  • I dont like how hard you have to smush the buttons. I just opened mine and I really noticed a big difference between the intuos3 and intuos4 buttons. You have to really smush harder!

  • its important to note that while the intuous4 has a more textured surface than the intuous3, the pen nibs are made of the same material, therefore many people have been experiencing nibs that deteriorate within the first month

  • I am so proud that a teenager is as good as any tech reviewer I have seen. You have talents boy! Keep doing what you are doing!

On a second thought, I will be getting this, the medium tablet, as it seems like the larger tablets and the smaller version... hmm... Like the larger has TO much space and the smaller one has to little. It seems that the medium is the sweet spot.

Again, keep doing what you are doing. Its great and extremely detailed.

  • i clicked this thinking it would be pretty funny seeing a kid triyng to do a review, but well played man, the most useful one for the intuos4 ive seen yet. keep going.

  • You're great, man. Keep doing what you're doing.

  • Awesome overview! Wanna se the review know!

  • in the small pic around 2.00 u are using it the wrong way round :)

and the mouse doesnt come with every tablet,u can choose not to have it...

Otherwise its a cool review ;)

  • does the pen work in the way a mouse does (tracking around the screen until you press a button to activate whatever function you are using) or does it work like an on screen tablet where every time the pen touches the surface it activates the tool (like holding down the button on a mouse) ?

basically, if i wanted to draw a line can i just make contact with the tablet with the pen or would i need to make contact then hold down a button on the pen to activate it?

  • @danbe1000 When you just wish to navigate with your cursor using the pen then you simply hover the pen over the tablet without touching the tablet itself and move around and when you wish to actually click on something or draw you put or tap your pen gently on the tablet depending on which sort of action you wish to cause. For drawing or selecting multiply items you put the pen on the tablet and slide it where ever you want to,and to click you tap it once for a click and twice for a double click.

  • COOL! :)

  • $350???

Holy shit this baby cost me near $600 here is Ukraine!

But its still worth every cent of that money)

  • hes left handed i think....

  • 1:14 he uses it the wrong way

he has to turn it around!

wacom why don't you send me one!

  • omg a little kid

when i as so young , pcs were just as calculators ahahah

    nice channel btw

  • The only problem folks find with these things is the nibs wear out really really quickly and they're £13 for five spares :o. The wacom forums (europe) are up to page 37 with complaints on this and there is even an e'petition under some users names which I have gladly signed due to this bad design & rip off issue.

  • well isn't the medium like smaller, I mean does it give enough space. Cuz I tried lookin at the measurements and I drew it it and it looks like they only added a inch bigger than the smaller.

  • It gives more than enough space. Trust me. .

  • he got it for free from WACOM because he is giving them publisity

  • "...I killed it, but I got over it..." hahaha!

Kid, you made a cool review -oh sorry, OVERVIEW ;-)

  • Would you rather give your kid a Tablet, or an Xbox so he can waste his life?

  • wat if we can't get a wacom intuos 4 medium, is small ok, I mean like does it give more space to draw or is it harder to draw?

  • Everyone likes the medium more because the small does not have the lighted LED's, so you need to remember which button does what. That's the only drawback to the small (other than it's size).

  • pretty good review, pointed out some stuff other reviews hadnt

  • Awesome! Thanks for your review.

  • u made it for a lefty when your right handed

  • are you a guy or a girl... i cant tell

  • thank you >>

  • Awesome review. Thanks for not being montone, like other reviews.

  • Monotone*

  • popeye forearms kid lol. Ur review was good fuck all these jealous lames. They could be the next Dali but they'll go unoticed their whole hateful miserable lives. Pathetic.

  • I've been in front of my computer for hours googling reviews, yours was by far the best and informative. I was planning to buy a bamboo fun but your overview makes me want to have Intuos4 right now!lol Thanks for your overview. It really helped me a lot on deciding.

You are brilliant. keep it up!

  • nice review man, nice to see an intelligent kid on youtube! keep up the good work!

just ordered my Intuos4 today! Can't wait to get it now!

  • You do not need to be an artist to own a tablet. The Wacom company knows it's customers like a versatile product, which is why it can be used as a mouse, a drawing pad, a scrap book tool, etc.

  • I've never seen an intelligent kid on youtube xD

This is easily the most useful review of the intuos 4 around.

By the way... I am planning to buy an intuos but unfortunately I can't afford the medium one :\

Don't you know if the smallest one is any worse than this? I mean I know the smallest doesn't have the illuminating display but thats not even important to me... I am worrying about the size of the tablet. Will it not hold me up when I run out of usable surface?

    Thanks for the review :)

  • I will buy small one and I don't worry about size because I work all the time with small size tablet and it doesn't effect my work.

It's all about how good are you.

  • If you tend to use very much broader strokes, a medium is good, but honestly, it shouldn't matter, I think. You shouldn't run out of space when you zoom in. o.O

  • i baught the small one and later upgraded to the mediums one. there are virtually no differences except the lack of LCD display, drawing space. and you miss out on 2 programmable buttons. i personally like the extra space on the medium. but if u are comfortable with the small one just go with it. its not worth the xtra money to upgrade if you can use the small

  • hey bro, nice video. may i ask u smth? yeah? ok^^ do you use your intous for drawing or just for retouching pics, cuz i wanna draw big objets like cars so i would buy the M but im not sure whether its too small,

  • I love your videos. Like another comment said, you actually know how to speak english. haha.

    Keep it up!

  • i'm wondering, will this work with cs3? i don't want to have to upgrade my suite just to upgrade my hardware.

  • I saw a vid where someone (have absolutely no clue why) decided to program a music player with the LED labeled buttons, so if it can do that then yes it can work with CS3. They are not co-dependant of each other because Wacom doesn't make CS3, Adobe does. Hope this helps!

  • Cosa puo farsene poi un bambino di uno strumento professionale come questo? Boh?

  • It amazes me how many people criticize videos that they don't even watch. Just to clarify to those who are a little slow: THIS IS A REVIEW UNIT. Neither I, nor any of my family members paid for this unit. This was sent to me at no charge by Wacom so that I could do a review/overview.

  • @MacTipsPodcast Just wondering why they let someone as young as you have it reviewed. I am in no way critiscing you for your age (we're probly the same age) but I keep seeing a bunch of adolescent tech proffesionals on here. I just don't get it.

  • @MacTipsPodcast Great review and i have a question....how do you get up with wacom to say ya we will send you a table for you to do a review on at no charge to you (and did you have to send it back?)

  • @MacTipsPodcast Wait so what age where you when this was posted?

  • @MacTipsPodcast what a pitty, from wacom to send you that piece of awesomeness.

  • Very good review! Ignore the negative people. You spoke a little fast but this 56 year old woman was able to keep up.

I was thinking of buying the Bamboo Fun for my embroidery digitizing but I think you've sent me the direction of the Intuos4. Now the big decition small or medium. Hmmmmm.

Thanks for the video, I'm looking forward to future reviews from you.

  • Thanks!

I would probably go for the medium, just because of the customizable buttons. The small doesn't have the LED buttons.

  • @MacTipsPodcast LOL you have old people watching your videos

  • I don't see why the rating is so low...he gives usefull information...people are just jealous :/

  • Thanks for the overview, and thanks for actually articulating words better than most poeple can here on good ol' youtube.

  • O_o; Someone hasn't watched many of his videos.

  • Dude. Don't pound on him. Adults need to grow up. He did a very good overview and it convinced me to buy it. Besides, at least he doesn't sit around and play video games and talk crap about good videos on YouTube all day.

By the way, just because he has a tablet doesn't make him spoiled.

  • Woaahhhh Do you draw with it at all? Nice review 8D

Im geeting the small version soon 8D

  • this is stupid... everything you told us in your "review" i could read on the wacom homepage...

people start buying tablets because its "cool" to own one... it doesn't matter if you have no use for it because you aren't an artist

  • Wacom is pronounced WALK-um, not WAKE-um. This comes from the people at WALK-um.

  • -w-; It must be nice to have parents that spoil u rotten...

  • just cause he has a tablet doesnt make him spoiled? im getting the small intuos tomorro, and i got it thru busting my ass painting a giant office building for 3 weeks, maybe he worked for it too

  • Damn, what a bunch of haters in these comments!!! Don't be jealous that this kid has an Intous4 and you don't! My girl is getting me one this weekend for our anniversary so I can better edit my photography. Decent review man. Keep it up.

  • Yes I am jealous and I am a kid, but I'm pretty sure this kid doesn't want to be an artist like myself.

  • So, one has to be an "artist" to do an overview? There's nothing wrong about this kid doing an overview. Wacom sent him one themselves, go be jealous with them, not the kid.

  • Well if you don't give the product to an artist it cant be fully used and appreciated enough to be able to successfully be reviewed.

  • oh you wanna be an artist eh? go work n buy yourself one, so u wanna be an artist! omg lemme ship u a tablet right away!!! i want to animate, n worked to afford mine, go buy yourself one

  • buy a life , if you can !

  • Dont be jealous. Lol if the kid has a tablet then he has a tablet. Dont hate 8D JUst get cash

  • you're using it the wrong way, as you might have noticed it's possible to use either right handed or left handed. that way you can draw with your right hand, and use the buttons with your left hand. i don't know how you afford all this... it hurts to see kids like you losing track of how things work in the real world

  • DAMNIT! I completely agree.... Little Posers!

  • I HATE these kids!!!!! They have everything from their father and in fact they dont need them. There is a talented 17 years old somewhere who still draws on paper! Why this kid have this???

  • yeah i feel great, a 9 year old with an intuos4..........

  • agree'd.

I vote we hunt him down, murder him and take his intuos4. Also... HE HAS MAC! DIEEEEEEEE!

  • lol i was thinking the exact same thing

  • So have you had enough time to review it yet? :)

  • sweet i want to buy one now.

  • How'd you get Wacom to send you the tablet?! Free?

  • Normally, this is just a tablet for evaluation. They wanted his review on it, and he certainly doesn't own it, at least I'm sure of that. I may be wrong. He'll eventually have to send it back for others to review, as this is normal with the review circuit.

  • Mouse doesn't come with Japanese models, but way cheaper in Japan.

  • I didn't know that. Thanks for the correction.

  • waacom not waycom..

  • i think he playes WoW or whatever withit

show us how u draw something in photoshop or model something in ZBrush

    or WHATEVER

  • !!!!!!!!!!can anyone tell me how you get on the list for wacom to send you their products from review?!!!!!!!!!

  • You need to be established as a technology reviewer, and have have an audience. They won't just send them to anybody, and often times, you're required to return them. If you want to become a tech reviewer just to get free stuff, don't. If you actually have a review site, then just send an email to Wacom's PR using the contact button on their site. Good luck!

  • that was a good review. thank you! :D

  • Thanks!

  • You're a great communicator dude,

    Great review.
