I am lucky to be born after Gaalib.....I know what is philosophy now....had I been born and died before him, I would have read Bhagwad, Quran, Illiad etc and satisfied my thirst for knowledge and understanding of life. I could have never known the thirst of my soul that gets quinched only after reading or listening Galib. Salute to Galib, Salute to Nasrrudin Shah, Salute to Jagjit ji....
Civilizations go through phases. Ghalib is an example of how rich the philosophy and metaphysical ideas were in the Islamic civilization just 150 years ago. Let us try to get there again, so that we could contribute positively to the world.
Let us do whatever we can, its not just about poetry.
lucky abeshak . she is lookin so cute in muslim out fit . love the lyrics and look at the combination best ghazal singer jagit sung it , best poetry best singer , and offcourse best asish ............... loving it
The new version of "Umraw Jan Ada" is nice work but the face of Abhishak Bachan is not looking like a "Mughal" he is looking like a Patan. Mira Asad Ullah Khan sahab or Jagjeet sb ki kia baath hay.. wah wah Bazichaye athfal hay dunya mere aagay.
Wah, Dunya meray Aagay... Mirza Mughal. you see in new version of this story Patan are looking in the place of Mughals.... Abhishak looking like a Pashtun not Like a Khan (Mughal) Rubbish Mirza Ghalib.
After listening to this ghazal I remembered this beautiful words by Mirza Ghalib. Vaiz na tum piyo, na kisi ko oila sako kya bat hai tumhari sharabe tuhur ki Mirza Ghalib You neither drink Nor offer to others Then O priest Why should you speak Of the wine That's divine Which no one can taste And no one drink? Aishwarya Roy looks nice in shalwar Kamiz and thanks a lot for sharing this ghazal with youtube.
Ghalib, As soon as I hear this the whole Urdu poetry comes before my eyes.
Each word is like a perl, each sher is like a magic & the full gazal is like an Ocean. Ghalib U r marvelous. We proud of U that U beloned to our own city.
Hue Muddat k Ghalib Mar gaya par yaad ata hai har ek baat pe u kehna k un hota to kya Hota.
Means to say that the world is like a child's game before me, and the same thing happens in front of me everyday & the last sher of this gazal is that the poet has no power in his hands even to lift something like wine but his eyes are still full of enthusiasm that's why he asked someone not to carry the wine before his eyes. Rest of I forget if I'll get a chance to hear I'll tell u. The video is not working in order. Zubair Ahmad New Delhi
The world is like a child's play to me and I am used to watch these acrobats forever. The desert becomes visible to me even covered within sand. Can see the river from the bottom depth. Don't ask me about my feelings behind you instead watch yourself in front of me. My faith stops me when evil forces pulls me out as Kaaba is behind me while Pop (father) is in the front. Let's keep the drinks over here although I I can't move with weak hands but can see it with my eyes.
i wish tht jagjit singh's rendition would have been the same in today's time as well...sadly it has deteriorated too much owing to commercial songs...anyway maestro at its best
i love mirza
