Actually it's said that the difference between fosbury and scissor is 25-30 cm. It means if your pb 2.00 you can do that at height of1.75.

@mapleasura its weird because thats wrong, no olympic level highjumpers have a vertical leap of 50 cm thats fucking tiny, thats 19 inches my vertical is double that and ive only ever jumped 2 metres and it was my absolute max, but technique does come in to play alot i wasnt well trained at all high jumping is this guys life and hes damn good at it!

@hakkenadventure nobody on Earth has ever had an honestly measured 59 inch vertical leap, that I've heard of.

But high jump isn't really vertical leap, it's more turning forward speed into upward speed using physics. Much different from a standing vertical jump. 25 inch vertical leap makes sense for a high jumper.

Stefan Holm can never fail to amaze me. He is perhaps the 2nd best High Jumper of all time, behind Javier Sotomayor

As far as the highest height jumped I would agree, but Stefan holm is only like 5'10" and jumping around 2.40 I would consider him the best jumper compared to height.

@darkfall2011 Patrik Sjöberg, the famous high jumper and swedish record holder comment to this is pretty funny and completely true. The circus is the place where dwarfs get rewarded for jumping high, in sports it only matters how high you jump, regardless if you are a dwarf or not.

I never said that Holm is fucking a dwarf, that would be to much even for him. Anyway Sjöberg I the best high jumper since he jumped the highest, which Holm has a hard time accepting.
