I played and beat this game after I beat Secret of Mana... it wasn't bad but I always thought there was something fishy about Evermore .. later I learned it was not made in japan - that explained it : P

I have such fond memories of this game. Was never able to beat it as a child because my cartridge froze in the white tower, but recently I found another copy and beat it. The game is a gem, although I wish it was a bit more difficult and harder to buff your spells. There were a lot of bugs in it as well, it deserved a lot more tlc than it got. Also would have loved a 2 player option a la Secret of Mana.

I highly doubt Nintendo would rehash it for the VC, but that would be all sorts of awesome.

@LinguistTroubadour It wasn't remade, these are the original tracks. No remastering. This is pure Jeremy Soule, as done for the original production.

@Jiom WHAT?! That's amazing. Thank you for that tidbit of information! I'd heard that the sound engine of Secret of Evermore limited Soule as to what he really wanted to put into the game. Knowing that this is how he originally envisioned it makes it that much better. The second track in particular is incredibly impressive.

To anyone else who likes the more dark and mysterious side of the Evermore soundtrack, you can do it like I do and start at 5:07 (which begins with the haunting as hell track 3). Then get ready for one of the most laid back yet badass experiences of your life. Thanks so much for the upload, by the way!

This music never gets boring, I have listened to the OST endless times.. Everyone has his or her favorites when it comes to music in games, this definitely is mine! Cheers to anyone who shares my taste :-)
