  • Despite getting soaked to the skin, she managed to keep her flake bar as dry as a bone !

  • the greatest ad jingle of all time. Ive looked cannot beat it.

  • @Imeldadavies1

only the crumbliest flakiest chocolate was composed by

ronnie bond the composer of other classic ads like

tasty tasty very very tasty(bran flakes and i'd rather have abowl of coco pops(coco pops) both for kellogs

will that help you and merry christmas

  • @FRANKIESHANOWSKIY2K0

Thanks buddy your a legend. Did Bond sing it?

  • what is the name of this song ??

  • This was like a porno to me when I was a kid,I so wanted to get in the canoe with her

  • You have to be a Brit to eat a flake and not let the crumbs drop everywhere

  • The VO is great, he did everything back then, (he di the Denim Aftershave ads I think) but this... tried... and failed for me.

A pale comparison with the poppy field ad and it's haunting sound:

  • she was fine

  • i always find cadbury's flake too messy because it gets everywhare

so i dont buy it anymore but the adverts where great in one cadburys advert

an actress got told off by the director for swallowing a piece of the bar

because she was supposed to bite it for the take and then spit it out

so they had to make a drastic cut to the advert .

  • it's funny how even the woman in the advert is struggling with the crums :D

  • It may look so glamorous and carefree, but I saw a documentary once where the Flake girl said that the flowing water which cascades onto her head at 0.29 was actually full of bats' shit.

  • Guess what the chocolate flake symbolises.

  • Anyone have any idea where this was filmed?

  • @Althanjaal

it was part on location and part studio and the canoe was pulled

by electronic rigging on a special pullie track embedded in the water

to give that illusion that the canoe is floating by it's self they had an underwater

safety crew on stand by if the canoe tips over and mostly it took about a week to film

    and complete .

  • these ads are so f*n ridiculous.

  • She can take a bite of my flake anytime she likes :)

  • Okay, so in each of the flake commercials so far, a woman sensually opens her mouth and inserts the flake chocolate bar in, then some type of water comes over her. Hmm, yeah subtle >.>

  • that guy's got the crumbliest flakiest voice in the world

  • @choaty5 lol

  • that deep voice at the end is intense!

  • ...and her chocolate doesnt get soggy after going through a waterfall...oh please ¬_¬

  • Nowhere near as hot as the gypsy girl in the caravan

  • HOT HOT HOT - Catrina Skepper at her best!!! It made me want to eat chocolate watching it - so I guess the Ad men knew what they were doing!...this also coincided with a boom in sales of top shelf magazines!!!

  • i liked the man who sang this .. any1 know who sang this ? though i prefer the other advert more powerful lol :op & s3xy ...

  • best flake add ever.......80's styles...

  • I like the way they say "Crumbliest, flakiest milk chocolate in the world" as though that's a good thing! I like the taste of Flake - but it gets everywhere when you try to eat one! What's so good about that?

  • @Perranporth Curly Wurleys do that as well, so tasty but one get chocolate all down one's front.

  • @Perranporth

well then the hot babe in the canoe comes over and licks it off u. silly. what could be more delightful than that.

    :-)

  • I remember this on nz tv back in about 84 or 85.

  • This advert had a pretty (subconscious)epic effect on my psyche - waterfalls, rivers and forests became everything and gorgeous girls were essential! Not to mention - as a composer the flake chord sequence found its way into loads of my pieces, and still does... Diane xxx

  • Has the Flake been verified as the 'crumbliest and flakiest' chocolate in the world? If not, this advert is propagating a potential lie. Expect to hear from my lawyers.

  • what year was this?

  • @puremanchester

    1922

  • "Only the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate! Tastes like chocolate never tasted before!" Quite possibly one of the best adverts ever made.

  • The wonderful Catrina Skepper!
