I downloaded the entire movie about a year ago, but damaged the the flash drive I had it on and I couldn't retrieve it, and now I find I have to purchase it?? I'm confused. What happened?
Excellent. I sure wish Rod Serling had lived longer. He would have been host / narrator for In Search Of. Leonard Nimoy did a good job but Rod Serling just has that perfect voice for this kind of material. Thanks for sharing this with us.
@storrs19: Rod Serling, Leonard Nimoy, and Peter Graves are among the best narrators for these monster / UFO type 1970s documentaries. I have quite a few in my collection. "UFOs it has Begun" (1979) hosted by Rod Serling, is one of my favourites.
In 1988, Duncan Lunan retracted his theory regarding Epsilon Boötis. The claimed SOS signals from a dying planet were actually something far more prosaic: LDEs (long delay echos) radio impulse waves from Earth refracted within the ionosphere.
It's 2012, but in this film I think Rod Narrated 2007...I will have to find it. I have this on VHS. When 2012 comes and goes and nothing happens, they will come up with another date.....
A fairly typical style of presentation for this era, especially the creepy sounds. The narrator reminds me of Leonard Nimoy.
I do believe life is entirely possible (and most likely) elsewhere in the universe, but I always feel quite sceptical about these types of shows. There's so much pseudoscience out there today that I just dismiss the whole thing rather than attempt to pick and choose the truth from the fiction. I find it easier to concentrate on what I CAN see rather than what I can't.
The narrator is the legendary Rod Serling, TV writer and creator of the Twilight Zone. There is no doubt that he would have hosted the TV series, "In Search Of...," instead of Leonard Nimoy, had he not died in 1975 at the age of 50.
Mr. Sterling's voice and the musical score really add a mysterious, otherworldly (no pun intended) feel to this documentary.

This movie gave me the creeps as a kid .
A lot of the "theories" presented have long since been debunked, like Kirlian photography.

Sorry mate but kirlian photography is not debunked ;) google some pictures of plants etc.
