i got a thunderace, and love it done a few miles on it and get off the bike. and feel fine. the old R1 has the same power.

but the thunderace has only got 5 gears instead of six.

I have always loved both the R1 and the Thunderace, but after taking many of both for thorough test rides I decided on buying a Thunderace. To me they are just a more practical bike, and alot more comfortable to ride with basically the same performance. My bike mechanic also told me that the Thunderace engine is also made alot stronger than the R1 engine. Hope that helps!

I already have an 04 R1 as my sports Bike.

Now I think i'll buy and an "Ace" as my travelbike.It may be old but i like it a lot compared to th new ones.
