they do require some work (cleaning face folds and ears, monitoring body temp, frequent vet trips), but its not as bad as some people would have you believe...they fart nonstop though; during the 30-60 seconds it has taken me to type this, napoleon has farted three times (and they are pretty awful)...other than that, though, they're great fun!
our frenchie (one in movie) does not have to go to the vet that much -- you just have to make sure, like pugs, you keep them out of hot temps because they can get overheated -- they are a joy to have
