  • 11 ungrateful mofo's

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN YOU HELP A TON

  • thanks mate good one

  • wheres a good place to get samples/loops online?

  • @ThtOneAsianKid Find them in your mp3 folder...sample what you have, you'd be surprised at the stuff you can come up with.

  • @ThtOneAsianKid Depends on the sound you're looking for. If you're not into sampling, you will need some kind of instrument kits to get started. Drums of course to start with. Just google free drum kits or free hip hop sounds or whatever it is you're looking for. Also be prepared to spend some money. It's an expensive hobby and if you're serious about it, it could cost a few dollars before it's all said and done. Good luck!

  • Very helpfull and inpiring

  • idk why this reminds me of walking a dog lol nice tutorial!!

  • No slicer!? damn you demo version!

  • can someone tell me how to get samples on FL Studio? do you just DL it online or is there a way to take it from a music library or something please respond and check my page too, young nigga grindin' real talk

  • nice tutorial man, Your help me out alot, this is my first tutorial ever

  • thanks alot nfx

  • please can you tell me how you started recording when you were playing the notes of the sample you wanted

  • I'm glad that your tutorials are longer. Wanna know why? Because you actually go into detail about what you're talking about, unlike most tutorials out there that show you what to do without explaining anything. Props to you man!

  • Love you.

  • This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for, for AGES! At last, thanks a lot!

  • thaaaaaanks alot i learn more than 1 video from u than 1 year practicing alone

  • good stuff

i used to use fl slicer with complete tracks and it would sound just ok

so i wanna thank you for pointing out that it's better the take a loop and then load it on slicer

  • Yo, I learned everything I know watching your tutuorials. I would love to hear your opinion of my style. Thanks for such a good service. I recommend you to everyone who is starting with FL Studio. WARBEATS BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why is it that everytime I add the song to the sample the screen from the bottom of the fruity slicer is red ??

  • @JAYCZero You gotta loop it first, I had the same problem But I managed to loop the song and then it went into the Fruity slicer correctly

  • Good tutorial!

If you want to hear a really mind-blowing chopping, listen to "Surgical Gloves" by Raekwon.

The Alchemist sampled "Castle Walls" by Styx, and totally changed it! one of the best beats!

  • lol.. Well, I would just push the whole file in automation section and manually slice away.. This is waaaay easier! :) Thanks for the tutorial! Will definitely be checking out some more of your vids! ;)

  • learnd so mutch, ty

  • Excellent tutorial. I was chopping samples the long way (manually going thru Edison and cutting out desired clips) but now I can just use FL Slicer...thanks alot homie. If I become a famous producer, you shall not be forgotten, my friend.

  • is there a way to export the chop's that i made in edison or slicex directly to the fpc pad without the drag and drop..i mean if is there a way to automatic export the chop's that i just made in edison pls..pls tell me is there is a way...

  • how do i quantize???????????????? HELP

  • My God! What is that amazing sample you flip at 10:26

  • IM GRATEFUL!!!!

  • How do you get your channels like that.?

  • Freaking awesome. Thank you!

  • why you guys keep bitching about God ? just watch lol

  • this man taught me how to use the program in depth

  • can anyone tell me how he recorded what he was playin in the piano

  • @linkinparkMikeShinod he had set up his midi-keyboard, got it all connected and so on, then you can hit the record-button, next to the pause & play-buttons. then choose "automation & Score" on the shit that is popping up. then you can hear a countdown. if it is a 8-bars beat it will cound 8 times then it starts recording, then you are just doing your thing. after the 8-bars beat is over the chopping u did is in the piano roll where u chooped it.

  • Even though NFX takes longer, he is on point. I enjoy watching his tutorials because of this, PATIENCE and I have learnt alot. Infact, I subscribed to his site just because of these tutorials and I am very grateful to God that somene like this exist. So for you inpatient guys, learn to be patient. Pete Rock, Primo or whoever big producers will never dish out secrets like this. Word to the wise. Thanks again NFX.

  • @jamhal73 I'm not grateful to god, he created a world where more than half the population are suffering.

  • @DJKarplex God created the world, man chose to fuck it up.

  • @scfinestbb god created man... god fucked up

Long story short... religion is a load of bullshit

  • @DJKarplex may God have mercy on your soul.

  • @scfinestbb may the "invisible man in the sky" have mercy on my soul? I think I'll take my chances.

  • does anyone know why i cant have the slicer and another plugin, such as the fpc, open at the same time?? please help

  • does anyone know why i cant have the slicer and another plugin, such as the fpc, open at the same time?? please help

  • @kherrera81 Yes. When you click on a track in the step sequencer, lets say you click on the FPC you get up the FPC and the Channel Settings. You simply close the channel settings. So when you open the slicer close the channel settings, get up the FPC, close the channel settings then you have both open at the same time so you can drag and drop your cuts. Hope i explained it in a way thats possible to understand. :)

  • @Kaffeguffe niiiiiiiiiiiice just tried it thx

  • Nfx, dude, I love you

    No Homo

  • where can i find some samples, someone help

  • Dude, you just gotta do you. What kinda style beats you like? Look at those producers and the what they sample and how they sample, you'll learn alot from just listening to beats. Trust me i was in your position a while ago.

  • how do u chop ur smples to have them turned into the step sequencer so each button plays the chop with out it playing it all thru every time u light a button.its overlapping and doesnt play each chop seperately

  • wtf how did he get rid of piano roll???

  • you can adjust that in the settings

  • Too much time on your tutorial but a lot of information!!! Thanks dude!

  • very useful and inspiring :D

  • Dude your tutorials are too much time

  • but very good

  • Yes its true , but i think that if the tutorials wasn't sooooooo much time it would be better .

  • great tutorial as always

but i have a problem..when i open a sample in the slicer it doesn´t chop it. it stays in a single row. is it a file conversion problem? i use cool edit pro for samples and save them as .wav

    thanks

  • cool! ps nice beat man...

  • very helpful thanks sir

  • very helpful man! thx alot

    greetz from belgium

  • I got a question, maybe someone here can help. Let's say I import a sample as an audio clip. So on the piano roll it's just that one sample and as you go up and down the keys the pitch is higher or lower depending on where you hit it on the piano. Well, I've noticed that when I hit the lower keys, the sample actually gets stretched and plays slower. Is there a way to play a sample on the piano roll that keeps the length the same and just changes the pitch as you go up and down? thanks in advance

  • yeah, I got FL7 and the same problem. waddaeyedoo??

  • Comment removed

  • @SpiceyGrooves

    Use Granulizer.

  • Nice tuts dude but is there any way to chop vocals from an mp3 file and use them as samples????????????

  • yeah just import it in the slicer

  • Hey Everyone, does anybody know why when i slice some wav form data from a sample in the fl slicer its volume goes down? and even if a turn it up to 100% volumen its not the same volume as when i just use the sample without slicing out.. please help.. if u dont understand my question let me know.. thanks

  • Try "normalize" it at the channel settings, or put it into EDISON if you have FL Studio 9, and AMPlifie it, i think this should work ;)

  • You have to normalize the sample...........That's it

  • @Trackzshootatube whats normalizing do

  • good info thnx 4 sharing man

  • how do u change ur interface/skin or watever its called on ur tables?

  • hey whats going on how are you have the best tutorials on line when it comes down to fl studio i just been having one problem i have fl studio xxl 8 when i go to my sampe and try to time strech it it doesnt have the elastique tonal the only thing they have is just tonal is there any thing close to get the elastique tonal that will get me the same or close tone as if i was to have that feature ?

  • wat are u trying to say ?

  • Thanks, but i refered to the audio he recorded to d playlist..

  • These are 1 of the best Fruity Tutorials on youtube.. trust me I've been through them all... just watch all their vids and you'll know most of what you need to know. Peace..

  • Good stuff man, helped out alot thank u.

  • How can I record as he did ????????????

  • I've done this once with a bigge acapella. Some samples are easier than others in my opinion depends on what your going for. I think this was a good tutorial.thank you.

  • you just gotta switch on the record mode (the one aside your tempo counter) and press play, and everything you play will record, peace...

  • Love ya dog, keep them tutorials comin!

  • Try clicking on a channel... and if I am not mistaking (cause I've only tried it once or twice) you have to hit Ctrl+Z

  • What are those small rectangle channel things in the sequencer? Example of this is when his mouse pointer is on them at 1:58. I've racked my brain on this.

  • Those are channels zipped... you can zip channels to provide a better view of your work space.

  • Thanks for replying. But how is it done? It sounds like it could be useful for me.

  • I thank you very much for all of your tutorials, you taught me all I know about FL Studio

  • where do you get the new icons and stuff

  • Is there anyway you can put the sample into the fruity slice then edit certain sections the sample has been chopped at? so, the red lines on FL slicer, is there any way to move the duration of each chop to your liking, but keep the other sections where they are chopped???

  • Can you export the chopped samples individually...say to put onto my mpc500?

  • You can do it with the Fruity Slicex if you have FL 8, that's how I always make my drumkits.

  • First off, thank you for your videos. You explain things amazingly thorough...they make me want to start using FL again! I use an MPC & have a Mac but am trying to figure out a solution. Anyways, do you know how to chop a sample in like Audacity how you did in the FL slicer when it chops the sample for you in looking for different peeks?

  • how do i quantiz the piano roll? at 07:07

  • please tell us what version of wild world that is ...

  • Fruity Loops, is there nothing it can't do? I downloaded Sonar recently (because its mandatory in my Audio Engineering program), but I find FL Studio to be much-much better.

    Am I crazy?

  • no you're not...

    it's amazing...

  • hey maybe i can get you a copy of cool edit pro

hit me up for the copy.

  • Nice tutorial. I did tis manually in Audicity, with Video Game music like Vectorman and Sonic 3, but This seems simple, I'll have to try it some time.

  • where can you download the skinz that hez using

  • this aint an old fl studio, he just has a different skin retard. anywayz great tutorial warbeats

  • lol that's an old version of fl

  • wat kinda fl is he using?

  • fl 6

  • But I can change the pitch when I put a sample in the Slicer?

  • Comment removed

  • thanks, ure The best

  • hell yea, thats the shit i've been lookin for. Great real time explanations

  • how did you record your own pattern

  • so how did he record the chopped sample?? play the beat and press record?

  • damn, learned alot thanks..

  • i love the slicer!!!! you can make some seriously amazing sounds

  • He's got a new skin for FL?

  • how do you change the polyphony and release to get the mpc out of it so the sounds play thru and dont overlap each other

  • For me, it helps to set the tempo of the loop before dropping the sample into Fruity Slicer. Awesome tutorial!

  • howd u get that skin in fl?!?! or is that an old fl
