Great video! You did a great job. Steve is awesome. These clips bring back memories. Hope you got a god grade for this you deserved one. Thx for posting.
my father taught himself to play this song for my high school graduation party, then played it and sang it to me at the party. It was also the father-daughter dance at my wedding. I love this song!!
This song can be utilized as awesome fishing fuel if you listen to it early in the morning right before you hit the lake, plus, it leaves a pleasant tune in your head the rest of the day.
I agree with keefer2111. How does it get any better than this? If singing so great was illegal Steve would be in prison for life. Just like the guy about Hank Williams said "he sounds like Alfalfa of the little rascals". GEEZ! They both sing with so much feeling it's chilling. Is it possible people come on You Tube just to be troll troublemakers? Thumbs down for Steve Wariner? Yeah sure.
Thank you rlitt99 for posting this song. I guess there are still many great Americans out here. I just can't totally believe everyone is of the hollywood and political elitists cut of cloth! I know there still of millions of Good Americans out there. Gosh it almost seems like misplaced Faith to think there are still loyal moral and common sense Americans left "out there". watching hwood, tv and the same DEPRESSING. But when u 4get hwood and tv and look at the "REAL"pipo then there's hope.
Maxcactus right on brother! Well written and performed with Heart! What happened to country musid? What happend to this country? Man where are all the good pipo...singers...actors/actresses....strong positive political leaders....strong Christain Church leaders/pipo...where did these folks go? How did they all get replaced by the "2nd revolution" folks of the 1960s. Those idiots of the sixties are back again...we're reliving the 60s again. I want America back! God bless our USA.
This song was co-written by Roger Murrah and Richard Leigh. Roger was also the co-writer of "Don't Rock The Jukebox". Richard wrote "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue". I'd like for someone to have this played at my funeral service once I've passed on as this is a positive song that reflects life's journey from beginning to end. It sounds like Jerry Douglas on the dobro but don't remember if he was on this session or not. This is my all time favorite Steve Wariner recording.
I really love your video. I was always sad when Steve didn't put out an original video for this song at the time. I'll always love this song. It'll always be one of my favorites by him. He has always seemed overlooked by the Country seen. Though he has won awards- back than I don't think he had. I love your video. Thanks so much for sharing it. I saved it. I don't think Steve wrote this song but I love it just the same. Thanks so much again. Steve is great & classy. Great words in this song!!
This is one of my favorite songs by Steve. Steve is just a all around nice guy with great talent. One of Nashville's finest guitar pickers. Thanks to Chet Atkins for the part he played in bringing Steve to the forefront of country music. Special thanks to rlitt99 for this superb video.
rlitt this has to be the unofficial video for this song. everytime i get in the mood to hear this song i always come to this video. a superb job indeed!

THANKS so much for posting this!! You did a wonderful job on the video. I've loved this man for over 25 years and I miss seeing him perform live. I wish digital cameras were popular when I was going to see him. I think I would have taped every song he sang.
As soon as the first note is played it makes me want to move......Absolutely love this one and never tire of it. It hits a cord somewhere way down deep.......Thanks for this!!
I sincerely thank you for posting this. I too have a ton of old VHS tapes - All Steve Wariner. My husband doesn't care for me having them and has recorded over some of them! But I'll have to try and go through them and see what I can come up with. NICE JOB. I have traveled as far as 4 states away by car to see this man live. Always worth it!
I didn't get around to this on the last comment, but this video's wonderful. I think it's better than what could've been when the song was new. Back then, the visual might have been about someone else's "highway"...instead, here we see Steve himself going down that highway, and going down it with grace, charm, and good humor. Thank you for matching this beautiful song with a knockout montage of a great singer/songwriter/musician's life thus far.
Steve was always a good singer in the Glen Campbell vein- honest, tuneful, and sincere...but in the mid 80s when Jimmy Bowen let him take off and start being the total musician he was capable of being and encouraged Steve to take more control of the music...wow! This song came out around 1987 or so, right around the time that Steve was really beginning to kick things up a notch, music-wise. My favorite Wariner song, although "Baby I'm Yours" is a close second!
i remember seeing him open for the judd's 1987 at riverbend cincinnati ohio. the wind was blowing through the pavillion when he sang this, it was just a perfect moment.
This is the song that introduced me to Steve's music back when I was in high school. I've been fortunate enough to catch several of his performances. I especially enjoyed when his brother Terry used to tour with him.
Steve is one of those rare artists... whose songs transcend country and pop.He is well liked by fans of both genre. Not long ago,his 'Love,me' did very well in both Country and Pop charts.
This song came to my mind while driving from Pennsylvania back to Yakima, WA. There is places I never dreamed could be so beautiful that were so flat! What a wonderful experience. If I could make that trip again, I'd play this song the whole way,(mostly) lol.
I think Steve Wariner is a pretty good singer. I remember him never really fitting in at any decade. Also I don't like that smile at 3.15 it is kind of creepy.
Thanks for posting. This is great work. I'm gonna tell my age, but I remember the first time I ever saw Steve Wariner. It was on the old Porter Wagoner TV show and Steve performed 'All Roads Lead to You'. Thanks for taking me down memory lane...

This is is a very wonderful thing you have done. Has Steve seen this? Steve is one of the most talented and underrated music artists in the world. He is also one of the nicest guys I have ever met in my life. Thanks for sharing this with us.
