@1SkAtIn4LIfE1 You have to do things for the city first, then u can. Like quests n stuff, but my house in Solitude is way nicer I love it.

You aren't showing the house at its best, when you become Thane Of Markarth the second bedroom gets nicened up for your Huscarl.

@MissAutechre If you haven't already i would save up to about 18,000 so you could have a bit of coin after purchasing and upgrading the house

Guys u can add lighting by dropping all of ur torches at once, if done right most of them should be lit and u can place them around the house.

At first, I liked riften a lot, and didnt care for this city. Now, Ive taken a liking to this city, I like the dummer buildings, and the isolation of the town. Plus, while hunnyside is nice, its to small. The house in solitude is to big, and its daylight inside all day,the constant sunlight is blinding(ala anvil house from oblivion). I dont have any of those probs in this house, its just right, I just need to reload an old save and fix those dame weapon racks/display things!

For some reason theres no option for me to activate the display racks to place weapons on and the display cases either... anyone else experience this? And the mannequin is annoying too, I can activate that but it just glitches out and goes invisible, wtf lol. I play this on PS3 is that why?

I dont understand it though because in the house in Whiterun, I can use the display racks for weapons etc... :(

@marcelledbetter1011 lol its annoying isn't it! Cant get enough of this game though haha, I had to re load it in the end and re buy the house, now I can use everything, but the mannequin is still messed up haha. Happy Gaming!

To get it for free go to the guy you buy it from, save and equip whirlwhind sprint say you want to buy the house then use the sprint to the closest treasure box in the corner of the area were the jarl is put gold in there and then you get the key and go to the box were you stored your gold and take it

ughhh :( how do i place items on the wall like you did like shields and stuff i cant do it at all and the bookshelfs kinda fail to me :(

@haribo1202 shields and weapons have preset places you can put them. You have to equip the item you want to place and then click on the weapon or shield rack. For books you can activate the bookshelf if you stand close enough and then store them, that stands them up for you neatly rather than placing them one at a time.

@Gingerbeardish Hmm have you got this for the PC? ive done a bit of research and on the xbox i dont think you can get this feature mabye its pc only :( because there is absoloutley no option to place stuff on the wall

@haribo1202 Thats a realy crappy bug, Ive done some investigating, and I think any upgrades you buy before entering will work, but say you buy every thing but the enchanting room. You go into your house for the first time, leave, then buy the enchanting room None of the thinggs in there will work. I "sort of confirmed this" by accident.All I had enough for was the house, and bed room I got it, droped my stuff off, and left.Once I got evry thin els, the only thing that works is the one in myroom

@MasterOfTheCreed There's a glitch to not have to pay anything to get em, and get the upgrades for free as well... so I just got everything
