  • This fills my heart with the love and purity of God! Thank you! And salve Regina!

  • Ever since the days of Adam, man has been hiding from God and saying, "God is hard to find."

    - Arcibishop Fulton Sheen

  • @temp911Luke well quoted

    God bless you !

  • @prosepp Thanks brotha. Have a wonderful day.

    God bless you !

  • Fuck this ambience !

  • What are they saying?

  • I love the chant.

  • I've noticed too the similarity between Russian Orthodox antiphons and (older) Latin Catholics hymns as well. Yes, this does sound a lot like Orthodox liturgical song leading up to the Divine Liturgy of the Eucharist. I only wish the Roman Church would rediscover the beauty of their own liturgy before it got "Improved"!

  • AMAZING! They hit the second harmonic at several points in the rendition. I've only heard Buddhist monks manage that. Wonder if that was intentional or were several brothers just matched perfectly in pitch?

  • Is this true gregorian chant? It sounds like a slightly westernised russian orthodox choir! It's marvelous anyway!

  • 0:48-3:56 Matka Boska Czestochowska mudl sie za nami .

  • A divine moment!

  • No Catholic worships Mary. We pray to her for help and graces and intercession. She leads us to Jesus, Jesus leads us to the Father, and the Father sends the Holy Spirit, and the Father gives us to Jesus. A wow - the chicken or the egg thing. Isn't the Holy Trinity mysterious? But wait - God is Love. Love God and you, too, can know God.

  • @rolandrog Appreciate your explanation. Not sure of the background but I wonder where people get this stuff?

  • WOW

  • My brother went to school here and sang this Salve Regina too! I get goosebumps every time I visit and hear this :-))

  • @prosepp. Thank you for your comment. And you are blessed as myself. Cheers.

  • wonderful music

  • @CannibalCobra32 that´s what it is, indeed

  • Is a very very beautiful music and an excellent performance. Thanks for uploading and sharing

  • @PIEDRAHITAJORGE thanks for commenting

  • a great and beautiful chant respect

  • @dirkvp78 yes, a great performance of a great chant.

  • Holy Mary, we commend the whole human race to your immaculate heart. Lead it to acknowledge your divine Son Jesus as the Savior of the world!

  • @coachkfan1 here where i live, last saturday the bishop commended our diocese to the immaculate heart of Mary and the blessed heart of Jesus. It was a great day for us !!

    May she protect you !

  • ha the great Abbey of Einsiedeln where still great traditions are kept.

  • @oblatusosb the great traditions are not only kept at Einsiedeln. But you are right, it is a very special atmosphere there. Some weeks ago i had the opportunity to have a visit there

  • I bought a cassette tape years ago with this particular piece and played that tape over and over again until it has poor sound quality. Have listened to many chants on YouTube and this is one of my favorites, Thanks prosepp - superb work!

  • @oyhacrnnR very pleased to read that !

  • God does not protect us from torture, humiliation, nudity, hunger, the hatred, the mockery and the cruelty of the spiritually sick, no... Those who love Him, He protects them from sin, our greatest common plague. And what is sin ? Self-destruction and the rejection of God's love.

  • @Versgolem you are right - but you forgot one point: God does not want all those bad things. They are the product of sin

May HE always bless and shelter you !

  • One strain and I am captured.... Never release my sou,l oh Spirit of the Living God! I want to be possessed by the Spirit of Love forever!

    In Carmel,

    †Andrea

  • @AndreaKnepp may all the saints of the Carmel pray for you on the throne of the Highest !

it is always good to have them as friends.

    Be blessed and sheltered,

    Eduard

  • Salve Reina.

  • @CarloFabiane salve Reina !

  • 1 Corinzi 13, 1-13

    bless

  • @lorenzojhwh may God bless you, too

  • @prosepp bless

    love

shalom + salam = blessings too

  • grazie

  • For me, this does not at all sound Gregorian. It may be based on a Gregorian chant, but the arrangement is definitely Romantic.

  • Does anyone know where I can find a version of this where the choir sings alongside with an organ?

  • @Sword1479 the salve Regina usually is sung without organ

  • I went to Saint Meinrad College, which was founded by the Benedictine Monks from Einsiedeln.

  • @oakking1 may he (Saint Meinrad) pray for you

  • I asked Mary to help me know her, feel closer to her - I've always felt distant from her as she's so Holy- and now I keep running into these sort of posts---THANK YOU MARY, and you to Prosepp. God Bless.

  • @mark200457 Her holiness should not keep you away from knowing her.

Just open your heart to her immacculate love and let her love you. Jump into her mother´s arms and let her protect you.

You can talk to her as you talk to your mother, as she is given us to be our heavenly mother. She really IS our mother - and she loves each one of us and leads us to Jesus, our redeemer

May she guide and teach you !!

    Eduard

  • @prosepp Thank you for your very kind and encouraging words.

  • @mark200457 thank you. I just tried to share what i realize as real as i live it.

For many yrears i belonged to those people who were shaking head on those who are worshiping her.

But after my conversion i learned quite fast, that Jesus Christ, who said "I am the path, the truth and the live" are true, and that the way of getting closer to him, of finding out that HE really IS what HE says, can be found and walked by taking mother Mary´s guiding hands

  • Beautiful ! & recorded in the year of my birth ! Thanks for posting.

    Pax Vobiscum !

  • @Mickeyoldkent Pax Tecum !

  • Truly beautiful! May our blessed and ever immaculate mother Mary be praised until the end of time!

  • @Dolfo13 you are so right !

  • pacis exisisto vobis

  • @Iesu2012 PAX tecum !

  • @prosepp Et cum spiritu tuo !

  • Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

  • @jgallagher44 Blessed art thou amongst women and blest is the fruit of thy womb

  • This isn't gregorian. It sounds bysantine, although the words are in Latin

  • Yes it sounds like an orthodox chant of slaic tradition

Amen.

  • O My..... Its so amazing that I get the goosbumps while listening to it..... Thank You so so so much for adding this song. Regards from Poland!

  • Thank you very much.

I will always remember the pilgrimage tour 2007 on following the footsteps of Mother Mary and John Paul II in Poland.

  • @prosepp I am Polish and I am glad you enjoyed my country.... I live in the U.S. now, but Poland will always be in my heart.

  • @jackass122676 I greatly miss John Paul II. What a wonderful man of God and a great citizen of Poland and the world.

  • It is uncommon to have a Gregorian chant transcribed for a polyphony. But if we lost the monophonic character of this prayer, we gain such a beautiful and sacred-spirit song!

Thank you for having posted this!

  • thanks for your comment, od bless you !

  • Absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for posting. Peace.

  • Nice music! And a nice picture (the second with the flowers), from where, whom is it?

  • well, i can´t tell you from whom it is.

It was painted in Poland, basic is the motive of painting at Tschenstochau sanctuary, the national shrine of Poland.

i once searched up a series of variations of "Our Lady of Tschenstochau", but it is more than a year ago now, so that i don´t remember where i found them on the net.

Except the first one, all the pictures of this video are from that cyclus

    greetings

  • It is based on "Our Lady of Czestochowa."

  • thanks

  • ok, seems you have a problem with the catholic church.

What hinours you, is, that you don´t only give a bad comment, but stand to what you write. That´s not very usual in these times, where many people just walk around and leave anonymous agressions.

But - and that is my question to you:

What has my video to do with your problem ? What is that way this video tells (as you are saying) ??

    That´s just something i don´t understand.

    greetings and blessings to you

    Eduard

  • Zeer schoon!

  • Is this Pater Lukas' choir?

  • i told the details i found out in the video description.

  • Fantastic arrangement and decent performance. I'm wondering if anyone knows when it was created and by whom.

  • the cd says author unknown.

i gave the data i have in the video info

  • I did ask a similar question and I finaly did found an excellent scientific book published about this "Salve Regina"

    author: Helg, Lukas

title: Das Einsiedler Salve Regina - eine musikgeschichtliche Studie

(You can find it in US, GB, Can, CH and Germ libreries)

Here you can read that, from the development since the medieval and early modern times this Salve Regina in the actual version has been elaborated and printed around 1790 by the Benedictin Pater of Einsiedeln Markus Landwing.

  • Schitterend!

  • Ich liebe es ^_^
