@matic1444 Actually P stands for progressive scan, and i (as in 720i 1080i etc. ) stands for interlaced scan... 1080p refreshes from top to bottom or bottom to top one line at a time (progressively) and takes one pass, 1080i refreshes every other line and takes two passes (like it's weaving the picture) like CRT technology. They're really not that much different to look at but P is technically better. But yeah I'm nit picking, you're right resolution has nothing to do with sound quality. Haha.
