Firstly, it wasn't me. I'm interested in bike rules and you do have a point that it was part of a pedestrian crossing where he joined the cycle path. But after reading everything I could find, I don't think this was illegal (or if it is, its very dubious). He didn't use a the pedestrian crossing, he just mounted the pavement onto the cycle lane. If cycle lanes are for cyclists already using it, how would anyone join? You need to join at some point and it was an appropriate moment.
@PlebScrubber keep them trucks off our roads. Cycles were on these roads first and the nation was better when goods were mostly transported by rail and canal. That, and you don't get intelligent people driving trucks, or not enough of them, at least. Look at the evidence on these comments!
the lorry driver didn't "create space" , he was just driving normally . nothing was mentioned about the cars parked on the wrong side of the road , when they pull out to join the road the driver wouldn't get a clear view of whats coming down the cycle lane towards him . you seem to have a biased point of view
I find that most professional drivers, including white van man, leave filter lanes and advanced stop lines clear when they arrive at the junction unrushed (if only they could be unrushed and not making phonecalls all day) the average driver doesn't have a clue about ASLs or anything else added to the highway code since they passed their test. Time for complusary mini tests every five years?
Knock down a cyclist a day, will keep the doctor away!

Love the way you cut the junction before riding onto the pavement illegally. If I were walking there i'd have thrown you underneath the truck myself!

@TheSlapdown
You mean the clearly designated cycle path?
GregsPCs 10 months ago
@GregsPCs That's for cyclists already using the path. You mounted a pedestrian access.

@TVismyopiate not everywhere has a railway or canal nearby, you still need trucks to distribute goods from there to the shops and warehouses...

What was that "thing" doing walking the bike lane from :50? (not "person", persons can think...)
WannabeCPH 4 years ago
The bike lane in your video, is that raised area where the cars are parked, is that legal parking?
If so, who is responsible for a cyclists being Doored by those of cars.
I must say that someone wasn't thinking very clearly when that road way was set up.
