  • What about tuning? How did you go about tuning the carbs?

  • Great bike. How do you like the raask rear sets? is the foot position comfortable? where did you get them from and for how much?

I am about to order some online from Omar's rearsets for my 78 kz650. I haven't been able to find out much about them from people with first hand experience.

    Thanks

  • Did you hook a mechanical speedometer cable to that digital one?

  • I just picked up a 77 kz 650, I have many many quesitons about this build, where did you get the rear sets and does the kickstart still work with them?

  • @ShafterRod I believe those are raask rearsets. You can order them from Omar's rearsets online.

They are 340 USD shipped from Omar's

  • That headlight is awesome! Where do you find that item?

  • how did you do the tank? Great bike.

  • Hey just a question...how did you run the tach to the gauge. I have a 77 kz100 that I am cafeing and I wanted to use an acewell gauge but I'm not sure how the tach will work.

  • i love your bike its beautiful!!!

  • this bike is art!

  • man this is one of the shapest looking kz650's i've seen. id love to show you what mine looks like and see what you think of it

  • By far the best looking KZ I have ever seen. FANTASTIC!

  • I love this bike. Where did you manage to find brown hand grips? I have been looking around the internet for weeks and can't find any.

  • DEUS EX MACHINA its a caferacer, bicycle, apparel shop in Australia (mostly SR400's) and they get them from some place in Japan.

  • I notice you put on the air filters, did you have to re-jet the carbs? If so, where were you able to find a good jet kit that worked on this application? Very clean bike. thanks.

  • With pods and a 4 into 1 exhaust I most def. had to rejet the carbs. If memory serves I picked up the rejet kit from Z1 enterprises. I purchased most the the parts for this bike from that website;.

  • wow, great job, i just started tearing down my 79 kz650, you have deff given me some great ideas!! props!!!!

  • what seat do you have and where did you get it... it looks great

  • very nice bike, at first glance i thought "year and a half build, yeah right" but upon seeing all the details man....

wow. amazing bike dude. my chopper is a big hunk a shit, but damned if i dont love the goofy thing.

  • very nice bike, good work

  • mind a "rude" question? about how much did you drop into the rebuild overall? i only ask because im about $300 into my kz and paid $1000 for it in good condition. not a total rebuild but some serious mods. thanks if you choose to respond, your 650 is the nicest one ive seen

  • nice bousouzoku sticker lol.

  • How did you shine up the engine block? Just take the wire wheel to it? Or is there a strong solvent to clean the dirt off?

  • i'm looking to get an acewell for my cb750 also. how do you hook up the tach? do you just plug it in? or would you have to cut some wires to make it work? love the bike. definitely one of my fav.

  • the tach uses a single wire that goes to one of the ignition coils, you then set the computer to look for a 2,3, or 4 cylinder engine. the directions that come with the unit spell it out pretty well.

  • A really nice bike!!!

May I ask where you bought the "Clip On Handlebars"?(I hope it's through a web-shop) I would like to get a hold of excactly the same...

  • Hi fantastic bike. What did you do to the handle bars and lights they look great. Im in the process of rebuilding one here in Oz.. Keep on riding....

  • Thanks, DEUS ex machina rocks, thats where I got the hand grips

  • Looks as nice as something Deus would make. Really great work.

  • i will soon be getting a 76 kz400 as my first bike.

my friend is going to help me with it ( cause im a noob ) ..if we get it to look half this good i will be a very happy S-O-B...lol...great vid / bike

  • As easy as installing a car stereo. I found that the wiring diagram was wrong concerning the oil light. It shows it going to ground but its really looking for power. So I had to wire in a relay to correct this. Acewell did not give an explaination. I opted to use a magnet for my odometer, jb welded it to the front rim, then routed the pick-up under the front fender out of site. works great and is very accurate because you can measure the outside of your tire and enter it into the computer.

  • My gosh! and mine took two years to build...

I really love what you did to every detail of this racer, the white wall tyres and gold paint on the drum brake are amazing.

Funny thing I was going to use Acewell's gauge for my current project, Are they accurate and easy to install?

  • Where'd you get the rims? Beautiful bike.

  • "Acewell" is the name of the instrument cluster.

  • where did u get the speedometer??? i'm rebuilding one also

  • honestly

the most beautiful café I've seen in a long time

    and I've seen a lot

  • Awesome Bike!
