As far as my seeing "the future", I can't say exactly what I did. My result was not expected. It was rare and beautiful but I honestly don't know how to recreate it.

I, too, had the same experience with hypnosis. I'm a hypnotist familiar with Transpersonal Hypnotherapy. Three years ago, I did a little self hypnosis with the aim of finding my optimal profession. The visualization showed me as a professor with a different last name. Funny, I've recently met two men with that last name and am entertaining the idea of returning to college to finish my Ph.D.
I still find myself amazed by the information locked in our minds.
Could you share more what you went through to be able to hypnotise yourself? I've been doing this for 2 years or so at least once a month and usually I just imagine stuff that I want to happen, it's easier at that state, but I never really came across any random details popping out of nowhere.

His book Past lives, Future lives revealed has tons of information on this subject. Also you can have a look a Dr. Brian Weiss's work in this field.
