ss !! Haha Wow its Mean !!

  • the handheld camera look adds so much, although with their acting it doesnt matter what the camera's doing. it just shows that six feet under truly went beyond all standards by making everything in a scene count

  • At one point or another every one of the characters pissed me off. Except Claire, though. Claire rules!

  • THEY didn't do anything to you. you're sitting there watching tv pissing yourself off. :)

  • really, claire never pissed you off? even when she was being a bitch about her stupid collage idea in the 4th season?

  • this scene is gold. sooo entertaining! i have to say though, there were times when nate REALLY pissed me off, and this was one of those times. look at him bitching and complaining, trying to play the victim. getting mad at brenda for doing something that he was guilty of himself. he could be such a hypocritical little bitch sometimes. nate was probably my least favorite fisher

  • yeah, he could be really hateful sometimes!!!!

    in fact, many times!!!

but... Brenda Rules!!!! she really took a lot of shit from him, though she obviously wasn't a saint!,. lol

  • Yeah, but just because he did it before doesn't give her an excuse to do it too.

  • while watching certain parts of this show (like the very begining of this clip) I suspected the actress playing Brenda was a dancer because she always seemed so fluid in her movements. I looked it up and she is a dancer.

  • really? I didn't know that! it's a very good observation

I'm a fan of Rachel OBVIOUSLY because of her work here!!

  • 0:19 her lean was very graceful; i noticed that too

  • I love this series (best tv show I ever see) and this scene is really great. Thanks for uploading.

  • My Favorite six feet unders scene ever! thanks this is just what I was looking for

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

  • - did you really fuck two guys?

    - You had sex with two women once

    - No when I was engaged

    - Oh no right, you only had sex with just ONE woman while you were engaged and without a condom I might add.

LOL priceless, still, such a powerful scene. Love SFU!

  • "Don't you throw that ring! That's such a cliche!"

    Nate tosses it.

God I loved this series. And the theme music is one of the most beautiful ones of any TV series. This was not a show. This was a series of artwork in motion from the opening pizzicato and title sequence to the ending credits.

TV will never be the same.

  • Could someone make a comment without a fucking ''ever'' at the end of his sentence ? It's just sound more ridiculous than interesting.

  • i wish the uk wud show every HBO series we only got Entourage,Curb,Sex and the city,Band of brothers and The wire id love 2 see SFU,True blood and repeated seasons of The Sopranos and Deadwood

  • Truly, this is the best scene of the entire series. Thanks for posting.

  • She cheated on Nate because she missed Billy.

  • Thanks for uploading this scene, it's definitely one of my favourites. Brilliant.

  • haha (y)

  • The Fishers are probably one of the most realistically fucked up families depicted on TV, though in the fourth and fifth seasons it descended quite a lot into overly melodramatic conflict. This is an incredibly powerful scene and really cuts to core vulnerabilities in men and women - fear of intimacy, lack of direction...excellent.

  • The best show, on t.v. ever (period)

  • fucking best show ever

    peter krause is so fit

  • i realy realy miss six feet under

(this is btw the strongest scene ever)

  • "There, barf! That's classic!!

  • The look on his face when she says "Fucking great haircut" is hilarious.

  • yes it is! but i love the face whne he says "OMG you're so full og shit!!!" LOL!

  • Nate's a toal dickhead in this scene. COMPLETELY unwilling to be vulnerable with her when she is clearly willing to let down her walls. all he wanted to do in this scene was be the victim. he doesn't give one flying fuck about her here.

  • I don't know. Lots of messed up shit here.

  • I've always wondered what Brenda is saying when she says, "I don't know why I did it, I don't know..."

Does she say, "I fucking wish to god I did [know why I did it]" or does she say, "I fucking wish to god I didn't [do it]"? Doesn't really matter, but it does change the meaning.

"Life doesn't have to be miserable just because you are." One of the best Nate lines, and this is one of the finest scenes ever. "You picked me, you know..." The haircut line, the barf line. AHH, love it.

  • I miss Brenda :(

  • stop watching because you're racist?

  • Read: DjSinnere wants to kiss another guy so bad he can't even stand himself.

  • thank you....

I visited your channel but couldn't find the videos you mention... where can i see them? otherwise, let me know when you upload them

    thank you!!!

  • I would love to know the reactions after director yelled "cut!"

  • seriously!! everybody would definitely need to take a breather.

  • @TheFifthBeatle06 They probably collapsed in laughter.

  • six feet under is my life...

  • oh i miss this show so much :(
