  • The music in the back round is kinda cool... I like! =]

  • Thank you sooo much for the vid ! I have been craving these cookies for soo long and just didnt know how to make them. Min are sitting down stairs on the counter right now :p

  • These cookies know when it's not sunny, cold, or rainy. They wont set up correctly. I like to add an extra half cup of peanut butter to mine.

And....I never make it. I always lick the pot thoroughly and then eat at least one of the cookies prematurely, before they set up.

  • i made them about 2 hrs ago and eating them now

  • horray! :-)

  • my cookies are still soft,it's been a little over an hour.how long more should i wait????

  • i am not sure. did they ever harden up? it may be it's very humid where you are.

  • I like putting 1 cup chocolate chips instead of the cocoa... :)

  • hmm they would harden up faster i'd bet. :-)

  • Oh.

    My.

    Gosh.

    They look AMAZING.

I'm going to try them asap.

Btw, how many cookies do you usually get out of each batch?

  • do you think i can substitute the oat with cornflakes?

  • you totally could. they wouldn't be exactly the same, but i think they'd be pretty tasty! :-)

  • Hi I would like ot try them and surprise my husband with a new recipe; but do you keep the stove on till you are mixing the ingredients with oatmeal? or do you turn it off right after boiling the milk and coco? thanks.

  • once the choc and peanut butter mix are smooth, go ahead and take it off the burner. then add the vanilla and the oats. :-)

  • they turned out fantastic! my mom loves them! thank you soooooo much!

  • awesome! :-)

  • ok... thanks for the recipe!! i am going to make them right now!

  • your welcome!

  • do you need to have the oatmeal???

  • well....yes. you do. otherwise it would just be chocolate.... ;-)

  • weird song...other than tat...its fine i guess

  • did you try making them?

  • ok I made them last night and totally forgot to put the vanilla in! Had it out on the counter, just forgot to add it...but they came out fine anyway. The kids will be here today so I am sure they'll go quickly, thankfully since they are so good! :-)

  • mmmm they are SOOOOOO gooood! drooool! i bet you dont even miss the vanilla. you may just have to make them again ;-)

  • im gonna try this recipe on my kids.

  • how did they come out?

  • they came out great,my kids loved it.thanks for the delishouse recipe.

  • is that really only 4T of cocoa--looks like more? And doesn't look like 3C of oatmeal? But I think I'm gonna go up and try to make these while watching big brother tonite! YUM!

  • mmm yay! :-)

  • i think i'll use chocolate chips instead of outmeal......

  • lol...if you do that you'l just get mounds of chocolate. cause the chips will toootally melt on the stove...

  • @xXmarryxmeXmusicXx

    did it work still?

  • @xXmarryxmeXmusicXx

    did it work??

  • @xXmarryxmeXmusicXx That would give you pudding lol

  • @xXmarryxmeXmusicXx the chocolate chips wont absorb most of the chocolate liquid like the oatmeal does, ending in a liquidy batter. =O

  • how many ounces are there in a stick of butter plzzz ?

  • 12 ounces i belive.

  • Hey! I have this same recipe from my Mema! They are so so so good, but so sweet and I always eat the hole thing in one day so I don't make them often or I'd die of too much sugar...I didn't know that they were a popular recipe. I'd never heard of them except from Mema...

  • I have not made these since I've been married. I need to make these again. I have this same recipe and they are yummy. the only thing, I can't just eat one or two, I find myself eating the entire batch. lol

  • yeah. i have the same problem. thats why i rarely, if ever, make them :-)

  • had these damn these are sweet lol

  • lol, yeah - they are! :-)

  • can you use evaporated milk?

  • yah, id bet you could. i don't really see why not. just don't use condensed milk, without removing some of the sugar...

  • my question is what do you have the skillet on? low medium high? it seems like whenever i make these they are hard and crunchy and unedible or to soft and goey and never harder.

  • we had the skillet on medium. you don't want t burn the sugar. Good Luck! :-)

  • cool presentation!! its is worth to dl

  • thanks! :-)

  • Looks delicious! Also the music makes me get into the Halloween spirit even though its only May! HA HA! Mos def a Halloween-ish sort of treat though! Awesome!!

  • yes, they're totally perfect for halloween! :-)

  • These were really good thanks for the recipe!

  • your welcome, I am glad you liked them! :-)

  • I use to make these alot when I was a kid without the PB still they are the best thing ever

  • looks really, really good but just kinda creepy... maybe b'cause of music!

  • they're tasty! :)

  • this video scares me :{ even the song is creapy xx

  • yeah. it's a lil creepy. sorry.

  • i used this recipe the same way you made them over an hour ago and they are still not hard.. Hmmm

  • hmmm did they ever harden up for you? sometimes if humidity is high it takes a while.

  • I am gonna try your recipe cause i made some almost the same way last night and they are still gooey

  • creepy music -_- but thx for the recipe anyway i have to try it soon ^^

  • lol Thanks :-) hope you like em!

  • could i use cornflakes instead of oatmeal?

    BECAUSE i don't really like oatmeal D:

  • icygloss - i've never tried that. that might actually be pretty good! :-)

  • wow those look goooood.

thanks. i'll be sure to try them out.

  • they really are! :-) hope you enjoy them!

  • thanks. i can't wait to try them.

  • I bet everyone already has all these ingredients in their house ^_^ Great recipe

  • i hope you try them out! :-)

  • Yeay! i don't have an oven right now&tons of peanutbutter, so this will be perfect!

But can I use vegetable oil instead of butter??? Will it still work??

    Pls let me know,thax U!:)

  • :-) you could use it, but i wouldn't' really recommend it. they'll be really soft, and likely won't harden into cookies very well.

  • Thanks for the reply!

    will try thxs*

    :)

  • I really love the way you put this video together...music, voice, transitions, AND the look of your cookies. Great job!!

  • Thank you! :-)

  • yummy...sigh... I want some NOW!

  • weren't they tasty?! :-)

  • mmmmm...I could almost taste them!

  • they're soooo yummy! :-)

  • maybe one day ill make some thks

  • good idea! :-)

  • This is uncharted territory for me. If you don't bake it, is it really a cookie? Is a hardened dollop of oats really a cookie? I'm a little bit scared here, but you give me courage to try new things.

  • you do cook the sugar/cocoa milk. no need to be scared! :-) it's reaaaaly easy. just keep an eye on the stuff when it's in the pam, don't want to let it boil over, or burn ;-) i'm not sure what defines a cookie, but these are delicious, not matter WHAT cha call 'em! :-)

  • yummy

  • sooooo yummy! :-)

  • yummy--I want one! I love all the fancy new editing stuff you're doing--I'm jealous and want your software! :-)

  • *blush* thanks! :-) it's really fun to see all the neat stuff this thing can do! :-)

  • YUM! Quick and easy to make. I'll have to give them a try!

  • awesome! :-)

  • These look sooooo good! Your video creation/editing skills are so good!

  • thanks! :-) they totally are! :-)

  • looks yummy! but I'm happy with the ones I made from a mix last night :)

  • oooh what kinda of mix? :-)

  • chocolate chip

  • They sound good - but you lost me when you mentioned oatmeal :(

  • you could make them with granola, or those little crispy noodle things. :-)

  • wow i think i gained five more pounds just watchin this:D

  • lol, these are SO sweet I can't really eat more than one a time! it's kinda of good thing

  • next time you're in the grocery look for DARE cookies there from Canada and are AweSome.

  • hmmm i don't think ive ever seen that brand. what sort of cookies are they?

  • those are my hubbies favorite. I have to make them every so often. After watching this I might make some tonight. They are so good when they are warm as well with a cold glass of milk. Yummy

  • they ARE good with milk! :-)

  • That is actually really healthy if you don't think about the sugar and the butter! No preservatives, no crap. I am gunna make them for sure! Thanks darling.

  • lol yeah, i bet you could use a healthier butter alternative, and they'd be able the same. and same with the peanut butter. :-)

  • Yum - I'm gonna try that. Thanks!

  • enjoy! :-) they're super!

  • No bake? Never tried that. I WILL now.

    *licks lips.*

  • How about soaking the oatmeal in a cup of coffee lquer before adding it to the mix?

    Develish ingredient.

  • mmmm yeah. or you could use it instead of the vanilla! :-) the oatmeal could get too mushy

  • they are sooooo yummy! :-) enjoy!
