I like Avatar. I think it's got some good values, is very original, and I wouldn't mind having kids some day and letting them watch it too. A fail movie won't ruin that.

Nah, hes probably 13. The entire series stretches over a year, and I doubt he ran away RIGHT after he turned twelve. But he seems older than that even. I like to think the series covered the span of how long it was on: three years. That seems more realistic when you look at how the characters matured.

No shit, you're right, they should of pushed to a few more seasons, but with the TLA Movies that are coming out, I don't think they'll ever make a new season, until they reveal the secret of Ursa in the 3rd movie.
the main problem I had with the ending is that it was rushed. With no explanation at all, Aang sleepwalks to a giant lion turtle and learns energy bending...from a giant lion turtle. WTF
a giant turtle that was mentioned through the series. Like at the library in the desert. It didn´t come out of nowhere. its honestly no different than the avatar state, or any other time when he´d suddenly access the spirit world.

Then it pulls energybending out of nowhere, giving aang a way too convient escape from having to kill the fire lord. That's called a deus ex machina, ska cop out. Next the show has katara help Zuko instead of aang which brings up questions of who was supposed to hook up with who, and robs Zuko of the win he deserved. Really the series was great but it deserved a better ending.
@shogun1x what deus ex? the villain was defeated. A deus ex would magically make everything okay and it didn't, aang fought and defeated the bad guy. But he was unwilling to kill him, they've mentioned that throughout the series. It was well established he didn't like the idea of killing. He triumphed and found a way around it. That's why they made the decision a burden, not to say its okay to kill. Zuko has joined forces with lots of people(all I'll say on that).
@shogun1x also the King Bumi episode told him he'd have to do something different and think differently. The swamp and Guru(actually the appa's lost days) episodes showed the whole energy aspect too, though that was also about connectiveness. But it showed the spiritual connecting powers the avatar has. I don't get why some people were eager or even thought Nick, would condone execution/killing by a 13 year old.

Yes the end is trash, I think that is because the company ask too much speed of the authors. Besides the relationship betwen Katara and Aang ended up when Katara leave Aang by Zuko and help him in the Agni kai.
that´s right... after having almost no interaction with each other throughout the story, they suddenly fell in love after she got over her muderous rage directed at him. forget he has a gf too... honestly, avatar doesn´t even give that much importance to romance in the first place. Watch spectacular spiderman if you want a show that cocentrates on such a thing.

Guys the reason there is no Air chapter is because the name of the seasons are dependent on which element he masters so if he all ready has mastered air , there is not going to be a fourth season
If it were to be just like the show, it should be an animated movie.. It'll be easier for them to do the characters' faces, instead of looking for someone who looks like them... Anyway, who knows? maybe they'll find a perfect cast..

Those whose culture is pretty similar to that of Avatar itself.. But, you can find alot of those people in the States, anyway.. The film-makers should be looking out for them.. I mean, imagine Sokka, Katara or Zuko not having a tan-colored skin or something.. I don't know.. but with today's hi-tech-stuff, that's kinda possible..
My friend told me that they already found someone to play Aang--a boy who won a Kung-u tournament or something like that...apparently he has no acting history, but here's to hoping! :3

that´s right... after having almost no interaction with each other throughout the story, they suddenly fell in love after she got over her muderous rage directed at him. forget he has a gf too... honestly, avatar doesn´t even give that much importance to romance in the first place. Watch spectacular spiderman if you want a show that cocentrates on such a thing.

Guys the reason there is no Air chapter is because the name of the seasons are dependent on which element he masters so if he all ready has mastered air , there is not going to be a fourth season

If it were to be just like the show, it should be an animated movie.. It'll be easier for them to do the characters' faces, instead of looking for someone who looks like them... Anyway, who knows? maybe they'll find a perfect cast..

Yeah.. THAT'll be weird.. For me, they should cast Asians, or at least, Asian-Americans or something.. People from, I don't know, China? Japan? Philippines? Malaysia?
Those whose culture is pretty similar to that of Avatar itself.. But, you can find alot of those people in the States, anyway.. The film-makers should be looking out for them.. I mean, imagine Sokka, Katara or Zuko not having a tan-colored skin or something.. I don't know.. but with today's hi-tech-stuff, that's kinda possible..

My friend told me that they already found someone to play Aang--a boy who won a Kung-u tournament or something like that...apparently he has no acting history, but here's to hoping! :3
All I know is I will be in that theatre when it comes out. :3

Aang's "actor" is "Noah Ringer".... yeah, he's some kid-champion in a kung-fu thing...
Now they just have to find a few more people to play the lead characters....
I can't think of ANY actor present in Hollywood do do the other characters except... well, their voice actors....
I really can't imagine seeing them in live action... They really have to look like the characters...
