honestly i really liked this for a movie, though i do agree that it would have worked better if it let the person use their own imaganation more often, the fact that it held that feeling of hopelessness and the whole psychological aspect of it still make a horrorr movie i go back and watch on a regular basis, as well as still being scared from XD

this is the only horror film i didnt maek it through. i was 16 at the time...so a bit young, but something about the criminally insane just really freaked me out. it was all too unnatural. we switched it off just after the girl in the water tank becomes the demon at 3:25 that was when we all decided to turn it off :) we were so pussy.

Eddie is eaten up, Sara and Watson get out, the steel plate shuts on Watson's shoe, he gets his foot out. Come morning, the story is on "Terrifying but True", hosted by Christopher Lee. Police, ambulances and fire engines come up to the institute and rescue them. Watson explains the story, the paramedics bring out several large body bags and several small bags. Then the footage shown at the end of the credits is seen, and Watson ends the movie with: "The house won't stop until it has everyone".

The first time I watched this I was about 9 and it scared the living **** out of me.. I watched it for the first time in 7 years yesterday..it still gives me the shivers. that machine had those spinning images and played crazy sounds to the patient inside. the Dr who made it went on the theory that something that could drive a sane man insane could be used to make an insane man sane again.... hence why the guy starts having crazy visions while in there, his decent into madness ^^

This movie was completely amazing. I loved the pyschological horror that was installed. It was refreshing to see something besides a plot where there's a murderer and a house with victims. Although I did not find this bone-chillingly scary, it was very insanely horrific. I only wish the sequel could have been as good, or not made at all.

Love the film, think it's one of the best - up there with Fight Club for sure. Some of the scenes arn't really too good because of the things that are in them, but are good because fo the camera angles and stuff. It's also the actors in the film which make it priceless; especially the character of Steven Price (Geoffrey Rush) which is just amazingly funny how he reminds you of Vincent Price.

do you no at the end of the film they cut out a scene where you can watch in the deleted scenes, and it shows Jenifer Jenzen the woman who was supposed to be invited but sara went instead roll up to the hounted house in a car with an estate agent which tells her the house is hers so she goes inside and we hear her scream and the camera focuses on the estate agent as he turns around, and its Dr Vannacutt lol
