  • you again! arent you tired of your lies about genocide? why are you so much afraid of the name turks? the term have evolved into a completely different one. but you stayed at the same place i guess. btw, i am fed up with reading your so-called arguments. please dont react like a pavlov's dog when you see name the name turk. please!

  • Also it is not uncommon to find Turks who have not heard of the Armenian Genocide or of Armenians because it is the goal of the Turkish government to wipe out Armenians from the face of this Earth. The Turkish government brainwashed everybody living in Turkey into believeing the Armenian Genocide never happened and that Muslims and Jews instead got killed, and many other fantastical theories.

  • We are not leaving Iraq you Young Retard. The surge is working . We will win in Iraq as long as Bush is at the helm. You yellow belly liberals have no power and no say. We will be in Iraq 10 years from now GET A GRIP!!!

  • And let's not forget that genocidal maniac, Rod Stewart. He had that song "Young Turks" that, if you play it backwards, is all about the Armenian genocide. People really have got to get lives out there, rather than gripe about some ridiculous YouTuber's name.

  • this is not about some ridiculous YouTuber's name. The you tube video is a clip of a show on nationally broadcast "Air America", a so called liberal American media outlet. It is not just a jack-ass with a video camera, as it seems.

  • So you know this a nationally broadcast show, and yet you think they haven't considered where the name came from, even though they've been on for over two years? This is from their profile:

Young Turk (n), 1. Young progressive or insurgent member of an institution, movement, or political party. 2. Young person who rebels against authority or societal expectations. (American Heritage Dictionary)

Are you going to call the dictionary company and get them to change it?

  • Of course.

The definition in the dictionary will change. I'll see to it myself

  • The "Young Turks" were the group that perpetrated the Armenian genocide. I don't care how the American Heritage dictionary defines it. Of course the title of the broadcast was well planned-- therefore they knew it would be offensive to Armenians. That is why the name WILL change.

  • The Young Turks set the standard for liberals that successfully rebelled to reform their government. The show's hosts were likely called Young Turks by many people during the course of their lives, since it is political jargon for a young liberal rebel. Why in the world they would want to offend Armenians is a conspiracy theory that I'd like to hear

  • Although I definitely wouldn't name my show the Young Turks since historically the party was an awful example of people who want reform, changing labels for "political correctness" doesn't reverse genocides or slavery or other atrocities. It's a rather pointless excercise in being offended, because the young Turk show is the farthest thing from racist or power-hungry. Getting offended at names only endangers your health

  • If the label has anything at all to do with history, I would guess the Young Turks are trying to offend the historical Young Turks, like, "Look assholes, this is what real reform is about"

  • YOU SAY: "The young turks are trying to offend the 'historical young turks'"?

How do you offend the dead when you don't tell the living that you are doing so?

    Nonsense.

  • Figure of speech. To take on the name and then act completely different from the people who had it before, dishonors them, whether they are alive or dead

  • And did you just ask how they can offend someone if they don't tell them they are trying to offend them? You're the one acting like you're offended over the name, although the name has nothing to do with offending anyone, except Republicans. By the way, to offend doesn't necessarily mean your target feels offended, it can also mean you disrespect them, whether they care or not

  • Read carefully "lowerself"-- I said,-- how can you offend the DEAD when you don't tell the LIVING you are doing so.

These guys are offending the "historical young turks" because they have a talk show which doesn't orchestrate a genocide? Good for them.

Luckily there are only a few people in the world organizing a genocide at the moment.

  • A better question would be, "How do you offend the dead, since they are dead and can't take offense?" Your question makes absolutely no sense. In regards to the better question, I said "offend" to copy your terminology, but the proper term is "intentional disrespect"

  • The term Young Turk in today's culture has no reference to the historical Young Turks. You took offense without finding evidence that the Young Turk show wants to associate with history. On top of that, you judged who they would want to offend without considering their anti-authoritarian anti-racist stance. To get offended and to believe you could change the show's name, I hope you've realized how ignorant that was by now

  • I agree it seems like they know nothing of the Armenian Genocide or even of the Armenian people, because they are made to believe, that if they ever hear about the Armenian Genocide, that it is a tactic of propoganda used by the Armenian diaspora to smear the Turkish reputation globally and internationally.

  • According to most historians, the Young Turks were responsible for orchestrating the Armenian Genocide. This is disputed by most Turkish historians, along with a small minority of Western historians.

This fuck's show is called Young Turks. Beware Young Turks, the name of this show is about to change. Air America, for liberal airheads, will respond once shed light on this HIGHLY OFFENSIVE name.

  • Hey fucker, do YOU know what your talking about?

The Young Turks in World War 1 did kill many armenians. There was a lot of death. On BOTH sides. The Ottoman turks got killed to, and the Armenian "genocide" was more like a forced march, and less like hitlers gassing of jews in poland. The entente powers won the war, and then got to write the history books. They called out the turks, saying that only the Armenians had a genocide, and the turks just had war casualties.

  • Note that most historians disagree with your version of of the events. Think what you wish. Your quote "more like a forced march" says it all.

The name of this broadcast will change no matter what state of denial you are in. You can't stop it.

ANd beginning a message with "Hey fucker" does not suggest you are worth debating.

  • For your, sake stop taking yourself so seriously. If you just look it up in the dictionary, "Young Turk" is also political jargon for a "progressive". It doesn't mean pro-genocide, despite what the historical Young Turk party may have done

  • what if I called my show the "young german S.S"? Or how bout the "young English slave traders"-- then would it be just a name. TO you maybe.

The name of the show will change.

  • Yea get over it, it was also the nickname for a group of gansters from the 30's, I beleive included Lucky Luciano.

  • Did the gangsters orchestrate the killing of over one million people? I think not. Your analogy does not apply.

I WILL HAVE THIS SHOW'S NAME CHANGED--YOUNG TURK!

  • This guy shouldn't even be on Air America. He's about as brain dead as anyone I've seen. He could be Mr. Teen South Carolina!

  • Where is a surge protector when you need one?

  • Oh, yeah, haul those protestors out, quoting something other than the First Amendment. As soon as they start saying the word 'honor' you know the fix is in!
