I agree- I have water shoes that a friend got me and I bought some Wushu shoes used in martial arts. In this Internet age the shoe companies should know that we do our research online before buying shoes. It takes about two seconds to realize that if you are barefoot running, there is no need to spend a ton of money on shoes anymore! Drop these minimalist shoes down to $35 and I'll reconsider.
I also run in $10 water shoes and agree with the person below that I am never going to pay $100 for a stripped down shoe, or any running shoe. Those days are over! I have been buying New Balance shoes for 30 years and they have an an overpriced minimus line. Give me a stylish zero drop shoe with tough sole and well stitched upper for about $35 and you will get my business back. So its cheap aqua shoes or home made huraches until you stop screwing us on price. Got it shoe companies?
I wouldn't have bought these shoes if I had to pay anywhere near $100 - but I paid approximately £35, which is $50, $55, (dependent on conversion) - because of a site in the UK that were doing a special offer - they're great racing shoes, different to the Vivo Barefoot, and the Vibram fivefingers, and even Nike's "Free" 3.0 - but since I'd now have to pay £50 (over $80) for these shoes, (they've gone up in price here) - I'm having second thoughts about a second pair.
this is so stupid. What does this cost a hundred dollars? Give me a break. These minimalist shoes have nothing to them and they cost a fortune. I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices. I'll stick to aqua socks until these companies stop price gouging.
