I'd always noticed the reinforced Lion backside. But I never noticed the scene where Judy isnt wearing ruby shoes. That's a HUGE blunder! Surely someone on set, especially Judy, would have known that she hadnt put them on????
0:55 I just read that to achieve the effect in the movie the room was painted sepia and filmed in color, the actress inside the room is not Garland but a stand in, once the shot goes outside the door frame Garland appears in her blue dress. Interesting bit of film trickery
Another mistake that was made was when they come to the part where the Lion says "I do believe in spooks". He is carrying a butterfly net and a hammer and starts to run away, then when they bring him back and the cuts change, suddenly he no longer has the hammer and the net anymore, and they're not even on the ground to suggest that he dropped them.
@Torn80cj - That was the result of a deleted scene in which the Witch's magic causes the Lion's weapons to vanish...this is why the Scarecrow suddenly announces "I believe there's spooks around here".
The bit where dorothy is black and white, then coloured, it isn't a mistake because when she opens her door thats when everything including her becomes coloured
in the description it says "this moie never really did capture in intrest that much" and yes it is supposed to say "Movie" , I presume. This movie was a Huge success and everyone I know has seen it in their lives so I do not know what you mean by this...
