Do you happen to know what else is on Level 1 other than the toilets? Or is there also a parking level there?
I remember going to a place called ST George's in Gravesend which had a multi-storey car park and shops above(at street level). You had to take the car park lifts or stairs one floor down to access the toilets. Anyone ever been to this place?
Level 1 is only the toilets and a Creche. Some of the shops have upper sales floors which would technically be on Level 1, but are only accessable from within the shops themseleves. Parking is only on levels 2 and 3.
The Car Park is also accessable from Debenhams which is nearly opposite these lifts. These are also a pair of Otis 2000's, without the glass doors though. The Car Park levels are labeled as P1 and P2 in the Debenhams lifts. I shall try to film them next time i'm in MK.
Out of interest, are there stairs or escalators between the centre and the car park and if so would these be located in the main mall or in Debenhams(or are they in both).
In the High Cross Shopping Centre in Leicester(formally The Shires),access between the car park and the centre is mainly by lift or you can use the escalators inside Debenhams. The other end of the car park is lift access only as the stairs are for staff/emergency use only.
The glass doors are very nice. There are some Gen2's in Bristol Cabot Circus which have similar doors, but they plaster adverts on them which I think ruins them.
Land securities is the biggest property owner in the UK. Its portfolio is Huge and includes many chains of shopping centres offices and even the lights at piccadilly Circus. It tends to use Otis and Kone as its main lift installer.
And they have the worst security guards in the world. They catch you with a camera, even using it on PUBLIC GROUND near thir property and they think its terrorism and they try to remove your camera.
Nice Elevator! But I this bit strange out there moment.
