oklahoma sucks that citys dead by 3 pm its a police state oklahoma expects u to be in by 9 pm if u are on streets cops fuck with u 100 percent u going to jail cause they charge u now for being in jail, potholes everywhere trash everywhere home of meth houses only state if u get caught with a joint they try to give u 10 years after they threaten to take kids ect... beware u wanna remain trouble free stay out of oklahoma or u will become a felon 1 out of 8 people are felons somethings very wrong
@MrBloodyTampons--The only reason you would say that is one of two things- either you had a bad experience, or you have a motive for misinforming anyone who stumbles upon your message. Everything you said is not true. I have lived in okc almost all my life (nyc for 2 years) and ive traveled all around the world so i feel i can give an unbiased view. Sorry your life sucks.
You want to see the real Midwest cities like OKC and Dallas?
You are 40 years too late.
A disgusting place today for anyone on crystal meth, crack, and hard weed. All Midwest cities are like that. The junkies and lowlifes who were kicked out of New Jersey,New York,Los Angeles, etc move there polluting the Midwest cities.
oklahoma is the easieest place the drive, the people are friendly, when you need to switch into lanes ppl will let u in. unlike dallas, vegas, other cities ive been to, you have to be agressive driver to live there.
Exit Penn/Agnew (2.13) is where i had to get off to get to the house of my brother (38NW street). I was over there in march 2010 from Belgium europe to visit my brother and his wife. Loved the place, Loved the people. OKC rocks !
Oh jeez.. It's so weird to see this on youtube because I travel these streets ALL THE TIME!
It's easy to drive, easy to breath, and easy to make friends, no matter who you are!
We have basically EVERYTHING here. Mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, deserts, forests, Indian territories, a pan-handle, city, country, suburb, modern buildings, old buildings, celebrities, animals, Republicans, Democrats, top-of-the-line medical research, research in general, housing prices, you name it, YOU GOT IT! :D
I think the radio should have a station were its only oklahoma ppl on there (Hip Hop & RnB, PoP)... THEY SHOULD HAVE A CUSSIN STATION AND A NONCUSSIN STATION!!! THEY SHOULD HAVE A TV CHANNEL. THAT SHOWS VIDEOS, REALITY SHOWS AND JUST THE REALNESS OF OKLAHOMA AS FAR THE HOODS. MAYBE ONE DAY OPEN THE CLUB UP FOR FREE AND SELL BBQ/OTHER FOODS AND JUST KICK IT... BUT ALWAYS HAVE IT ON VIDEO. EVERYTHING THAT CRACKS OFF...
blimey,... by the looks of it you must be totally busted when you don´t own a car in Oklahoma City... it looks pretty spacious! must take ages from a to b...
Ok...I admit, the infrastucture is mostly pretty well planned in the States. At least I had the impression. But I have to say, that can be pretty confusing at times for a European! ;-) Thanks for your reply! Greets
I think the guy that commented on your post misunderstood what you were saying. Yes in Oklahoma City you need to have a Vehicle. It is one of the largest cities in the U.S land wise and the public transport is not that great. He is right by saying you can get from one side to the other in 30 min but that is only with a vehicle.
Lol I can remember trying to get from the Edmond/OKC border down to the south side of OKC and it taking as long as 45 minutes lol. Stupid traffic.
Public transportation downright sucks and there are almost no sidewalks (unless you're downtown or in Bricktown). Will still miss it after being there for almost six years. :)
Why were you walking anywhere? It takes 15 min to get from one side of the city to the other in one of the largest cities land wise in the US. I still think you are making shit up for no reason. If you are to poor to buy a car then that isn't the cities fault.
I have the feeling that no matter what I say you're always going to counter with something stupid so this is my last time replying.
I own a pretty nice car in fact. I have a fantastic job that pays me well. However, why should I have to drive everywhere? Have you ever just walked? It's fantastic, you should try it some time. (It's not just for poor people.)
And it took me 20 minutes to drive to work everyday alone, and it wasn't even at opposite ends of the city.
I lived there for about 3 years in the intersection of Meridian Ave and 39th Street. Its a very nice city and I have very fond memories of that city. Go SOONERS GO
BOOMER SOONER, BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER, BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER, BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONERRR, GO OKU!!! I'm Sooner born, I'm Sooner bred, and when I die I'm Sooner DEAD! ;D Rock Oklahoma! Rock Oklahoma Rock OKLAAHHHOOOMMMAAAA!!! OKU! :D That song gives me the chills! lol.
HAH!!! you clown....honestly how bad can it be??? you think its bad there??? you my friend have not driven in Boston!!! try getting to work on I-95 or 1-93 from 6am to 9am or from 4pm to 6pm!!!! come do that drive and then tell me the traffic is bad in oklahoma city!!!! :P
I'm a clown because I corrected him and said 2 highways in OKC get major congestion during rush hour? Strange.
But to answer your question. It can get pretty bad in OKC, believe it or not. And also, I actually HAVE been to Boston before. And yes, the traffic there is ridiculous. It takes forever to get through the new tunnel at peak hours.
The video was not made to show the traffic in Oklahoma City. I have lived in Los Angeles by the way and would rather be in Oklahoma any day. LA is a shit hole.
I was a tourist to OKC from Australia and I have to agree with you. I've traveled extensively throughout the USA and OKC I found to be one of the most inviting cities I've ever been too. The people were down right friendly, helpful, easy place to get around, it's laid back and inexpensive. Compared to LA, OKC is better. If I had to live anywhere in the US, it would be OKC
@dharper26 uhh yea lol but dont let Oklahoma fool you....hop on I-35 south at 5pm o.0 its a nightmare sometimes! but i think New Jersey drivers are by far the worst drivers i have ever seen!!

@matthewmttyd I never said it took 15 min to walk. Takes 15 to drive because of the lack of traffic.

Not really, you can pretty much get from one end of town to the other within 30 mins. The highways are hardly ever crowded.

Hi,
I already thought he meant just that by posting. But thx 4 your reply too. I think I got the picture.
And public transport ain´t all that good?
What a shame. You´d expect just that in such a big city. But havin a car in our todays society is essential. Sad enough.

@AwsumSaus Everything you said is false Have you ever actually lived in OKC?
dharper26 1 year ago
No....those six years were all a dream....
Alright, maybe I was exaggerating on the '45 minute' thing....it does take forever to get around though.
And whenever I walked somewhere I was always walking on grass. They don't promote pedestrian traffic in many parts of the metro.
That's part of the reason why it was voted 2nd fattest city in 2009.
