Full Metal Panic is one of my favorite animes of all time because it has such a good mix of action, comedy, and a romance that's so lightly looked at directly, but so obviously there... I really wish this would get more attention, it's one of those that deserves it. The animation is beautiful, the plot's enthralling, and the voice actors well cast for their roles. I won't say it's my favorite of all time, but I'd at least put it in the top ten with the likes of FMA/B and Wolf's Rain.Thank you!

@SuperCaptainBINKY A number of anime fans in Japan want FMP to continue as well, and as you probably know the FMP Light Novel series came to a close last August with a spin-off coming out soon.

Hopefully, this means that they will in fact continue the anime series to the grand kiss. Also, it would be great for them to make another Fumoffu because there are a number of side stories that are apparently well worth animating.

@Cartoonoldies Why would it be Japan vs the US? it's set during the Cold War (Well, actually it's set during the modern day if the Cold war never ended Soviet Union never broke up, and people like whispered existed) Japan and the US were/are allies, plus it's Mithril not Japan. Who aren't affiliated with any specific government, though they appear to work for NATO.

EWWW, what did they do to the script and voices??? Kyoko's voice was spot-on though, but Sousuke sounds like a boyband member, Kurz a surfer and Melissa is way too feminine in this dub. Kaname's voice needs to be a tad lower and have more 'oomph' to it. too. Also, it's pronounced Kah-Nah-May Chee-doh-ree, not Konami Chiddory. And Funimation did such an awesome job with Shin Chan too...

@tsherwoodrzero Lol, I understand your dislikes. Mispronunciation of names is a huge pet peeve of mine as well. However, if I start watching the dub, I'll get used to the dub. Plus, I study Japanese so I can infer what their names really are. (Chee doh rlee, by the way. Japanese "r" is pronounced with a mixture of an L and an R -_^) but yeah, I get you there. Dubs normally do mess with original voices, but as long as I don't see the sub....i won't care too much

I'm just picky about voices fitting the character and role. In the original, Kurz has a "cool guy that's a bit perverted" mentality, and his voice reflects it. Not saying that Vic is a bad voice actor, far from it. He REALLY nailed Edward Elric down. In Lucky Star, Konata talks about this in greater detail. All that I'm saying is that to dub something well, you should watch a sub to get a feel for the characters, voices and how one reflects the other.
