OMG, the japanese voice over is awesome, I had the europe version of this of game, and I played it several times all with different language, the English version is the best seconded by the Japanese version and Spanish version got third place. (Personally, I think so)
try playing this on crushing. Damn near inpossible even though I'm up to chapter 13 I belive. that difficulty is whats keeping me from getting a platinum.
You just gotta use cover very efficiently and blindfire most of the time. I recomend prioritizing getting shotguns and if needed smith&wesson magnums. Grenade launchers are fine too if you can get your hands on one.
Its not hard, it just takes time and patience. You have to advance slower in crushing than the other modes.
to be quite frank Tomb Raider has become pretty bad compared to Uncharted. It feels more clear like that Uncharted has taken TR's throne of treasure hunting games.

I got the platinum, its not that hard.
