  • case greate but a place for hard drive not cooling right , have idea?

  • Wait a minute, no fan blowing on the harddrives?

  • do I need to use low profile graphic card on this or I can use any type of graphic card will do. since it's a small form I am not sure if those high end gfix card will fit in. =(

  • @Alacurd Just about anything will fit.

  • mac is just a toy

  • ^^ I've got one. great but XD big

  • fuck macs

  • mac pro still looks better but for a pc case this is very nice, i might actually buy this

  • i wish these ads would fuck off

  • verry nice pc case

only i wish that the case have a side windows and black inside

    (sorry for my bad english)

3DGAMEMAN you ar the best !

  • Any good suggestion for a case where I can pop in 2 PSUes?

  • @Hokrollo1 coolermaster 932 but i dont know why u need more than one PSU unless ur running as a workstation/server

  • I don't get it. Its a good looking case, but its basically the mac idea of making something that nobody will ever see look good regardless of functionality. It has almost no cooling to speak of. I would much rather get a 1200 of DF-85 to this. They may not look as good or fancy, but they are cheaper and have allot more cooling.

  • @HDaviator I thought due to the lack of intake fans the case would be crap for cooling, but it's surprisingly good from what I've read due to the position of the exhaust fans.

  • this case looks amazing

  • i wish i woulda saw this case before i bought the thermaltake spedo it looks nice

  • but if i touch that hot swap , when i gaming on the PC , can i lock it so, so it don't open?

  • is it just me or does he give every case a kickass rating?

  • wuts the blue case with yellow zalman logo?

  • hey rodney pls review this case Zalman MS1000-HS2

  • Antec 1200 takes a shit on this piece of crap.

  • @MrDevlance 800D fucks 1200's mother and forces its children into a sewer, where more shitty antec products are produced.. lol im sorry for trolling ;( <3

  • @Intel1502 You should be sorry for being dumb not for trolling.

I a mate of mine has this case and I have a 1200 and I get much better cooling for everything than this case.

I also love how the 1200 looks much more than this one.

    So sorry.

  • @MrDevlance this case is shit... agreed.. i didnt say it was good, read my comment before you type, dumbcunt. I was talking of the corsair 800D

  • @MrDevlance No reply? cool... So sorry I hurt your feelings < \ 3

  • @Intel1502 I don't live on youtube like you apparently do.

The only way to hurt my feelings is if you do a sloppy job at sucking my dick ;)

Sorry for the late reply, I was busy having a life outside of youtube.

  • @MrDevlance lol.. i come back 3 hours later and noreply. Your obviously mad you've made yourself look like a dick by not reading my comment properly. oh and no, in the case i wont mess with your feelings ... ever...

  • The hot-swap sistem is great :D

  • this case seems way too overpriced, id much rather go with a thermaltake case, or the HAF 932

  • This seems a very good presentation - thanks

I completed my build (GS1000 = $158) and took note of your comment, needs front fan options for improved cooling. I agree & miss this option.

But just to update, Im running i7 920 on P6T, 2 crossfire 5750 GPU and 5 drives. Mostly video editing, no gaming yet (so no overclocking). I added the additional fan options, 1 to the top, another to the bottom.

Happily, at this point I've not seen a temp above 39c

Its a very well made, good looking case.

  • almost a carbon copy of the corsair obsidian.... you guys know i dont mean the colour and all that stuff...

  • even though this came out before the corsair obsidian....

  • you can always add filters but one big problem is that there are no fans in front of the hard drive fans so if you want hdds that run hot dont get this case

  • @sbvikings30 - You can get the Zalman GS 1000 Plus, the 'Plus Case' has fans in front of the HDDs.

  • Ive had this case for 3 months now its a peace of good looking crap. its badly designed dust comes in from the top enters bottom it enters your power supply my psu blew have to get new one and the my 3x wd 7200rpm Hard drives at bottom started to make burning smell the PCB badly designed causes short circuits in system danger dont buy it im changing mine for something better!

  • how can dust come in from the top.. you have your fans exhausting out the top.. also theres no room for dust to get thru the tiny gaps at the top? you must of configured it wrong

  • @piaforever1 Ive had this case for over a year now and i haven't got any problems with dust i clean the case about 2 times each month :/

  • DAmn i would have buyed this if it had a hole in the mobo tray to install backplates

  • cut one youself, its not hard.

  • Im buying The GS1000 Titanium or the Silverstone Raven

  • the cable managment options are really great

  • @bsmeets87

    Yes you are.

  • I want this, but I'm worried about the cooling-ness. what do you think?

The main reason I'm interested in this is the hot-swappable drive system @__@ I could certainly take advantage of that

  • i was gunna buy this because i thought it had good air supply and had 2 fans at the front, knowing its easy routes to hard drives its not for me. i think this case is for the people who like to do alot of digital media where your pc doesnt get as hot as gamers or extreme overclockers

  • Rodney Reynolds = Awesome Legend

these videos are so helpful i hate just looking at a picture of something i want to buy without know what it does

    keep em coming Rodney

  • I would have jizzed in my pants, looking at this if it is available in all silver aluminum color.... no side window/fan, no front intake fan = fail

  • It´s time for me to upgrade or buy a new PC and to begin with i was looking for a nice case..been looking on some webstores but noone that i liked until i found this one.well not so many pics on it on zalmans webpage so i looked here at youtube and found this review.Very nice review that made my thoughts clear It´s a must buy! so ill order it today.Thanx for the Review and continue with the good work...:)

  • i would suggest a siverstone or thermaltake product

  • wait those 2 panel with 3 socket in each one of them, how they work? so i install more hard drive in to so i have more memory? or is that just a place for me to put the hard drive? i how get those extra slot on how they work

  • that case can actually support 6x 12cm fans. if you only use 3 hard drives you can remove the bays at the bottom to add an addional fan.

  • Does the bottom optional fan has dust filters?

  • no it doesnt

  • Comment removed

  • its only 169.99 :P

  • just over £100

  • i noticed that the top 3 hardrive swap doesnt have back plate inside. does this mean wires will be sticking out when you pull it??

  • man you should had show us the way of opening top panel...

  • can someone explain to me what the swapable drives mean? does it mean that the drives would be like hooking up a mass storage device?

  • yup

  • this case has reset button?

  • i dont know, im pretty sure it doesent

    fail case!

  • LoL, it is..my friend bought it for me to build a computer into and its a fail case..It's a cop off of the Cosmos S..but a failure..the feel leave a black mark on my desks and work tables. the only good think is the hotswap.

  • I am going to buy this case and add a 80mm fan on the front if possible..might ruin the clean look but added air :)

  • My case has better ventilation for sure it mid tower so water cooling is limited

  • lol it looks like a mac pro case. think of it as mac pro for the pc :))but a million times better than the mac pro because its upgradable, better cooling options, windows for gamers!! and HOT SWAPBLE DRIVE!!!!!!!!

  • agreed

  • i think mac pro is fuck ugly compared to this

  • Defianetly the Lian li v2000 is Pc's mac pro case

  • fuck mac

  • wooot!!!!

  • its so funny if you look at a case and think "i wonder what i looks like inside you put it into youtube" and good old rodneys got a video for ya! =]

  • Cool looking case but with not air coming from the front its ussless for a good gaming rig.

  • it is actually pretty good for a good gaming rig although it does not seem like it.

  • you can mod it in 1 hard drive cage bay

  • it has x box 360 styling ques i wonder how those hdd trays would work with ssd drives

  • eh... 2 fans??? the antec 1200 is much better.. like 5 fans or something

  • depends on what you like i guess

  • i prefer air suckers from the front of the case...anyway looks good

  • i bought this case awaiting delivery :D along with 4870x2 and a 1000watt corsair 6+8 rail

  • i got a 4870x2 with a 1000w coolermaster (4x6pin+2x8pin) I got it cuz i heard it was small and i dont know if a large one would fit, so its safer :P.

  • i actually also got the cooler master 1000 watt , it is a normal atx size one and its fine,

  • Its a normal size one, schweet. Mine arrives tomorrow. Thnx for the info.

  • to be honest the case could support the very long ones , and the fan would still not be in the way( fan at bottom of the case ) altho my PSU is modular , cable management is still hard, i might make a video of my new build sometime

  • how is the Zalman GS1000. whats ur set up. can a 1000w psu fit and 2 9800gx2 or 3 gtx280? thanks

  • I don't have the zalman gs1000. A 1000w should handle it yes. My set up is: Cpu: intel qx9650 Cpu cooler: cnps9500 Gpu:HIS ati 4870x2 Ram:4gb ddr2 OCZ platinum 1066mhz pc2-8500 Mobo: Asus maximus formula x38 HD: 2xhitachi 500gb Dvd drives: 2x Lite-On 20x drives Case: Jeantech aqua butterfly atx case Psu: Coolermaster m1000 (1000w) Monitor: Acer p243w OS: Vista ultimate 32bit Sound: Supreme fx11 card, 2.1 jbl creature speakers, Cyborg 5.1 heady cyborg mouse+merc key
  • nice build. i got the info i was looking 4 thanks.

  • oh i think i read a part of it wrong lol. If you mean will those parts fit in that case then the answer is yes anyway.

  • i have this case and i like it very much , sure some parts of very plastic like , but u know itll never break easily , hotswap is nice and loads of room and cooling is still good for my q6600 and 4870x2 even tho it has no front fans

  • I guess this would be a nice case if your water cooling it.

  • I just love to watch your videos, such a good job and so easy to understand what you saying and trying to explain... Brilliant! :)

    5*

  • Wow .. amazing case. Great review Rodney

  • Thanks Rodney, certainly worth considering for future upgrades!

  • does not support newbs like me lol

  • Wow, nice case. But it doesn't support itx mobo ;(

Still - reaaaaaaaaly good looking and well made case.

  • hey 3dgameman,

are the creative inspire t6100 speakers a good setup? Is there anything comparable that is not logitech and has more wattage per channel ( rms)?

  • it's good.

    it's zalman!

  • love the new starting music!!

  • love the new starting music!!

  • Excellent anti vibration system, everywhere are rubber, but doesnt look like dust filter provided...too many entrance for dust!!!

  • haha 2:05 "LINE IT UP!"

  • This would be the best case ever if you put in a side panel window and remove one of the hard-drive cages for a 120mm fan. and put millions of LED's for the lulz

  • He sounded frustrated when he was installing the hard drives i would laugh so mush if he picked up the case and flung it at the wall screaming haha =D

  • you amputated my baby!

  • That's a slick case! I love Zalman products

  • that huge fan at the back and one at the top is all you need, the case design has ventilation holes on the front drive bay and at the front bottm hard drive bays, i think it was designed that way with the vents so that there isnt a need for an incoming fan

  • KICK! ASS!

  • i love this case. might be buying this. hehe.

  • I think you need a different rating system

  • I'm buying this.

  • this dudes awesome i find it funny how he always smiles while moving his head when he is talking if you knwo what i mean its kinda weird,.,,,,,,but i enjoy his videos

  • I can't help but feel that the side pannel is a complete waste. Why not have cooling there? One huge fan, or at least one smaller one. Ever since I got my Tagan case with a 36cm fan on the side, other cases just don't do it for me...and this one costs double too. I do love the hard drive connections though.

  • really cool

  • this is a bad ass case

  • I was really excited to see this case but I'm a bit dissapointed with the lack of hard drive cooling

  • this case cost 199$ on newegg

  • pretty cool case

  • wow... harddrive install is amazing.

  • Come on Rodney...one second you say the case lacks good ventilation cause it needs more fans in the front and in the next breath your giving it a high rating.....which is it?

  • get a LITTLE bit independent, you use your own judgement to say whether its good or not.

  • its lacking fans in the front and so what?? the case is still good none the less.

  • Damn, that's one innovative and sexy case. Price is not too bad for what you get.

  • Very nice. The hard drive installation is very innovative.

  • Seems like all these high quality cases forgot how to make the slide out tray for motherboard with cards attached. My Lian-Li does it but its outdated. Yet this feature keeps me hanging on to it because I love being able to slide it all out to work on.

  • looks ugly

  • It doesn't have side-panels...The HS-HDD's are nice,and the PSU mounting isn't bad...I would still prefer a RaidMax Smilidon simply for the heavy-weight steel,nice illumination(LEDS),and of course 4 fans.However,shipping is a bitch.

  • best case 4 under 150. antec 900.. under 200: coolermaster Cosmos 1000. IMO.

  • antec 900 is only 110dollars.

  • i think its even lower now. if thats not the 300 i'm thinking of :P

  • ya. it's 99 now but still the best choice for under 150.

  • I thought this would be another $500 zalman case but it's only around $160. Really not bad for a full tower, let alone a nice zalman with aluminium panels. Only thing I didn't like was the HD bays. What's the point of being able to pull them out the front when you have to unplug them from inside first?

  • Niceeee

  • Nice case, but as you say. Looks lika poor air flow AND no filters :-/

  • its a nice case but if your looking for a full tower bohemoth try the cooler master cosmos 1000 case super quiet and plenty of room as well as it comes with 4 120 mm fans and the mounting bracket for a 5th 120 mm fan

  • nice case and nice rewiev as always :D

  • Antec P182? lmao what a joke of a tower lian li do things far b4 anyone else does and much better quality

  • The only thing I'd buy it for is that it has tool-less HDD installation and the pre set SATA and Molex connecters in the back.

  • lol wen he said that it had bad air circulation i was like WHAT! IT HAS PERFECT CIRCULATION... then realized none in the front :( but that is an epic case for $150

  • no dust filters?

  • u can buy them at like radioshack or whereever. or newegg xD

  • lmao everyones tring to copy lian li now

  • Everyone is trying to copy Antec P182

  • haha yep! i love my p182 and have yet to find a case as solid.

  • sweet case, needs a window:(

  • if i did reviews i would never think of those little things like the rubber to explain.

    Great job Rodney!

  • It's a nice case but what I would really like is a professional case that has a handle on the top! I wish companies like Thermaltake or Antec would make something like that.

  • This case has some great design but it could have looked better and less cheap, plus a window would be much better.

  • too much plastic, plus its really ugly.

i'd rather get a lian li in the price range.

  • a window isn't necessarily an advantage

  • nice case but some people prefer cases with windows on the side

  • not bad but the thermaltake armor+ is still bettery looking and has more features like better airflow, sidewindow, easy watercooling mounts and lots more!

  • I miss the bloopers too.

  • that was a kickass review, rod where are your bloopers lol

  • i like the improved airflow view!

  • one if the best !

  • looks cheap
